  2. Hail comrades and Western dissidents. I am Supreme Leader of The United Socialist Soviet Republics for the Glory of Proletarian Revolution or USSRGP and we are recruiting comrades who are interested in smashing the Crowfall Bourgeoisie and Capitalist classes that will infest the game. We at USSRGP recognize the inherent exploitation that occurs when you have a "ruling class" and a "crafter class". Where Marx described a "dictatorship of the Proletariat" we aim for a "dictatorship of the crafters". Our aim is to use the PvP class in a glorious October revolution to smash Bloodstones and ot

  4. Sounds like some very cool and unique powers, this archetype should shake up small squad tactics a bit. But in a campaign world why would I spend hours and days harvesting and crafting walls for a fortified city when an army of Duelist can press 1 button and circumvent all that effort to construct them, unless Magic Walls.

  7. A subscription that gives progression, cosmetic and convenience benefits is only P2W (in my mind, as Jah says) to those who believe the baseline should be essentially free play every month. Thus the reason I disfavor all F2P games and even B2P games. I strongly prefer a subscription model where everyone understands you have to pay monthly. But if VIP just lets you wear a purple cape rather than yellow or some such then, ya, nobody cares about that poorly made socks.

I have no problem with VIP giving small advantages. To me, small advantages are not "pay to win." If you are going to spend serious time playing Crowfall you should be willing to contribute to keeping the service alive. If the only way ACE can convince people to pay the bills is to offer them advantages, that is far better than watching the game go out of business. Playing without paying VIP should be for people who don't play a lot, don't care a lot, or people who are broke. They should feel as though they can still enjoy the game, can still contribute, and can still kill people. But

We are showing all-in pricing now per EU regulations, but Emergent is still showing dollar totals so you get a mixed message there. In about a month we will be on a new system that is local currencies end-to-end. Sorry for the confusion, and it you believe you have be charged incorrectly we'd love to work with you at support@crowfall.com.

  11. Except the duelist will be stealthed, and gets to choose when and where to fight you. So.. just stay away from walls? I hope they can't burrow up ramps and walls, and ideally rocky terrain as well. Not just because it's more immersive - it also makes tactical positioning and use of walls more interesting. Imagine a group of defenders on their walls defending against a siege, one gets knocked off to the ground and instantly ambushed by three guineceans. "Don't go down there, Nazdar. There's rodents about."

  12. I'm curious what it actually takes to get "out of combat" to burrow again. It could end up being incredibly risky to pop up inside an enemy castle and not be able to burrow back out. Also I think this ability will change the meta for how people are constructing their castles. For example I would not have any ramps to get up on the walls and jump off un-gated to prevent duelists from popping in, getting a kill and just quickly going over a wall.

  15. Hmmm... still theorycrafting ofc, but... hmmm "When this power [Vanish, the iFrame] is activated, the Duelist is taken out of combat and placed into burrow (stealth mode)." Out of combat, so... Burrow mode with Ambush and Cannon Barrage? With the Vanish's keg... "After a few seconds the barrel will explode, dealing damage and knocking down all enemies within 5m range." Vanish -> few second waiting -> enemy knocked down -> easy Cannon Barrage -> Ambush (3 pips), so continue as you like O.o But at least I don't see easy "spammable" escape, as the only getaway is Vanish (a good

  16. Everyone forgot about the champion, equally useless compared to high tier archetypes right now. All this new technology but it seems only the newest archetypes are receiving them. I'm sure they know the scaling is off and intend to fix it just much later in the dev process, more concerned about each archetypes viable kit since the new archetypes just have better abilities than the previous ones.

  18. well not saying it doesn't have any potential but so did many other games which didn't make it into a commercial version or alpha so yeah.... Unless we see any first footage of the world, characters or details about the system I'd say - let's see what they got.

  19. Nothing like EverQuest Next it seems. For now what we know or see so far, there is no significant innovation or something different from all the other Indie Sandbox-MMO games. If they would take it serious what they said yesterday, they would have to make EverQuest Next. http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2016-09-30-amazon-wants-to-disrupt-industry-locked-into-sequel-mentality If these are really their intentions and what they not only want to but going to do, and they want this Sandbox-MMO type game, they would have to create EverQuest Next. 20. Damn, looks OP. I hate furry races, and tiny races (gnomes) and stealth archetypes. This guy combines them all lol, the caster's nightmare. I can see a lot of rage happening on my part until I learn how to deal with this tiny bastard! Good job ACE.

