    Combat Feels Bad Still

I used to test a lot, but then I got a little burnt out and stopped coming around as much. Just started a new character a couple weeks ago and did a little bit of leveling. The game is much slicker than when I left, and the NPE is tight. I think leveling a character to 30 feels relatively fast, and I was able to get the hang of everything quickly. I got cool drops, I was able to interact iwth the crafting system. I had only two complaints, and one of them is kind of trivial: I don't think I really understand the spirit bank/embargo system still, and the NPE didn't really clue me in at all. Even just a static image explanation when I open up the world bank in town would be helpful. The bigger one is this though: Combat still feels pretty bad. The buttons aren't as responsive as I expect from a hotbar MMO, there doesn't seem to be any action queueing or lag compensation, it doesn't even check held buttons when CD's clear. So I frequently find myself having to hit a button a couple times to get it to "take" because I accidentally hit it during the last 100ms of the cooldown. This can be a playstyle, just spamming buttons until they activate. And that doesn't even feel that bad. But when you have "hold to cast" buttons, that's not really an option. I actually think hold to cast feels bad generally, I'd rather you guys did almost anything else for variable-strength spells. I'm coming off classic wow now, so the massive difference in how things feel during combat really sticks out. In classic wow, hitting the same 3 or 4 buttons over and over again feels really good and I can do it for hours. In crowfall, I get tired of it after 30 minutes or so. I don't think I have the chops to spot and point out everything that frustrates me with this to give you a full list of the issues, I just have a general constant feeling of struggling with the controls. I still have the same issue I did a year or two ago where my character will stop responding a second or more in advance of anything visually happening to them that would cause them to stop responding. I'll still have issues where my shots vanish instead of hitting my target on the regular. It sucks because you guys have put a lot of work into making the macro of this game fun, but until the micro is also fun, I can't play it long enough to enjoy it.

new player here...just some feedback. 1- Map. I use the map alot in MMOs, especially PVP centric games. i noticed when i map in, it takes a significant amount of time for the map to render (5-10 seconds). while this may not seem like alot of time, in a PVP game, that could be life or death. is there a way to speed this up? 2- Inventory and Paperdoll when looting when i hit F to loot, half my screen is taken up by my paperdoll, my inventory, the mob's loot box, my tray bars, and the left side menu icons. if i forgot to X a previous window, i think that also pops up in the background. why so many things when i loot? i'm not sure if any of these things have already been addressed/discussed....is there a NPE thread somewhere?

[EU] - Caldera - [CAL] - Playing with Fire

Interview with Metauriel When did you become a Caldera recruit? Late 2015 Why did you choose to join Caldera? I was looking for an organised and active Guild during the first Alpha phase after kick-starter. One day, I found two candidates I was seriously thinking about applying to. That night in the hungerdome, me and my group where attacked by Caldera while looting some zombies, two of my allies dying before I could close my loot window. The next morning, I applied... What activities do you take part in as a member/recruit of Caldera? I am the main organiser of all things PvP, doing a lot of theory-crafting discussions, planning, and helping fellow guild members improve in combat. On the side I also play the game sometimes, mostly during sieges, for training, or when someone needs help. If someone asked you about joining Caldera, what would you say to encourage them to apply? To me, Caldera is both an organisation and a family. As an organisation we are competitive yet respectful towards others, and always strive to improve and succeed together. As a family we share our time, fun, knowledge, and in-game goods with each other, and of course go through the occasional internal conflict. Any advice for new recruits during their trial to become members? Be active, ask as many questions as you can, and learn as much as you can. Caldera is about being part of a living community, and improve together. What are your main passive(s)? Combat What is your best memory while being in Caldera? There are many awesome memories over the last four years, but one of them is an evening where we organised a guild harvesting session during the "big-world" test phase. While our harvesters were harvesting in the most valuable and dangerous area of the map, I was in charge of two combat groups and multiple scouts to fend off the various other groups active on the map. I am proud to say that during about three hours of light skirmishes and occasional group fights, no enemy ever got close enough to actually get eyes on our harvesters. Why do you like Crowfall? What interests me about Crowfall is the enclosed, temporary campaigns, where hundreds or thousands of players and player-run organisations fight for victory, and the organisational challenge that emerges from player driven economies and conflicts. Any advice you would give to testers looking at Crowfall? When you try the game, be aware of its state. By now it does a good job pretending to be a game, but it is still very much a prototype. Figure out if you are willing to actually play it at this stage, or if you are just looking to see where its going, or to help with development. And if you do want to play it, FIND a GUILD.

