    Mr Devs, Listen Up!

Welp, I finally gave into my selfish desire to complain about this game (online).. so here it is. I don't have the time to go into some long winded explanation for each. If you play with me in game send me a message in discord or by all means pick up a phone and call if you wanna talk. The phone is that small white rectangle thing you keep with you all the time and and can call your mother with at any given time but you DON'T. To begin, all suggestions are to make the game more fun. What is fun might you ask? Well, something that is fun can be many things, but it's always entertaining. What is entertaining? Well, that varies from person to person and even more so if your a psychopath. What I'm about to suggest applies to a good portion of people who play games and not those 'gents on the fringe. -People like to win significant prizes that matter. Think winning a car vs a toothpick. -People like to progress with their ability to play. You should become better by playing, and rewarded more for doing so well. -People want to feel like they matter in the game. -People are more rewarded with victories when losses can result in pursuit of said victories. (Think risk vs reward.) -The game can't be unwinnable So lets knock these babies down one by one shall we? Okie dokie. -When you win a campaign, you gain a strength advantage for the next campaign. I know you like to think of each campaign as a war. Please don't. Think of each as a long battle. Each battle makes the victor harvest better. Hit harder. Chop quicker. Smell faster. Whatever. Make it strategic and not set. (i.e. different scores or captures enable different bonuses at the end. Spice it up. Whatever you want.) People appreciate cosmetic items. They don't desire them. What everybody wants in a war simulator is to not die, and more importantly, kill whoever is trying to kill you. No fancy hat can replicate that. Make the consequences of losing a campaign matter. Give people a prize gem that makes craftables stronger or a super powerful hat... whatever the marketing department wants. -While we are on consequences, you need to remove endless respawn. If you die, it should cost gold to resurrect. Each time you die the cost gets higher. When you run out of gold you can't resurrect. I'm not saying your character gets deleted, but If somebody (probably my guild) wants to keep funding your desperate acts of pvp, they can, but it should come at a SIGNIFICANT RESOURCE cost. Every single thing in this game is a resource and finite. Why isn't the most important resource?Your LIFE. -Passive trainings are an unmitigated trainwreck right now. The system simply doesn't encourage gameplay. Bad. Not trained enough and keep getting zOmgWTFpwnEd 1v1 by "Al-vi-ah"? Just turn off the game Joseph, and wait a month....Hey devs, how bout instead of all that jazz, you make the person play your game and enjoy it, and maybe, well, I dunno... spend some money along the way? Nobody spends money on games they don't play. This new mechanic will force people to get out there and do all of the things they should be doing.. like farming mushrooms, silver ore and "heartwood...." Whatever that is. Want to be a blacksmith? Here's a wild idea. Go blacksmith some stuff! You need to incorporate some sort of active training. I'm not saying passive can't be a part of it, but man is it a drag attaching passive time to anything that's suppose to be immediately entertaining. -The zerg is out of control. The reason is population. I'm not talking about "hey you need to coordinate better." That's not this. Strategy is important, but when one server has 90 and the other 20..... no secret chant that will win you that battle ducks. Here's the fix, make a reward based system for kills. Something that really really matters. Like honor or something and it gives you access to better craftables. stats, or whatever. (Once again, see marketing department.) Make that resource you gain from kills directly linked to the server population or how many people are in the zone. If my army of 20 drunken misfits kills another poorly coordinated zerg of 100, I better damn well get a huge reward for it, and a lb or two of glory to boot! -Risk. We need more of it. I know the direction is you drop the contents of your inventory when you die in certain campaigns. Great. I'm thinking you might even drop everything when you die, but then you would drastically rebalance the resource cost of gear. I'm not sure, but right now there's minimal risk for dieing. Minimal risk for farming... and pretty much everything else. Remember. Risk VS Reward. Some serious entertainment can be had through satisfaction, and satisfaction can be had by risking everything for a huge reward. Make it happen! Get creative! Marketing Department!!! -Balance. Not those clowns on the faction. I'm talking about the zerg again folks. The good 'ol swarm. For Aiur! You need to massively incentivize getting kills on low pop factions devs. Make people WANT to switch sides because of the INSANE benefits they will reap for being victorious. You shouldn't force it, just let it occur naturally. Want excrement rewards? Fight 20 guys with 100. Want the megamillion's jackpot payoff? Defeat Hax 30v5 with a single ballista. (I kid.) Do more with less. It's your choice, and reap the rewards as they come. Even if you don't win the campaign, you should get huge "points" for kills. -Win conditions are unacceptable right now. I know you're proposing additional routes to victory like crafting or whoever farms the most spruce trees or whatever, (On a side note, please don't do that. Any of that)and I look forward to those being implemented, but right now you can log 100 people strong on one side and 50 on the other and the smaller force simply can't win. That is not a winnable game and the fun is sucked right out of it like a dyson zerg-vacuum. I've literally logged off pre siege when I saw over triple the numbers on the opposing side and instead picked up the phone and called my mother. To conclude, please do all of these things. Or none of them, I've already bought several copies of the game. Regards, DickBaker'sCat

