    There has been some discussion of adding "wereforms" (like Shadowbane https://morloch.shadowbaneemulator.com/index.php?title=Wereform), as maybe a discipline rune you could add to your character to shapeshift - would require additional art and animations though so wouldn't be possible until after launch.

    Im only asking because Id love to see more non-human/Non-elf races added. I love the mino, elken and stoneborn but Id love to see like a werebear like creature or a wolf like creature as well who are savage looking somewhat like the mino. Id like a beast creature or some such thing to be able to be a druid as well, I wouldn't mind some Orc or some such thing either as it would be cool and could offer some neat passives. I just started but I am in love with this game and I only want it to grow, new races and maybe some more classes after frostweaverwould be cool and I think this game could pull off anything it decides to do. (A warlock, Occultist or beastmaster would be cool.)

    I saw your forum name, and immediately though about wereforms, haha! As VaMei mentioned, ACE has been open about the possibility of future race/class options - it comes down to time and dev resources. Bear race would definitely be cool.

    How long will the campaign be off?

    Campaigns generally run for a few weeks then either immediately start a new one or we have a few days “off” depending on the status of the next patch. Right now we haven’t heard about the next campaign and their rapidly patching the TEST server so it’s likely their trying to iron out the critical bugs in the next patch quickly so they can launch the next campaign with the new patch, we’ll probably hear something about it in the next day or so. Worse case they may launch a few day or one week campaign if the patch stability isn’t improving quick enough. If you’re that brand new you may still be able to get some value out of Godsreach, you can level there and do most of the non-epic+ gathering without much hassle. Though many are suspecting a wipe coming with the next patch so you may wish to be cautious with spending your time til we hear about the next campaign. If you have any questions about the game or how you can spend your time and effort please don’t hesitate to ask, lots of folks are here can help ya out.

    Flavor of the month builds are so common in mmo's, while I don't chase them, there have been times that a previously broken character in a game suddenly becomes mighty. Good times.

    That's your basic 1v1 guideline I assume, because I don't see a healer in that equation! It's definitely more complex than that in CF because there are additional intended layers like group vs group composition, and situational builds (open-world roaming, keep defense, resource control). This is a good thing IMO because the innovators will set a meta, then everyone else copies, then the cycle repeats. It creates some interesting character building RPG aspects that I enjoy, and that I don't get in a BR or Shooter where everyone plays the same character.

    I'm curious, now that I've played some and seen a little of what's being implemented. I bought into Crowfall as it was being presented (at the time mind you) as a sort of more advanced successor to a game called Shadowbane in the early 2000's. That may not have been a fair assessment, but the article stood and no one refuted it. This game, so far, has a vastly improved graphics and interaction with other players, but a skill and tech tree that's so incredibly convoluted it's difficult at best to even know where to put points. I'm curious to know if this level of intricacy is intended. I've always found that simplicity is so much easier to deal with in the long run and overcomplication just leads to endless problems. The basic rule of these types of games was always: Fighter kills Rogue; Rogue kills Mage; Mage kills Fighter. Not particularly precise, but a simple platform to build a more robust interaction without going insane. I realize this does not address crafting in any way, but most of us are here to play with and against others, that is the core of all of these games. I would appreciate any official response that might be available. I realize opinions abound and many would disagree with my rather simplistic approach. Thank you for any responses.

    How the game is made design wise it realy realy easy to add new classes and races into the game so you can expect to see more after release. Here a though for when they add new races they could make it a special item drop recipe so lets say scroll of the werebear this is a hidden recipe for the scroll case that unlocks that crafting recipe with 2 dura on or something so they can craft 2 vessels out of that scroll. these vessels wont be stronger per say than your standard ones but should offer something unique skill/passive line that other races dont have. Campaign in the future could have race or class restriction in aswell in there rulesets if the devs so choose to do so, could be an interesting campaign to try

    Obviously Ble trolling. The point Oneply was clearly getting at, was the fact that most people expect War Stories to be from the current campaign and build. (not an unreasonable assumption) Nikaomatixx sent in an awesome Soldier's Fort scrum to the #WarStories after distributing it out to other guilds, so when being told no other videos were submitted by Pann, the confusion is pretty obvious to a lot of players.     I still do not like that you have to press S in order to stop auto-running. Please revert it to how it was where you could press W or S to stop autorunning.

    Shapeshifting would be cool but I was going more toward like an actual bear/wolf person or maybe an orc (More like warhammer) Or a troll or something. Id love to play as more monsters and have more of their kind added to the player roster. But Im pretty pumped for whatever this game pushes out! The real reason I want it is because the bear people/bearkin could be very Scottish or Irish and have kilts and themed around celtic mythology in appearance which is hardly ever used cosmetically in games or even theme wise for most races. (Id love to be a beast type character who is a druid as well, so I can listen to my bagpipes as I run around casting roots <3) We have a lot of Greek/roman looking stuff (Centaur and mino) and the half giant makes me think Scandinavian or typical viking fantasy appearance. Id love to have some Celtic stuff too

    The new orange text on the map is very hard for colorblind people to see. Some of these are impossible to read based on what the text passes over.

    Nope but a 2 second search on YouTube gave plenty of results in the last week. If you were following along with the drama of the Trial of Cybele I would think the taking of Roethams keep in the winter would be the video to share. Or how about all the epic battles we had at Soldiers Fort. Literally the most action all campaign was there. Idk warstory of the week sounds like what was the best story of the previous week. If you want I’ll start recording the slideshow I see in these battles. Bet it would be exciting to watch 🙄

    When you import or export in the account vault the button shows the number of tokens you have, not the number of tokens you are going to spend. It makes it look like exporting the select items is going to cost 19 export tokens. This behavior is also exhibited when importing.