Supporting the Community : Caldera has throughout its time in Crowfall been trying to also give back to the community with events and information : The Colloseum. One of the first compiling of the crafting combinations Future works in progress : We're working on more for the community, so here are the two latest branches on that list : The Crafting Combinations are changing with every other path (or so) and to make sure you have the latest information we have compiled most of it for you (@shoutout to @Sonicbang for the great work and of course Winterblades for the initial spreadsheet its based off) Updated Version of the Crafting Combination Trade and commerce is something which has been somewhat confined to Eternal Kingdoms where some of the more presistent ones, like " @sarthor's Lawn", have paved the way for others as an inspiration. While Caldera at the present time doesn't have a public Eternal Kingdom for trade, we are in the process of making a public trading post : The Grand Bazaar. Loosing battles, doesn't mean loosing the war Just before the Trial of Maeve, Caldera stood in front of a lot of changes to our ranks. The "Trial of Maeve" became a story of how to stay in the fight, while not drowning from the opposition we faced - "How loosing some battles doesn't mean loosing the war." Caldera chose to conform each day of the trial to match what goals we ultimately believed would yield the most points at the end of the seasons. With loyal members, allies and a burst of energy from a new roster Caldera has managed to come through the campaign with a lot of scars, yet also our heads held high. Ultimately Crowfall isn't about how many feathers you're able to place in your hat, it's about points. Racking up as many as you can, eventually allowing you to export the spoils of winning a campaign. While we're not at that stage of development, that is how Caldera will persist in treating the game - as intended by the development team. Apply Now

Game released or still in Beta?

Welcome back ... again. I think we are all tired about guessing when launch will happen ... including the developers. However, here's the current state: There is already a 24/7 LIVE server (download here) with the testing environment. Accessible for all Backers with Beta-3 access or higher (which is actually everybody who bought any game bundle). The last missing links to close the game circle (mounts, caravans, refineries, guild vs. guild and some others) are currently in their final development stage and scheduled to enter the live environment in January/February 2020. This will put Crowfall into Alpha state (looking if all the parts of the game fit together or need changes) and then Beta (fine-tuning). This basically means that we will have something we could call a full game in the first quarter of 2020. Official launch (and last reset) maybe end of 2020. During the current year a lot of things have been implemented or changed. Since you already do have access, I would suggest to log in and take a look for yourself to be up to date. Most things you see ingame will stay this way now. Here is a short description how to get yourself combat ready as fast as possible, for those who haven't played yet (or this year). Have fun, good luck and see you later. Kraahk