    Fury class

I agree there is group play, but just isn't as deep as I prefer. This is due to the lack of power types/options, limited bar size, class options, etc. Just the way it's designed which isn't bad, but other games have offered more. No real non-Dps/heal roles to fill for support/cc/debuffer/buffers, etc. Lots of flavors of DPS and CC tacked on along with the required healers which have a small pool to choose from. In the moment I can't choose from XYZ debuffs to play against a particular individual or team comp. With every choice, our options are limited so that it turns into whatever is meta, broke, OP floating to the top. This can be seen in plenty of games/genres. Game gets stale, devs intervene, new meta, repeat. Again, isn't bad but limits on-going creativity as it usually hits a wall until magically someone finds something no one has tried or devs change the game. Once XYZ comp is constructed it all comes down to the limitations it has. Can't step outside the box in the moment. Compared to games that have more tools available across the board and allow more experimenting and on-going choices. I only played Shadowbane briefly, but I believe this is part of what people enjoyed about it.

    Gifting the game

Welcome to the forums, you can transfer items (including game bundles) from your account to another account via the gifting system. Both accounts need to have 2-factor-authentification activated in order to use the gifting system. It's part of the functions you can find in your account profile. Have fun, good luck. Kraahk

    Mr Devs, Listen Up!

Just some short toughts i had when i read your text. -I think when you play a game and you are on top and get rewarded is nice. But when you are able to craft (significant) better items or hit harder, just because you won before, the one guild will stay on top and nobody wants to fight them. For factions it will be that everybody will just join the strongest faction. I have seen this before and this is not really working.(The "honor" systems is something they already announced and are working on) -The risk of loosing items that i wear...... You are not a crafter i assume, but just imagine you are the guildcrafter, and you are in a good guild, and i mean your guys are running around in topnotch EQ. thats nice, but everybody can die when the opponents are just more. So you have to recraft all the items all the time or to be really lucky to kill this guys while he has your EQ. When you have bluegear, thats easy and fast to recraft, but epic or even Legendary, the time and effort you invest to get such items would be a too hugh loss. -No really important thoughts on the other points mentioned

Test Server Missing Craft Buff Potions?

That's what we're told. It'll pretty much insure that no one bothers seriously crafting gear for the 1st month of 5.110 since gear from tribes will be better than anything we can make (barring whatever is being changed). Crafting on test will suffer accordingly.

