I disagree. It looks cool but when you have 100 people on screen doing effects... it can get out of control and make it terribly unfun

ACE has fairly good in game rules, and even their forum rules are pretty relaxed by modern day standards... It's just that some people have wanted to complain about everything ACE has done from the beginning, while claiming they are supporters of the game.

What other game that allows this? Even sort of seems to promote it. Love it. Jesus, the "hardcore" trolls constantly implying the AC devs are somehow soft or carebear are out of their minds.

Can somebody super impose this bear in the new Ghost Busters movie and call it Ghost Bearsters? Thanks

I'd like to thank the devs for all the detailed work they have put into making this an awesome Druid attack with swirling smoke and stuff. However I'm thinking the knight needs a hard counter, if he times it just right, a punch to the chest that stops the charging bear right in it's tracks.

Yep, gearing up for that. We don't have a whole lot of people interested like we did going into BDO. Maybe a dozen at this point, but we played the beta and it's something to blow time on. Until then just posting awoo's on /pol/ and making america great again.

I won't say they will fail in a live environment, I just don't think we've seen anything that indicates that they will flourish in one. It's too early to tell anything, it's pre-alpha. Though I will say any guild that does get cocky over such an early stage of testing is probably likely to fail, because people who are used to substantial pvp success do not build confidence over such an early stage of testing... they know it doesn't mean much in regards to proficiency.

Gaea's Wail is a charged projectile attack, which is afaik bounced back to caster if you use your shield, aka Block. So there you have your hard-counter

Most often, it's a matter of having to wait for the work to be completed to a stage that we can film it. You may have seen me say before that we plan web content out about a month in advance; typically, Todd, Blair, Melissa, JGibson and I will meet during last week of the month to plan for the next month. We put each potential update on a PostIt and spread them out on a big wall calendar according to when we think the content will be ready. As each month approaches, we reassess and rearrange the notes accordingly. To make a video can take a few days, depending on what (and who) is being filmed, how much post-production is needed and so on. JGibson is unbelievably good at his job, though, and usually pulls that rabbit right out of his hat just about the time I start to break out in a nervous "Are we gonna make it?" sweat. This is all very different from past projects I've worked on that were already much further along in development before we started showing anything publicly. The need to keep our backers in the loop is a game changer. Preferably, we would wait until everything was firmly set and highly polished before we paraded it around. You should always consider nearly everything you see to still be a work in progress. As Greg said at the end of the video, he's still adjusting the FX.

    Crowfall Pledge Reward Comparison

I get what you are saying. I did message Tyrant just to make sure I wasn't missing any parcels, he did confirm that I'm suppose to have 70 and gave me proof, so that is good enough for me. But thanks for making that sheet. I remember looking at it way back when and it did help me choose even if it wasn't entirely accurate for my situation. I ended up with far more than I thought I would anyways. Cant complain.

    Guild Respect

I don't respect any one guild more than the others. I think if you asked, the current guilds would tell you it's not overly hard to beat up on PuGs. I'll reserve my respect for launch when a true picture can be shown and there are more guilds present and accounted for. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against the current guilds I just don't think the current state of the game is a challenge for them and thus doesn't warrant a praise post. Each and every player that is currently testing and giving feedback is helping to push the game in a forward momentum, I think it would be much more appropriate to show all those players respect, not just the ones who are part of a guild.

No doubt W and Sugoi have earned our respect the most. For as much as they both can dominate they are not serious dbag aholes about winning at any cost either which goes a long way when your testing together on a regular weekly basis. Also the triple D + Z group but looks like they absorbed into W. Trust me there is just a matter of time before more testers and larger guilds presences appear and with it some serious drama.

