    Gods Reach and Hindering PvP

    Currently GR is taking to much of peoples time. To many people are staying on GR and farming materials safely. I would propose that GR is strictly limited to Common quality materials. Remove Kings/Captains and Motherloads from Gods Reach as well. And remove the ability for war tribes on the Gods Reach server to drop anything higher than common. The point is to let it be a introduction to the game, not a place for people to get swole. Everyone should be being pushed onto the Campaign worlds and be on the campaign worlds to stay. Side note. Remove the ability to bank where ever you are on the Campaign. Only inside Forts, Keeps and the Temple.

    Mostly Counting PvE deaths in a PvP caculation is just... well -not- optimal imo. In fact it's really annoying. If you then also add to the equation that not every player kill counts and that melee vs ranged vs healers is a very different scenario there is too larger of an imbalance to the score. The top scoring across the board are : Ranged… The Lacking : Healers The wrecked : Melee.

    For a single player with a single account using a single vessel, the embargo system isn't bad. Once you've done it once, it's pretty simple to work with. The logistics of optimizing exports for a guild with many players, each with multiple vessels is a pain. Consolidating items of types of materials into stacks on various players and vessels, and then running through rounds of must, should, could & won't export is a big pain that I will not be looking forward to repeating at the end of the next campaign. Shorter campaigns will only magnify the pain. A guild vault would make the consolidation portion easier, render many of the alt vessels unnecessary from the start, and give a better view of what high value exports the guild needs to give priority to. Getting guild support into the game would be a massive QoL improvement. With the next major goal being Dregs, it seems to me that it would be a near term priority.

    I hope in dregs alliances cannot win, only a guild can win. Creates a condition that at some point they have to turn on each other. That can be a deterrent to megazergs

    I love the option that you can decide if you want movement to close your inventory or not. But the fact that I can't move the map around or interact with it while auto running feels bad. So my choice is either have inventory close when moving but can't interact with the map while moving. Or be able to interact with the map while auto running but it won't close my inventory when moving. I would like if these were separate settings so I can have map be intractable while auto moving and have the inventory close when moving.

    The Gods Reach map is still the same, and we have another level 20 locked campaign Rank 8 resources being available in Gods Reach is antithetical to the purpose of Gods Reach. Someone shouldn't be able to safely farm quality materials in Gods Reach. Crafted vessels shouldn't be affected by the level 20 limitation. It is a bad experience to have to export a vessel in the middle of a campaign to then level that vessel in Gods Reach extremely safely and mostly without your guild. This is exasperated by higher quality mobs. I'm not a new player and I don't want to hang out on Newbie Island every time I progress my vessel. The crafted vessel limitation wouldn't be so bad if it didn't eat one of my precious exports.

    As much as I don't want to buff Galvia he's right. I literally just walked away from him and took no damage. Neck breaker is basically just a self stun now in small scale PvP.

    Also hugely not a fan of the 3m range. It's hard enough staying connected with ranged the way you guys have infinite self cleanse somehow worked into the game and near chainable movement/escape abilities. 3m felt like I had to pretty much be right next to them. It was also very easy to wiggle out of pretty much 100% melee dmg while playing my druid healer. No need to heal self, just alternate the A and D keys and no melee can touch me.

    Many folks don't consider anything in a game to have relevance to RL. I played wildstar from the start with a guy that could be described as 'holier then thou' in real life, but on the game, we actively manipulated the credd market to the point, well, anyways, its just a fantasy game.

    After trying it out all Arkon, the 3m melee range feels REALLY awful. If someone is in survival tray they can walk away from a champion after only one basic attack from point blank range and out of attack range. Not to mention, all of the animations and models reach further than the actual attack range - this is especially amplified on champions and Half-Giants. Being able to so easily evade without using movement abilities is quite bad - your damage takes a huge dip if the attacker simply walks away from you. I believe melee definitely needed the nerf they got, and maybe if interp gets reduced via better servers this problem will be reduced, but I feel that 4m or 5m range is likely this games sweet spot. Considering many of the point blank AOE abilities hit that far today, it makes sense that basic attacks should reach further as well. I've also noticed issues with targeting small races (like guinea) when they are right beside you when playing larger races. It's cool that the rats can dance between my centaur legs but that's probably not a good game mechanic.

    there is still a rank 5 zone in gods reach. there is still a rank 6-8 zone in gods reach. BTW, if people can farm in complete saftly in gods reach, why not allow people to farm R8 in thier EK?

    When it comes down it people are going to do anything to win so I’d get ready for that. If you can’t win, ensuring your enemy loses more than you is a close second. This isn’t my first rodeo in a PvP mmo (played Sb for most of it and then years on the emu’s) and when given the opportunity to win most people are gonna leap at it; regardless of honor, morale, ethics. People are going to Zerg, exploit, cheat, betray, lie, abuse and or harass whoever they have to to win. It’s going to be glorious to watch.