    Templar Suggestions

So before I start. Just letting people know that I am very new to the game. So any ignorance about class mechanics are expected on my part. With that said I like being a part of Community discussions. I would like this discussion to be EDUCATIONAL and CONSTRUCTIVE. Before I begin. I just want to point out that I am not taking any numbers tuning into account. This discussion is strictly game play. With that out of the way lets begin. BTW my grammar is terrible. I think faster then I can type. Just fair warning. So far my favorite class in Crowfall is the Templar. This does not surprise me since I have the most fun play this archetype in many games. I.E. Paladin in World of Warcraft, Guardian in Guild Wars 2, Crusader in Diablo 3 ext... Obviously the glaring weakness with Templar is mobility. Atleast IMHO. With that said I dont think Censure is working as intended. Its just to hard to land even on PvE mobs. This could be fixed with a simple pass-over during beta (since the devs have bigger things to deal with atm) I completely understand why its still buggy. One way I could see helping Templar mobility is not to give them a gap closer but instead just giving them Slows. Make it so someone has to think twice about charging or attacking a Templar because their ability to run away would get worse. Templar's are Justice seekers alot of the times the Holy Warrior archetype in games is seen as the policing force. Or a Royal Guard. Never searching for a fight but when a fight does happen make sure the enemy/villain cant just get away. (How else would they send them to the chopping block?) Another thing i've noticed is how CC reliant the Templar is. With Retaliate being spammable with enough stam. I think Retaliate should have a CD(think Wow's PvP anti CC trinket that"s on a 2min CD) Across all Classes. The CD time can be tuned to the dev's liking. Next in my list is Divine Light. This ability is really good on paper. However anyone who plays any large scale pvp game knows that theory doesn't always work in practice. So I think a rework of that one ability could solve a few issues. Take Divine Light and rename it to Divine Presence. It should still keep its CD. Then instead of having it placed on the grond simply attatch it to the Templar themselves. Change the size or make it weaker but since this is a large portion of my Righteousness i think it should stick with me and not over yonder sitting outside the battle because people moved. With the announcement from the December 4th's Q&A mentioning disciplines costing talent points to get some of their effect. You could add more to the base classes and give Templar another Ground use ability that acts like it should, A large sanctified ground that is very hazardous to the enemies health. That ability shouldnt be just placed willy nilly either. Could even make it slow anyone caught inside when it was cast and anyone hit by the damage pulses. All in all I love that Classes in the game have Strengths and weaknesses. With this game being still being in Pre-Alpha its amazing how much this game has going for it. In a world of games that are "forever Beta" like alot of Steam games This games Pre-Alpha blows those games "Beta" out of the water. Hopefully this creates a decent discussion to give the dev's a direction to go with the Templar. TL;DR I think Templar's roles should be to punish those who over extend I.E by slowing and immobilizing anyone (such as a Hungry Knight/Myrmidon) Making them regret jumping in like they did. As always this is Pre-Alpha so I am positive their will be numbers and class tuning/changes coming when entering Beta. P.S. Again I apologize if this is hard to read. I have terrible grammar.

    Fury class

While there is room for more creativity in the disciplines available, the "meta" has been shifting around quite a bit in the last several campaigns. Debuff and buff and CC roles meant to enable specific angles of attack are starting to appear. It's becoming fairly diverse and interesting, imo. People just have to be unafraid to break the mold and have a group of people willing to assist your idea. There's been interesting uses of class combos for fire damage trains, "fire bomb" groups, piercing damage trains, anti-Frontline comps with shieldbreaker+troubadour, full ranged fallback/kite comps, pull-into-bomb comps, and more. There are for sure some core abilities discs you'll see everywhere, like pixie and elementalist, but there's still plenty of room for different builds right now and people are starting to get quite creative. Most of these builds surround a group strategy of how to get kills, rather then a single player with a specific build enabling an entire style of play.

They were a large part of the Goon Swarm Federation. Archeage. Nothing too notable. Played a Nightrunner. Albion Online (Beta). Was with the Guild "iron bank" (think thats what it was called). It had some huge drama at the start of the game...Stories on it are on the internet. Sharky or something was the GM's name. GW2(Beta) and Live. Never found a decent guild but was active with WvW and Conquest as Guardian and Reaper. Many Survival/Crafting games(7 Days to Die, Minecraft, Conan Exiles, Ext...). For Honor (Warden). Frostweaver is coming in 5.110, which is scheduled to go live in February. Testing of specific pieces of the build are supposed to begin this month on the test server, but no idea exactly when or what pieces will be included. That said, at some point, the entire build has to make it to test before it goes live, so at some point between now and February, you'll likely get the chance to try the Frostweaver.