    Question on parcels

To add on to what Vuris said by dropping a link to the EK FAQ: http://crowfall.com/faq/eternal-kingdoms/ 6. WHAT IS INSIDE A CELL BEFORE I DROP THE PARCEL? EMPTY SPACE? OCEAN FLOOR? Kingdoms start with raw land filled with wilderness. We call an empty cell “wild”; it’s basically untamed (and unusable) forest. You cannot build assets on land that is wild – and, without buildings, the land has very little utility/function. To develop one or more “wild” cells into useable land, you buy parcels (using in-game resources or from our web store) and drop them using the Kingdom Builder tool. Each parcel represents a contiguous tract of land that can be dropped onto your kingdom map. Parcels can have unique shapes (like Tetris pieces) that always fit within the boundaries of one or more cells. Parcels cannot be overlapped (again, like Tetris pieces) but they CAN be moved, so placing them is not a permanent decision. Parcels are just containers, though. A kingdom filled with parcels (and no buildings) would look cool, but have no game effect. ____________ BTW EKs are my jam so if you ever have a question please feel free to ask

Honestly, what do you have to complain about? That this is a place for constuctive conversation about Crowfall and not a garbage dump of pointless hogwash? Just leave already, you're nothing but a waste of space.

    CF Column; Healed to Death

I don't care about what they promised or didn't or how individuals interpreted it or what. I do know that I've played a ton of MMO's with a ton of different role systems (or no real roles at all). What I've discovered is that you have healing in all of them, even if it's not one role doing it. You have a few choices: 1. Potion spam - Black Desert 2. Everyone gets a heal - GW2 3. Protection via bubbles along with potion spam - Skyforge 4. Spammer healer - tab target MMO's like WoW, FFXIV, Aion 5. Healer that also supports, dps's, etc. and splits their time - TERA, Neverwinter, ESO Options 1, 2, and 3 result in a lack of real teamwork due to the watered down or nonexistent role system. If you really want MMO's with no healer where there's still a lot of damage going out, play Black Desert or Skyforge and then you'll be begging for a healer. But because PvP needs to last longer than a few seconds, you have to give people some way to heal back up - the only alternative is to lower incoming damage by a lot so that fights take a longer amount of time with no sources of healing, but as you've seen, that's not fun in the least bit for anybody. It's slow and boring and makes you feel ineffective. So in order to avoid people complaining about healers, you give them alternate methods to heal, which results in people still staying alive a long time. Except now, you have a harder time dealing with that healing because it's not coming from one easily targetable person. So not only is the healing you wanted to get rid of not gone, you can't even deal with it easily so you're doubly frustrated now. Not what I want in an MMO, how about you? Number 4 is what everybody has issue with and we're not getting that here. Number 5 works well, because the person playing the healer gets to have more fun because they're doing a wider variety of activities and feel more actively in the fight, while still having the fun of healing. And it means great teamwork is encouraged on both sides to play well. Crowfall is doing a modified version of number 5, with even less healing than those games offer, but an otherwise similar class idea where the main support class is expected to perform a wide range of activities within a fight in order to be effective. I think ACE has come to a nice middle ground with that idea - realizing that you can't get rid of healing entirely in an MMO. You need to have it come from somewhere, and it's best to have it come from one person. But to appease those afraid of too much healing, they've toned it down a bit. It sounds good so far and until we see the Druid in action, there's not much to complain about because you really don't know how it's going to be until you play it. And even then, expect a lot of changes before it's final.

    Hello Everyone

Good afternoon and welcome to the community, Shadowbane IMO was cut short We have a group of guys that play alot of different games atm the focus being The Division, Planetside 2, League of Legends and soon Overwatch.

Meh,I doubt many people thought we would hit full release for end of this year. It is still bloody impressive what is playable now (just over a year after the kickstarter) and compare that to other Kickstarted PvP MMOs that have had a few more years of development. I am super happy the way things have progressed and almost feel I got my $500 worth of entertainment from this sapphire package already. Just keep polishing and bringing features online. When the game loop, performance, crafting, and character building systems are online I will be very happy. Even if it is summer 2017. Give us bits to play and test often and I will stick around

I agree with Ashen. SA's road layout is dumb. But, Dallas is worse. If you ever get a chance pull up Dallas on a map... zoom waaay out to see the entire map of Ft Worth & Dallas metro area and then look really close at the major highways. If you can figure out what its shaped as, well... I'll give you a cookie.
