Though you are obviously a great artist, I believe that such a great story could need a slightly different touch - and I couldn't resist to do the efforts. I hope that's ok for you. P.S.: Stop playing WoW classic!

    Beneficial harvest power...

the amount of ressources you get out of the note is only influenced by the critical chance/amount. Benefical buff has no influence on the amount or the quality of ressources, as far as i know

The thing is, when fighting templars, you basically have to know you're not going to hit hard. They have some natural counters to the confessor. The confessors strength is also not to just throw fireballs into a melee ball. I went through a couple of your videos and while your play in terms of staying alive is not bad, you spend a lot of time throwing fireballs at targets that are less than optimal. It is naturally going to happen at times as there isn't always an ideal situation. The second video, it looks like you are fighting a black guard and they have a ton of anti crit so you're not getting any crits but you get a pretty solid absolve at the end. The thing to always remember is that all a ranger really does is deal single target damage from a long distance. They have a couple of good utility/CC abilities but the confessor reigns supreme in this area. Their physics took a pretty hard nerf but it is still notable and valuable. You just have to plan/position better to take advantage of it. Others have put it well in the thread pointing out that Archers in melee have a really bad time. They also have a really bad time if a confessor gets on them. They are going to either die or be forced so far out of the fight that they are effectively removed for a decent chunk of time. Edit - If you want to talk more Confessor at some point, shoot me a PM or you can find me on Discord. I tend to try to avoid long discussions on the boards just because a lot of it can end up where you're talking past each other.

    Beneficial harvest power...

The Beneficial harvest power is the "stength" of the buff as @Zirone said. With better critical chance you have a higher possibility to roll the critical harvest table where the highest qualities are, that's all the influence on what you will get as far as I know.

No they didn't. And it's not a product... For those of use with reading comprehension we understand that this game is in development. Just because those who kickstarted, or bought their way in later has access to play the test build in no way means it's a final product. Thus we aren't getting bent over fallacious expectations. It's their livelihood. None of them are making money on the side that they can just flip the game the finger. People are seriously harsh on developers. No one wants to see what they put their passion into fail. While we would all love for it to be further along, what we would all hate more is that the game came out incomplete and there is no seconds chances for release. Right now most people aren't vested in this game except as an idea they heard about. So if it pops out later and is amazing, it will draw people in. The reverse isn't true. I understood the risk in 2015 when I backed the game a lot of things could happen that would make the game never launch. You mean these greedy ones AAA games are beholden to like Activsion, EA, Bethesda (owned by Zenimax). Who have been releasing utter garbage to players and then trying to squeeze every dime out of them on top of the purchase price through predatory cash shops? The same companies that have been the center of scandal and controversy through end of 2018 and all of 2019? I thought the whole point of the kickstarter was to avoid ACE being beholden to companies like that. I mean, if we had a super AI that could pop out software like a factory pops out a car, that would be kind of awesome. Just talk to the AI and tell it your idea and with a snap it's able to construct perfect code that accomplishes that idea and implements it into your game. Cars are made by machines. Of course they won't take the same amount of time. I think people misunderstand what a core module is here. This was released already. It's the basis for which all other systems have been building on and adding. It's how we went from hunger dome, to beach head, to campaign worlds. Each new system is a module added to the core of which eventually builds the game. Not to be confused with base game + expansions.

Holding info back from proven fans and backers to wait and give info to mmorpg.com. Where people just quickly spool through the opinion of a writer who does a blurb about what they saw. Filtering it farther away from any interesting/useful information. Is it 1999 again? I just do not get it. Yall used to be good at talking with us. Now you don't even talk to us, you talk to others who filter that even more. I get that yall do not have interesting things to tell us. But that is not our problem. That is yalls problem. If you can't be arsed because it is just too much work making the game to let folks know what you are doing. Then you are doing many many things wrong. People ask the vets what they think, none of them are complementary now, because we have no information. Nor even informed speculation.