    @thomasblair That makes sense. It just seems like a weird interaction when it jumps that far from a left or right most target but not from the middle in that short of a range. Maybe the tool tip could be improved? Thanks for the clarification!

    I was play-testing a Warden using Wreckoning to trigger from expiry of Fairy Trap barrier. The trap itself was hitting all 3 target dummies, but when the Wreckoning effect triggered it triggered 3 times per dummy. Design ?

    This is as designed, the range between hops on spirit whip is 5m from the last target hit in the chain, and can't hit previous targets. The dummy on the far left is more than 5m away from the dummy on the far right.

    druid balls are a little higher than usual, druid spark(lmb) animation looks like its coming from behind, no sounds for elemntalist firebox, no sound picking up druid balls, electrogenesis balls shoot out in front of me sometimes,, like im giving birth to them and they pop out balls disappear still and i get this stuck on my screen the satyr knight charge makes them go like 100m same with ranger backflip, and fessor/cleric charge&backlflip, sometimes making them go out of combat and resetting... i miss when the game worked... i feel like since the new character controller so much poorly made socks has been broken

    Today was my first day in Crowfall after my sons bought it for my birthday, I love it so far, its shaping up to be something special. After a few hours of playing it the two things that stuck out to me the most coming from other games that would in theory be easy things to implement would be 1. Give options on how to cast channeled spells, as it is currently you hold the button for the duration of the channel, having the option for that method or 1st press starts channel 2nd press stops channel would be a great addition to give players more choice in control scheme. 2. If i right click an item from my bag to place into my bank it should auto stack when going in bank, ie, 80 gold in bank, right clicking the 20 gold in back should have 1 stack of 100 gold in bank, not 1 stack of 80 and 1 stack of 20. 3. The menus staying open individually was very confusing as a new player, I opened my inventory early, then crafted some meat, then eventually my talents and it took random trial and error to understand all of them stay open based on their own open/close rather than closing menus closing ALL the menus and then individual buttons reopening them, maybe there is already an option to adjust this and i just havent found it yet? EDIT: Thought on this last night, MANY people enjoy skirmish combat beyond just large seiges, on the flip side several players dont enjoy gathering/crafting. You could kill 2 birds with 1 stone by having a system where a mine, lumbermill, quarry ect exists on map and can be capped by smaller teams of 1-5, after being capped it starts a caravan towards a fort that your faction owns (yes i took this idea from GW2) if you successfully escort the caravan to the fort, it becomes lootable by the players that escorted it and provides an amount of ore, rock, wood ect that is roughly equivalent to the amount a gatherer would have gathered in a similar amount of time. If another faction kills all the escorts before it arrives at fort, that faction could then loot it for the resources for themselves. This system would provide people who dont enjoy gathering a means to pvp for mats, and it would provide smaller groups pvp content to compete in from both escorting or setting up road blocks in other factions maps.

    It is not meant to be simplified down to 1v1s... or even 2v2s although hunting pairs in low pop times will be more successful than rogues out alone. The game is designed entirely around group synergy just like Shadowbane… Shadpwbane builds were quite complicated and varied but the politics made the game. Most times you will need a group if not a few groups to do the main activities after ginding up to par.

    Hi folks, my first wipe coming up and I saw the message about putting stuff in my spirit bank. I don't have much gold, or even decent gear at this point, so is there something I should focus on the next few days to help when we start up again? I don't know many tricks yet, but a few like seige lumber for gold, or XP seems like a decent idea. Any thoughts are appreciated

    7/16/18 Patch Notes Campaigns: Add monster camps to the map, with a pop-up that gives basic "consider" information. Eternal Kingdoms: Adjusted building placement to use screen axis. Class Powers: Duelist: Adjusted duelist basic attacks to fix some hitching issues. Ranger: Fixes for Ranger trap spawning underground and applying damage multiple times. Racial Powers: Minotaur: Updated description to Bull Rush to indicate it no longer drags targets. Updated bull rush icon, removing yellow border. Discipline Powers: Fixed bard song of speed to not create feet fx indefinitely. General Bug Fixes: Fixed the campaign restrictions on the world info panel. Fixed issue with hair color mask for female Half Elf hairstyle #4 (#3 in the avatar). Now the player should get a prompt telling them to open their talent tree when they have too many talent points, know to put their stuff in a spirit bank when a campaign is ending, and know to choose another skill tree when they've maxed out one. Vendor interactions are now an instant interact instead of a hold. Fix missing hellcat acid spit projectile. Updated gatehouse to fix flickering issue. Fixed the right-click to transfer items into the sacrifice window. Should feel more responsive. Reduced the interaction radius/distance for plants so it feels a little tighter than it does right now.

    Parcel Questions & house Q

    Well honestly Im a pve player... mostly a farmer/crops/housing nerd. Love decorating property, and i like the idea of how you can arrange the parcels and move them if your needs change. But houses currently seem useless if you cant decorate em. But dont let the PVE fool ya, I used to rock out Ultima Online back in the day(1998+) So im all good on risk vs reward for gathering and stuff. I dont mind the risk of losing gear, but my main concentration is passive stuff.

    I like this idea. Doing away with the extra human race and one of the Elf races to bring in literally any of the races OP suggests would be really cool.

    Three QoL changes I would recommend

    These are three on a long list of thousands of needed QoL changes. I agree that they are important, but these guys cannot even handle the very basic structure of the changes they are implementing. More and more mounting breaking interactions with each new patch and broken ones getting ignored. The best hope is that some day they'll work through all these issues and get to the QoL stuff. Who knows.