    Combat Feels Bad Still

It's hard for me to put into words but combat still feels off. Combination of movements/attacks not having enough weight, animations/visuals effects too fast or too unnoticeable for being proactive/reactive, positioning isn't rewarded greatly, lack of collision/physics/aiming, forgiving targeting or lack of despite several design choices focused on the reticle and supposed aim, messy UI and visuals, and so on. Along with optimization and the issues you addressed. My hope is some of that gets cleaned and tightened up, but not sure if this team has enough talent with experience in this area. While those things could improve, I have stronger doubts about the powers and character design that make up combat itself. While there is some variety, most classes seem rather one/two directional with little complexity. Hit left mouse a few times, get a buff or trigger something, hit 1-2 other things that benefit, repeat. Toss in some oh crap buttons and whatever DMG+CC for filler. While games like WoW had maybe too many spells, others like GW2 cleaned up the bar and went more with variety. GW2 classes with the weapon system can play fairly different even with a small hotbar between builds. Promo classes and Disciplines (sub-classes?) simply do not add the variety I believe is needed or that ACE seems to say they provide. This makes Crowfall's learning curve not so high which is good, but the ceiling is low as well. Not sure if there is any way to improve this beyond going over each class and promo one by one and putting a good deal of time into them. Sounds like ACE plans to look at early classes to maybe spice them up to be as interesting as newer ones, but overall even the newer ones don't differ too much. I wouldn't say all classes are homogenized but the variety of powers and effects is bland compared to several much older games. When it comes down to it the typical stack and burn a target combat happens and is how most games go, but I guess I at least like the illusion that what I'm doing matters more then just adding more DPS/Healing to the pile. Then again I like the more niche support roles and powers like debuffs/buffs/shields/cleansing and other combat modifiers that change how fights take place and less about how fast/slow someone dies.

Welcome to the forums. The devs will surely read your words and take them into account. So first of all: Thanks for the feedback. I can only answer from a player point ot view and my personal experiences and observations, though. They may be wrong, they may be right. 1. The arch of the lost new players Thats quite some issue right now. There is no real silver lining for new testers. But the developers explained over and over again why. And indeed during the last year a lot of things have been implemented that makes the testing environment a lot more convienient for new testers. But yeah, there is no focus on first-player-experience. This is expected to change in the last part of the development. We are still in Pre-Alpha, which has been defined as the time when single parts of the later game are tested, without the full game loop existing. Focussing on NPE would only cost resources, to build something that would need to be changed later anyways, and by this delay launch even further. It can only be seriously and efficiently tackled, once we have the full game loop. Remember, it's a small company. Large companies may be able to put a few people on such a task. But for this company it would soon be 10% of their ressources and they just can't afford that. Conclusion: New player experience is currently an issue and will only finally be solved near to launch. Those who join should know that they are not players, but technical testers (hough the testing environment already seems to be pretty playable). Should this be communicated on the shop page more urgently? In my personal opinion: definitely yes. However, that's how it is. 2. No seek & hide "Account name = ingame name" has been a very early decision. There are some pro and contra arguments. Pro won (and is most unlikely to change). It could be nice for spying for example. But "having to take responsibility for the own actions" has been deemed more important - and it fits the basic principle of Crowfall "risk vs. reward". You are you, no matter what body you use. Your account name is not your main login name though, that would currently be your mail adress. So, as for security purposes, it's already not that big of an issue and I am sure they are still thinking about final solutions regarding this whole topic. So if you have any suggestions - that's what the suggestions box is for. 3. Newby Island Having a new-player-zone is basically the principle of the level restrictions for campaigns. There was something like that in shadowbane, and there will be something like that in Crowfall. Obligatory or voluntarily - we don't know. Right now we are in testing ... so nothing's carved in stone. Level restrictions are pretty new, so first of all they are a technical feasibility study. Just creating and testing the ability to do this, in case there may be need for that in all or some worlds of the later game. Watching it from the point of view of someone who experienced the whole development, it seems to make a LOT of sense, though. Both for the new players and the more experienced players. Before that, new players got much more frustrated by getting killed over and over again, everywhere they spawned. So now there is a save place. If you are experienced enough, you won't need more than one or two hours to level up your basic vessel high enough to be able to join the campaign. So that's not really an issue. And, there are enough areas where you can train your fighting skills even within the God's Reach starter areas. 4. Upset or Offset, that's the question Well, that's a design decision. Crowfall don't use tab-targeting. No easy clikedeeclick targeting, you need to aim at your target. That's hard to do if you don't see were you are aiming at, because the reticle is centerd on your character. A lot of variations have been tested so far. The current one is what seems to be the one that makes most sense. Probably not finally carved in stone, but I'd say as good as. Feeback and suggestions to make this change might have to be very good in order make the devs rethink the current reticle system. But, still in development, so still possible, right. A simple "I don't like it" surely won't work, though. Last not least, just an offer to think about: Seemingly degrading anybody who may say anything that may offer explanations about something you mentioned and don't like, by in that case automatically calling them fanboys (btw. what about the girls, hm?), doesn't seem to guarantee the best chances for good answers ... in my opinion. Offering an opinion is cool. Trying to avoid negativ feedback, too. Doing it by turning down certain kinds of answers right from the start ... is not. Though Crowfall is a PvP game, our community is usually quite accomodating and able to discuss different opinions appropriately. I can only hope it stays that way. But it would need all of us. You too. Just saying. Have fun, good luck Kraahk