    Vanguards 5.100 Class Tier Lists!

So we thought it might be a fun idea to make a tier list for the 4 main roles you come across when playing in a group. This is both to give new players an idea of the viable promotions, and to share our view on how the different classes stand. *DISCLAIMER - remember this is very subjective and based on our opinions and experiences from numerous fights throughout this patch. How do we determine their ranks? You can see our spreadsheet here: SPREADSHEET LINK Each role has some different variables, and then to prevent the options from becoming too big - we chose to focus on what wins you campaigns currently, meaning how the different classes perform in their designated role, when fighting over objectives. This means forts and keeps(sieges). This also means that niche roles or spec groups are not included in the determination of their ranks. But to try and give a fair rating, since some classes shine when defending and are worse when attacking and vice versa, we put both those variables in. Siege Offensive: Rating on how well that class performs on an offensive siege. Variables: Enemy guards, Enemy Ballista fire, Defenders, Size of the area (both long and short range). Siege Defensive: Rating on how well that class performs on a defensive siege. Variables: Enemy Siege weapons, Attackers, Bottlenecks, Size of the area (both long and short range). Fort Offensive: Rating on how well that class performs on an offensive fort fight. Variables: Enemy guards, Defenders, Size of the area (mainly close range). Fort Defensive: Rating on how well that class performs on a defensive fort fight. Variables: Attackers, Size of the area (mainly close range). Alright, let's get to it! (remember click to zoooooooooooom) FRONTLINE Main goal is to soak damage and lockdown enemies. Variables: Prevent enemies from getting to your group, creating space and pressure, how easy they are killed. *click to zoom MELEE DPS Main goal is to kill enemies as a melee dps. Variables: Damage output, ability to stay on target, how easy they get killed. *click to zoom RANGED DPS Main goal is to kill enemies from range. Variables: Damage output, ability to stay on target, how easy they get killed. *click to zoom SUPPORT Main goal is to heal and buff your team. Variables: Healing output, buffs, ability to land heals reliably, how easy they get killed. *click to zoom Hope you enjoy our Tier List, and let us know if you agree or not 😄 ________________________________________________ Do you want to join Vanguard? Updated Realistic Weather

This is really "far out" but what if the map was synced to the actual earth, and weather was not random weather, but the actual real time weather of earth. Earth, at any given moment, has all 4 seasons occurring, so at any point in a campaign, you can poll an API for the most realistic weather patterns required. I think it would be an added element to PVP that would be fun. "Damn, we cant go to the fort this way, there is a blizzard, we have to go through that 1 pass" or "Damn, we were late to defend the fort, now a flood blocks our pass, we will never make it in time, arrrgg!". "Crap, a blizzard, I cant even see the nodes now, I can barely see trees"
  32. 1 point

    Updated Realistic Weather

I think it would be cool is weather was more realistic, as in there were light rains, and heavy rains, and even floods, which made travel difficult (slow) or impossible. Same for snow. Making it pile up 1", 2"... 12", etc.

    Great cosmetic way to monetize?

I'm concerned about how this game will survive after launch. I think they should look to Path of Exile for applicable solutions: 1) sell costumes and dyes for costumes and hair 2) sell special effects like particles and such 3) sell inventory tabs and force all users to work out of the account stash so those tabs fill up quick I also wouldn't mind a pet bunny. Just sayin'.

    Best Assassin build?

Melee is struggeling in 5.100, mostly because of the changed melee range. Effectively the 3 m range in combination with desync of the server makes it near impossible to actually hit your opponent. At the very least makes it extremely easy for the target to kite. In comparisen ranged will be able to hit you from a mile away (over exaggeration) with a huge hitbox. You literally dont even need to have the reticule lit up, you will still hit. In addition one of the big reasons to take an assassin would be the anti-heal. Unfortunately this has been nerfed to being useless, instead everyone takes PlagueLord for the 30m 1hit 1application ability. Something the assassin needs 6 attacks to match... just from melee. So ATM there is really no “best” assassin build, cause the class is broken. You can make it work, but its not effective compared to other classes ... Best of luck