    Motherlode Question

    Hi, Master necromancer here with a few tips about minerals and necromancy: You'll need cinnabar and halite to make ambrosia to restore body parts. Ambrosia is a non-rarity commodity so you can do this without any training as long as you have an alchamy table handy. You'll need 6 per vessel at minimum but the recipie only makes 5. Low rank motherlodes can often be found in clusters, so always be on the lookout for dense clumps of marble or granite motherlodes to fuel your unending need for low tier cinnabar and halite. The philosopher's stone is essentially a "wildcard" body part. While each race must be constructed from specific parts which determine their overall base stats before experimentation, as well as what you're able to experiment on, a philosopher's stone is crafted by a skilled alchemist. If you're serious about necromancy, find someone that's serious about alchemy because you guys are gonna be best friends. These are crafted from between 2 and 4 philosopher's solutions and those solutions can add any of the base stats in to the stone, which allows you to have a custom body part in addition to the race's default characteristics. You could bump up 4 targeted stats a bit, spike one stat, or anything in between depending on what resources you have available and what you want to do. Philosopher's stones are responsible for the majority of the customization of a vessel. Make sure you keep the high tier stone alongside the high tier minerals as your alchemist will need both to make high tier philosopher's stones. Also note that optional components may or may not be useful to your customer. As you require goggles to add these to body parts, and those goggles decay per crafting operation you're potentially damaging your goggles up to six time for every vessel you create. Make sure that your customer actually needs stats in all of those slots as often you'll find one or two body parts that you can skip without any remarkable negative effects on the build. Also note that optional body parts are non rarity effecting items ,and that their bonuses can not be experimented upon. You will always get the exact bonus shown on the body part, and it will not increase the difficulty or any other stat of the crafting operation. You can use a legendary femur on a green leg without it being harder or more expensive to craft aside from the durability hit to your goggles, or use a green hand on a legendary arm without fear of downranking the arm. This is NOT the case for philosopher's stones however. Philosopher's stones behave like any other body part and will modify the assembly outcome difficulty and item rarity accordingly. Remember this before you consider using a green philo stone and screw up your legendary vessel.

    Buenas, creo que es la primera vez que escribo en este canal , llevo tiempo en esta hermandad y creo que hablo por todos cuando te doy las gracias por tus comentarios pero sobretodo por estar con nosotros y compartir las aventuras y desventuras de este juego. He disfrutado compartiendo lo que conozco contigo y tambien aprendiendo de tus aportaciones. Como has indicado es una pre-alfa y tiene sus días buenos, donde todo sale rodado y sus días malos donde parece que se han juntado las constelaciones para que nada funcione como debería, en esos días la compañía de las personas es importante porque echando unas risas todo se ve de otro color.     Hello, I was recently leveling up a druid and discovered that occasionally my primary attack would do no damage and be treated as a miss. Mana would be expended but no damage would be done. I had my crosshairs aligned on the target and held down the attack, but it was treated as though I was shooting at the air. Additionally if you tap the primary fire the druid character will perform the animation for attack, mana will be expended, and no damage will be inflicted.

    You are right Kraahk constructive criticism would be more usefull. I'd love to upload some screenshots, however this feature is not built into the forums directly and relies on 3rd party urls. I have tried a few but have given up because the link they produce is not accepted. Another pet peeve... But to give written constructive criticism the shaders are broken, anti aliasing doesn't really work on low settings(I have not tested max settings) so when you add those problems to the fact that the layout and composition is poor then end result is not pretty. That being said, even if the technical part of the design was dialed in 100% the composition is very amateur and valuable poly count is being wasted. We need stairs and they add to the look but sometimes less is more!

    There are already bots in game, I suppose the *expert* that has been playing since '97 already knows this though? The captcha system, is the only system I have seen work. While I am 100% against PvP loot being 1 click, for PvE it does not matter at all in this game as you are in a safe zone for it. But yeah, the bots are already there, the click to loot system is already by-passed.

    If they want to foster PvP I think the main thing they can do is get rid of Uncommon + materials and gear on the Gods Reach server and make it so it caps at level 20. After level 20 you should be pushed onto the Campaign worlds. Get level 30 on the actual Campaign world. Make people harvest on the campaign world. Area outside the Temple should only allow green drops. Nothing more than that.