victurus, i felt the same way but eventually succumbed to watching a ton of videos on youtube. i think, technically, CF is still considered pre-alpha. there are a lot of quality of life changes that NEED to be implemented. i just started on weds and have a bunch of reservations as well. but, watching big pvp battles makes me think i just need to play and learn and just deal with a lot of the things i don't like/find different.

    Returning player with questions

Welcome back to the forums. Just a few and short answers. I am sure other will be able to tell more. 1. Passive training is not gone. It's just that VIP won't give you 3 instead of 2 training options (now everybody has 2). 2. White vessel maybe 2 hours max. White needs about 17k sacrifice points, green 30k, blue 50k, purple 90k, orange 125k (all roundabout). Nearly everything can be sacrificed, but depending on the quality level of the item, it won't give SP at some point anymore (like white give no SP anymore for a green vessel lvl 13). So yes, you can buy. But looting should make more sense. 4. It's currently not possible to pass stronghold pieces on ingame. Maybe later, maybe not. 5. No information yet. But since 6 slots are open ingame, with 3 slots greyed out ... it seems to be so. Have fun

I didn't say that it was something they consider low priority. I said it is something that I think should be considered a higher priority than it seems to be. Maybe it is a higher priority but it really hasn't seemed like it other than an offhand mention here and there. Best I can do is hope attention is given to it.
  16. 2 points
I mean, we're looking at February so I'm not sure it is a "now" kind of thing. I can tell you from the perspective of a mid sized guild that it really should be higher priority than it feels like it is being set at. Ignoring the person count just required for crafting, right now you have to store your resources/components directly on an account that one person can access. This means that that person needs to be on to be able to access any of those resources. From a crafting stance, this also means you need to have people who own crafters to be on as well. Making a runic book for a confessor requires at least 5 crafters(Wood, Blacksmith, Runecrafter, Leatherworker, and the Jewelcrafter). You can bypass pieces of this by having multiple accounts(which several of us do) but it still requires a lot of time moving things around and logging in and out as well as making sure the correct people are on at the same time/working out transferring things through others. Winterblades did have a work around for a long while that did give us a shared storage of sorts in the EK. We used to use cairns for storing all of our pooled resources that could easily be accessed by jumping into the EK and dropping off resources or picking them up.The reason this does not work anymore is because the time out on logging people out also impacts EKs so we do not have a very reliable way to keep the EK open anymore. Also while this "guild storage" option worked, it had its risks and drained time every couple of days. That is because cairns disappear after 3 days so if you don't reset the cairns, you lose everything that was in that cairn when it went poof. So every 2-2.5 days, we would have to reset them. If it was just a person or two resetting them, this could take an hour or more depending on how many cairns there were(the increased respawn time also impacts EKs making this worse). I think at our max, we had something like 30-40 cairns that we had to cycle every couple of days to make sure we were not losing large amounts of resources. Ultimately we had to drop this method once characters timing out in EKs because we couldn't keep it reliably open. The end result is a lot of man hours spent trying to just manage, move and store resources. Yes, we can make some things work as a fill in option but they are an extreme pain to deal with and really only have got worse. If we're wanting 5.110 to get a lot of people looking at the game again and build interest, having something in place to alleviate some of the time drain/frustration with resource/material storage would be be a very good idea.