  24. It really depends on the type of minigame, and whether or not participation is mandatory or not. Like in the Rhythm game example I gave, it can be a take it or leave it deal. If you want to min max and get the most out of your time or simply be engaged in what you are doing then you can play the game. If not, if you would rather be chatting, paying attention to your surroundings or just going afk, then you can choose not to do it. You can easily make a minigame cater to both crowds rather then the current plan of 'do nothing' which only caters to the one.

  25. Or Impaling spikes put just inside the wall. Duelist burrow to their doom.

  26. Duelists will be as squishy, if not more, as Rangers. Plus, at base, they only have one way to heal, which has an RNG chance to proc. If an army of Duelists burrow under the walls, it's very likely that the're gonna be killed in short order.

  27. I have planned on the duelist from the announcement they existed. Everything from the primary stats to the playstyle is absolutely tailored to my playstyle. Please don't change it. This is the best news I've seen so far. Bravo Blix, Bravo!

  28. In the USSRPG we take climate change very seriously. As, climate change affects all crafters and workers it is the number 1 danger to the people. Sapphire and higher bourgs benefit from the capitalist philosophy of unlimited growth that causes climate change so our stance is that to fix the climate we must remove all Sapphire and higher backers from Crowfall.

  29. I heartily approve of the inspiration behind the power names! Duellist looks to be a lot of fun to play, with plenty of scope for hit and runs (and being able to tunnel under walls adds a very interesting strategic layer).

  30. What is the USSRPG stand on climate change? This is a question of vital importance. The old, polluting methods of manufacturing only promote greater oppression. As we spread the wave of liberation and empowerment to the crafters of CW's we must ensure that industry and the economies become greener. The science on this is settled. Only an enemy of the people would dispute that.

  31. I agree with this. However changes aren't that likely to come soon . We called how op the myrmidon abilities c and 6 were long before it was released and it still is. I mean they still haven't even gotten around to fixing the druid so good luck getting them to do anything about this, Ironically the one thing that I think will reel in that kind of power is how slow this game is. Normally a class that has resource generation like that ends up bursting for a ton if the cooldowns aren't enormous. Animation locking is going to smother this class thankfully with this archetype. My recommendation

  33. As a practitioner of historical swordplay, I love the names of the Inconceivable buffs. They're all from Princess Bride, but Princess Bride got it right. Duelist looks like a huge amount of fun, and I'll definitely be giving the archetype a try. Does taking damage bring the duelist out of stealth? Will an AE (or melee swing for that matter since it also hits an area) hit the stealthed (burrowed) duelist or is he considered below ground and not hittable?

  35. The mini game idea doesn't sound bad actually. Weebles' concern would be solved by simply minimizing any mini game window and sticking with any bonus percentage you get for trained skills and equipment for doing just the automated part of the harvest. This would be actually an element of imersion: the more greedy you are, more focused on the task you'll be and more vulnerable to unfortunate surprises. Who is paying attention to their surroundings isn't going to be the most efficient haverster out there... (there could even be skills to simplify the mini game and/or reduce it's window

  36. I really wonder how Confessors, Knights and possibly Rangers will actually be of any worth if I see this. Maybe not Ranger but well.... Nice design though What my question would be - are the explosive kegs actual objects? Cause it would be hilarious to put up an explosive barricade up with idk... 3 duelists or trapping an enemy within a wall gate with these kegs xD

  43. We only have 2 of our original guild leadership positions from AA and a few select officers. Our guild message is completely different than from what it was before since we were recruiting all players including casual. Our guild offers the Report Card system for members directed by top PvP players spanning across multiple competitive games. This helps our players keep an eye out for exactly what they can improve on as they progress. We also have guides and videos (wip since archetypes are not final) for internal use only.

  44. Ahh yes, we quit AA before that happened because we saw it coming from a mile away. But the main reason was actually because we were sick of their poorly made socks on how they handled their server issues. We don't use hacks or have hackers in the guild and hackers that are caught within our guild will be kicked if they are found out. The 30 pages of random stuff are usually just updates and bumps, if you're going to read anything just read the very first post about the guild. If you plan on applying, do so and you'll be evaluated just like everyone else. You're also entirely correct on no