    It is a rare day when I disagree with everything in a post. I disagree with everything in this post. Here is a bulleted list of why. I still love you mythx. Apex Legends was a fluke and its numbers have consistently tanked after the stealth-launch hype subsided, not to mention it has the financial backing of EA so you're comparing apples and oranges. In the scope of how much money was spent to develop it apex legends is doing terrible. The whole point of funding crowfall this way is so they don't have to compromise for publishers and create trammel-like half measures that don't fit the game. The core functionality of the combat system and crafting systems are fine. Combat is missing balance fine tuning (which we've already been told is on the powers team's hit list in 9000 years after frostweaver releases) and crafting is missing factories and needs to drop the pointless slot unlocks. Neither of these things needs a major overhaul, they need the same minor tweaks one would expect from a project at this stage of development. Games of this scale and length are not good fits for the esports market. Stop trying to make everything esports. There are very few games that are actually good esports. Most games that try to lean in to esports without a community forming naturally waste tons of money for PR and hype that never materializes, and shortchange their communities in the process by focusing on pointless nonsense. Necromancy is one of the most unique and interesting systems in crowfall, and even with necromancy in play Crowfall's character development systems are substantially less complicated than shadowbane's. If anything Crowfall's character development systems could stand to be more complicated, not less. Necromancy is one of the few things in the current state of the game that is actually really well executed and doesn't feel like its missing key components or balance. We need more things like necromancy, not less. We don't need another copy/paste feature and they already have a design for combat pets on the table as it was a kickstarter stretch goal. Personally I think combat pets in a PvP game are a terrible idea but it was on the stretch goals so its gonna happen eventually whether I like it or not. We don't need some kind of bribery to convince people to play the game. GW2 tried that, cash prizes without changes to the underlying core mechanisms that were actually responsible for low involvement numbers. It actually damaged the game's reputation as pros literally bragged about how winning was essentially free money due to lack of competition and broken PvP balance. Arenanet lost a ton of money trying to build a hype train that never materialized that they could have spent building a more hype-worthy game. And that was a post-release game after an expansion. This is not even a beta product. Unless you're valve or Blizzard and have money to burn, leave esports organizing to the professionals and spend your money actually building the damn game. You can aggressively market it when its finished enough to be worth marketing.

    5.100 LIVE Feedback for 8/9/2019

    Did some 1v1's with some of the Winterblades guys to see how bad the 3m melee is. It's pretty bad. With lag and any amount of desync it makes hitting someone running away very difficult. I've got video footage of my crosshair saying 3m yet still whiffing attacks on players running away from me. In any sort of kiting situation it's just frustrating and I've got fairly decent ping living in Virginia.

    New siege schedules for forts and keeps feel much better to play with; we get some breaks from "must-log-in-for-keeps-tonight" and don't feel pressured to stick around at all hours in fear that we might get backcapped as soon as we close the client... Having less outposts that are faster to cap is also appreciated, and though the fort capping seems a little too fast we might just need to catch up a bit with the new meta! Double siege on Saturday was also a nice touch.

    Before this patch my FPS in the temple was about 15 and really stiff and laggy. Now when I move at the temple it stays higher than 35, witch is very nice. However when I am in a different training world, it drops to 10 and cant get any higher than that.

    The divine light pulling away is smart but its also the pip generator. Diving in and firing it off to get max pips and see how the flow goes from there is the ideal way. Blowing a holy warrior right off the bat is the wrong way thats for sure. I"ve always reserved it as a backup heal or if the fight flow isnt anything crazy to cap someone off and rebuild it for a bigger push. Also I did email support about the 0 pip regeneration. I've waited 5 minutes and nothing comes back in previous version we would always get the first pip so either that was a ninja fix or something broke along the way without anyone noticing. They said they would investigate and get back to me so hopefully we'll have a proper answer sooner than later. Not getting that first pip back actually screws with Templars pretty badly and couldnt figure out why something felt off at first and this is the reason.

    So Crowfall has become Minecraft now? Actually correction I think Minecraft has more combat then the current CW. With gods reach available to farm to your hearts desire with 0 consequences you are only encouraging people to do whatever they can to avoid conflict. All this talk about making a crowfall a PvP focused game but the majority of the population is avoiding PvP like its the plague. Can we maybe limit imports to like 5? Maybe shut down GR? there needs to be some sort of balancing done or your CW's will never succeed.

    Lo primero presentarme, soy Monitron un reciente jugador de Corwfall, llevo máximo un par de semanas jugando y la verdad que es un juego muy entretenido y extenso, pero no habría decidido cogerme el juego si no fuese porque esta RedReapers y su gente jugando. Entre en su discord a conocerlos, me presentaron el juego, no me mintieron en nada, me dejaron claro que es una prealpha y lo que hay ahora mismo, nada más empezar me explicaron todo y me ayudaron en lo que pudieron, y la verdad que si no llega a ser por ellos habría dejado de jugar porque es imposible avanzar solo, lo tienen todo realmente bien planeado y saben como avanzar y organizarse para progresar y ser competitivos. En resumen vengo a dar las gracias a la gente de RedReapers por su ayuda y a que la gente sepa que ayudan y tienen intención de progresar y continuar con el juego. Un saludo.

    +1 vote for having a baseline then giving Leadership bonuses to group size. Makes the leader role more appreciable.