Interview with Soulreaver When did you become a Caldera recruit? Aug 2016 Why did you choose to join Caldera? Caldera was at the time the most active guild in EU, we were playing hunger-dome and often either allied or opposed each other. Tinnis then recruited me. What activities do you take part in as a member/recruit of Caldera? Ouch.. Recruitment, Interview, Making sure there are activities for members to take part in, Siege leadership, Guild management in general, Farming dust and gear for all ranks, Roaming, Relations with other guilds, Classroom training of certain classes (Ranger and Assassin), theory-crafting, assisting where needed in general so there is no one task. Just a long list and if you ask me tomorrow it'll most likely look different than today. Jack of all trades... If someone asked you about joining Caldera, what would you say to encourage them to apply? If you're looking for a guild which shares everything, in-game goods, knowledge. Whom do their utmost to help each other. Whom are a bit rough around the edges, but where there is room for all kinds of players... young and old, inexperienced and pro. Then this is the place. We don't have a huge online time presence, cause we also take care of our RL, and as such when on - we're on cause we choose to be and cause we choose to aid and assist each other. Any advice for new recruits during their trial to become members? Be active, be open, be informative and listen. Most of all, don't be disrespectful. What would you consider to be your main passive tree(s)? Combat What is your best memory while being in Caldera? Ouch there are many… Memory 1 - Dash to the Fort Memory 2 - Vs Champions Why do you like Crowfall? The seasons change how the game is played, meaning there will be time for each aspect of the game, and how you manage those aspects is what either makes you successful or brings with it failure. Any advice you would give to testers looking at Crowfall? This is a test version of a potential game... Join cause you think the potential it has is good, but don't expect it to deliver yet. There is no such thing as class balance, there are many yet to be implemented features, a lot of the time you will be encountering bugs which are game-stopping and annoying. Despite all that though.. it's a fun "game".

I wasn't trying to justify it. There should absolutely be buffs on those stations. Just pointing out that it isn't that big of a deal. BTW, I tested and using 2 different attributes to make a stone does result in 2 different experimentation tracks, so 20 points would be ideal if you intend to do 2 attributes. I'm not sure that makes sense, though. Doing 3 or 4 different attributes would be counterproductive because we'd never have enough pips to fully experiment all of them. The Necromancy buff works.

    Combat Feels Bad Still

I get the need for the larger components to be good, but being able to build a castle in a random location isn't likely going to compensate for other short comings just as much as top quality combat wouldn't make up for the rest of the game being bland. If this is being sold as a PVP focused game, combat is pretty important part of that. It's one of the first if not the first thing people will look for and experience. Crowfall seems to be just as much sandbox on rails as any other, big difference being games like BDO/AA have a lot more rails and rides. BDO's variety of non-combat systems is matched by few and each one in itself is pretty good to better then anything out there. Crowfall has harvest, craft, with the potential of building, trade, transport coming. Beyond that it's PVE grind for whatever and PVP for objectives, much of which is under dev provided times and rules. Don't see it as more sandy then BDO/Albion or other such games. ACE seems very impressed with their ability to move mountains at will and the 95% same looking worlds their tech can generate, but as a player without control over such things, it isn't going to sell their product. If the cost of variety of quality content is being able to place a castle on a hill, I'd likely choose a more quality overall experience. Next milestone will likely make/break Crowfall's future as they've already basically said "this is it."