Confessors actually have higher sustained dps if you are just looking at that which is kind of a terrible way judge each class. Both are exceptional damage dealers and the confessor actually brings more utility + AoE to the table. They are also extremely slippery so they can be pretty difficult to kill. The archer bring some hard hits from a huge distance away. Ranger rapid fire also only does one hit scan and will continue to damage the target while you damage them no matter where you aim. You can out range it or interrupt the ranger but those are the only two ways to stop it. Their damage is mostly limited to single target. If they are woodelf, they also are fairly slippery but generally are easier to kill than a confessor(From the viewpoint of a Confessor)

Sorry, but no, they didn't. At kickstarter they shared a delivery estimation for the core module. With the core module being the base the game will be built up on. So, that's an estimation, not a promise. And that's a core modul, not a game. Backing a game development comes with no guarantees at all, just the promise to use the money for the development and to do their best to deliver at some point. That's all. Backing doesn't mean buying, but supporting. If you would have understood this back then, you wouldn't be upset now. Neither if you wouldn't have understood it by now. And this discrepency is what is mainly causing the friction. This being said: Please get me right, I completely understand your frustration. I share it to some point and have shown my frustration about this or that myself often enough (and not always too constructively) throughout the years. In my own field of business I have to deliver result highly punctual. A six months project needs to be finished on day x, no matter what poorly made socks happened in between. However, your example doesn't work out, because, as I said, backing a development is not buying a game, and estimations are not promises. In my personal opinion, what we got up to now is already more than the core module kickstarter was about. Yes, some things are still missing, but then again other things got implemented which have not been part of it (or not to that extent). Whatsoever, the biggest pro in my eyes is the independency from investors. Which was their major reason to give us the opportunity to back the development of this game. It was the number one reason for me to participate back then ... and I believe it's the number one reason why this game is still being developed ... instead of just being cancelled, because it takes to long to give the Investors a nice rate of return. But they are still fighting to get it done. Nobody can say they just took the money, sat back and enjoyed a happy life. Through a long period of time they also listened extremely well to player feedback and changed a lot. Everybody who participated in this feedbackfest can't honestly accuse them of being late. We had our not insignificant part in it. I also agree that the gaming industry has some flaws that should be taken care of. Just like the refund policies. In europe this lead to the law that you can always get a refund for a bought product within 14 days. But, this game is not done yet, right, it is still testing. So actually you "really get" the game only at launch and you should be able to get a refund 14 days after that. But it's not the case, testing it already counts. Be that as it may, that's an issue that can't be solved regarding one single company. And definitely not in a single games forum. tl;dr: I understand your frustration, but I also think it wouldn't hurt if you would include additional sides into your perspectives. If you want to change something, there are ways (with more effort). If you just want to share your frustration and/or blow off steam, that's ok, too. I understand, others understand, I am sure ACE understand, too. Though that doesn't necessarily mean that any of them will publicly agree or put energy into solving this or that issue (or maybe even at all). Anyways, never forget to Have fun, good luck Kraahk

I'm not sure what your expectations are for a playable game, but we're leveling vessels, farming loot, gathering mats, crafting gear, and fighting over POIs, all in direct competition with the opposing factions. If you're waiting for the storyline quests, the queued PvP battlegrounds, instanced raids, and 1v1 PvP class balance, this is not the game you were looking for.

    Battlefield tactics when outnumbered

Battlefield tactics Having participated in a number of big fights I thought about writing down some observations on battlefield tactics that might be useful for everybody to analyse and think about when fighting. This constitutes by no means an exhaustive analysis, it’s just some pointers to help people and give them insights. When your force is outnumbered in a big fight employ cleaver tactics to alleviate this imbalance and turn the tables in your favour: 1- The salami tactic This is the underlaying tactic when facing superior forces: pick off the weakest targets one by one to weaken the opponent. No frontal assaults just one slice of salami at a time, Take all the time you needs to achieve this. 2- Choke points During sieges use the breach in the walls to stop an enemy attacking force or to fight defenders. This choke point will allow you to alleviate the opponents superior forces and to pick off the weakest targets by chain pulling them or simply dps-ing those own. Also use the cc and dps abilities of confessors in these situations. The goal is to kill the enemy force one by one. 3- The roundabout When outnumbered you can in some situations use the terrain features to kite larger groups of enemies around a big rock or a friendly bane tree (in case of a bane tree this will increase the damage done to and slow his enemy). This will again allow you to weaken and pick off one target at a time and kill it. 4- Feint retreat Try to keep the initiative by superior movement speed To reshuffle the cards in your favour during a fight you can sometimes feint a retreat to look for a choke point or a roundabout or just to escape a stalemate. 5- Maneuverability Try to retain superior movement speed and flexibility compared to your enemies. This will grants you the initiative. For example learn to fight on the move. Conclusion – Train, train and train again Please share your thoughts on this!