    Combat Feels Bad Still

It sucks to admit it, but it's pretty much this. The game sounds great on paper, but it doesn't play that great. The combat just isn't good or fun, specially when you dip out and play a good action combat elsewhere; there's just no comparison. The rest of the gameplay is boring as well. Live service games and MMOs are grindy by nature, but the gameplay has to be fun for you to enjoy the grind. As we inch closer to a release ready state, it just doesn't seem like a whole lot will change. The combat is clunky and uninspired when looked at individally and small scale and devolves into a mindless spam blob when played large scale in sieges. I honestly think ACE should have invested more resources into hiring ppl with a lot of experience in action combat for pvp games, but it's too late now.

I think it's just keeps, and yes, in both infected and campaign worlds. However, the buff doesn't work for the alchemy and runemaking tables, at least in the infected. Not sure about in the campaigns. The buff gives you +2 to the pip cap and +1 pips. You can also get +1 pips from Sumptuous Pot Pie.

So I just purchased and jumped into the game today. So all comments in this post are from a new players point of view and I have no idea if there are fixes or things I am doing wrong. I am simply giving my first impressions and stating what I have seen so many other games do wrong. I have been gaming for 25ish years And I will tell you right off the bat that I am completely lost on what I am supposed to be doing. While I can read forums and watch youtube videos to figure out how to play.. with no in game tutorial or guide.. people will get frustrated and quit. After a few hours I have given up on figuring out what to do and I am about to start reading and watching. But I would hate to see another game come and go because people just simply did not understand it and gave up. Take my words or leave them, but i feel like I just jumped into a korean mmo and there are so many features and no explanation. This can be very overwhelming for new players. Also, why is my account name my character name? I dont get that at all, nor do I like it. Maybe there is a way to change this? I dont know but I know other people will feel the same. Why is there a level requirement to jump into the "main" game which I am assuming campaign is? Some people do not like crafting and just want to kill stuff or pvp. Why is the targeting reticle offset from the character? This is super annoying and discombobulating. So overall, I think alot of players will be very confused and lost right off the bat, and lets face it.. not everyone has the patience to figure the game out. Some people just want to play. Now I am going to go watch some videos and read the forums a bit and figure out what the heck I am suppose to do to get to the main game and play. And for the fan boys.. Im not asking for you to defend the game.. Im not an enemy.. I am simply stating what I think alot of new players will feel. Thats why i'm posting this now before I figure it all out because once we learn the game we forget how confused we were when we first started.

None of the website store or kickstarter mounts are importable a the moment. Presently, you can go to an NPC vendor in the campaign temples and buy the standard mount for 1200 gold. You can loot a recipe to upgrade that mount to a faster epic one, which costs a bunch of leather and some chaos embers.

What It's Like to Play NA Order in 5.100

This is what the 2nd/3rd campaign in a row you’ve chosen Order, the significantly under populated faction on NA? Can’t really cry about numbers when you are intentionally putting yourselves in that position. I only ever see 2 order guilds cooperating with each other. There’s some other small guilds and randoms out there, maybe try to get them working with you? Or befriend Vanguard from EU and have them show you how to steam roll. They do have the best stormcaller in the game after all. If you want better vessels there are several people in balance and chaos that would roll top end bodies for you. My necro is maxed and geared. I’d gladly roll you whatever you want, just bring me the ingredients (including philo stone, don’t have max alchemy yet). Have a fully maxed and geared jeweler as well, will roll those up for you too. Back capping is always going to happen. Most times it’s happening in an effort to find the player(s) doing it for PvP purposes. But points are the objective so capping is required if you want to win. Ragging on people for capping is petty. From fighting you guys, you’re tanky but lack burst dps. And what dps you do have isn’t focused together on one target. This game doesn’t play like others, it takes some time to break those bad tab target habits. Take the advice from players who’ve been here awhile. You’ll have more fun. And that’s what it’s all about.

That's wild! I wonder if this is as much of a surprise to ACE as it is to us? Here's one of the more memorable clips from the show for those uninitiated:

    5.100 LIVE Feedback for 9/4/2019

It seems it's still impossible to hit most green bullseyes when skinning. The problem seems to be that they appear beyond the dead animal body hitbox and so skinning over it doesn't register.

Guild banks are essential for release. They need to be finished well before launch. It’s a GvG/RvR game.
  41. 1 point
You're not alone in that. Guild storage has been a bane of our existence for a very long time and even some of the weird work around solutions we had previously just don't really work now and were inconvenient at best.

I was disappointed that there doesn't seem to be much hope surrounding guild banks - or something of the sort.

Poll: Bring Back good minor discs

Totally agree. Some of us suggested making capstone free soon after they were revealed, took them a while but they did it. They could come around and change passives more later on. I'm all for choice, but having a large pool and few slots just removes creativity IMO. As the meta/fotm and likely overpowered options float to the top. What I'd like to see and seems feasible: 3 Minor Discipline Slots: Equip discipline, get passive or stat benefits automatically. 3 Passive Slots: Class specific passives. Could be base and promo, but likely would need a few more overall for each class. Exploration: Keep it how it is with the passives granted being used by the 3 survival bar passive slots. Major Disciplines : Not sure if it will be completed or scrapped, but the plan seems to be for Major Disciplines to become part of the leveling/talent point system. Where we would need to spent talent points to unlock Major powers/passives or maybe even enhancing them (doubt it). If this does happen, would like passives paid for with points to be given to us without needing to slot them. Besides creating new passives (which the game as a whole needs), this seems relatively doable within what is available. Still requires choices but allows for more build creativity. Not counting exploration, this could result in up to 12 passives factoring in compared to the current 5. Race x 1, Promo Capstone x 1, Class 0-3, Major 0-4, Minor 0-3 (races with extra passive would get another class slot) Still not as deep as many other games, but it helps. Add in the Advantages & Disadvantage system and I might actually buy into them saying this game has an incredibly deep character advancement system. Still not as deep as many other games, but it helps.

    [NA][ORDER] - ELDRITCH | is now recruiting!

Not sure. Seems like Order has more of an active player base than Chaos does currently - at least in terms of participating in PvP (which is what we like). I mean I have more personal kills than the entire HaX guild put together. But I appreciate the offer. I think we are situated pretty well on Order though.

I don't even know if I am going to be allowed to post in there that very message. It will just go poof when I click on Submit Reply. Anyway, nice job with this presentation !

    Champion Builds?

Race: Centaur / Minotaur Role: Front Line Tanky DPS Major Disc: I'd run something to support your party and increase party DPS Minor Disc: I like "Expansive Mind" and "Demons Pact" to open up more options LvL Stats: Strength > Constitution - If you can reach STR cap great, but attack power caps at 1k so once you have a weapon and gear you don't want to be too far over that 1k AP. Gear Stats: Attack Power - Crit Hit Damage - Final Damage Mod are what you're looking for on gear. Get that 1,000 attack power and focus on trying to get to 200% crit hit damage and as close to 40% Final Damage Mod. Weapon: Leverage the crush damage / pen bonus from the Pit Fighter tree and use a great mace. Notes: Keep in mind what a pit fighter is designed to do. You want to be disruptive and self reliant. Break through the front line of combat and get to the back line where you can be a pest. The pit fighter kit has "Ultimate Warrior" & "Invincible Warrior" as personal back pocket heals which should keep you healthy if you're out of range of your healers. Feel out your limitation based on gear level and know when it is time to evacuate yourself to return to your healers for a brief reprieve and top off, then get back to the back lines.

For all you number-crunchers playing @crowfallgame , I recently calculated the Attribute totals for all the races - minus anything you get from the Vessel/Class you use - useful for those trying to figure out the best choice for a particular Harvesting or Crafting role: This when combined with the information below should help making the Racial choice a bit easier for Crafters and Harvesters: (Credit to Tark for the above image. I know, it hurt me too. )
