In the battle for Impius Keep during the Trial of Arkon, the underdogs of the Chaos faction bravely attempt to turn the tide in their favor.     5.100 LIVE Feedback for 8/16/19

    Connoisseur only provides 5% more harvest chance for 8 seconds, and you only roll that 5% chance on the 75%, 50%, and 25% breaks of a motherlode, so make sure it is up if you want to feel any difference. It is pretty minor, and I prefer to run Villien and just do more motherlodes with the same tools. On the drop rate, I've noticed that gems actually drop MORE these days than previously. Here's a screenshot of the haul from 1 pot last campaign in Darilu: This doesn't include the 1k dust and 10 embers we found, a lot of the souls and the body parts we got from the zombies. We run 2 foreman, 1 main hitter, and 2 mob clearers in our group and exclusively motherlode in mines when we're looking for gems. You have to run the potion, you need to use a gemfind pick, you have to clear quickly, and you need to make sure that the person running the potion with the best gem find chance snapshots the node (deals the most damage) in the first 25% of the node.

    Vessel System

    To start out with, play whatever you want. Templars are very solo friendly once you get the Divine Light ability, but you can solo with any class. Vessels are crafted bodies. When you created your templar, you were automatically given a common quality body. Necromancers can craft higher quality bodies (vessels). Vessels are crafted for a specific race, but you can make that vessel any class that race allows. To do so, you have to put the vessel into your vault, then you create a new character of that race. When you select the race, you will see the vessel appear beneath the race name. You select the vessel, then select your class and create the character as normal. It's possible that we will be able to sacrifice existing vessels (ones we are actively using) to get a leg up on leveling a new vessel. I think they talked about it in the last Q&A and liked the idea, but I have no idea if that's something that will make it in before launch.

    ya. Can reward capping forts, pvp, gathering, farming, bosses so forth with import rewards. Force people to go out and do things in the world to gain imports.

    4 armor slots 2 ranged weapons 2 melee weapons 3 jewels +1 utility slot for badge/mount or w/e else. -------- Looks like a full set of gear. If you got more stuff you just HAVE to Have, drop an armor offpiece and remake it in CW. Adapt and Overcome, not Immediately Go Cry on the Forums.

    12 Exports are far too Low

    If players think of constraints as challenges within the game instead of things to throw up their hands and be helpless about, solutions can be found quickly: First Concept folks need to start thinking in is resource density and ember count. With these in mind, clear best things to leave behind are armor. A stack of 200 ore is way more resource dense then a glove off piece. So for our hypothetical ranger/blacksmith he imports: 3 crafting Jewel, 3 combat Jewel, 2 Runic weapons (bow/quiver for Archer or shortswords for brigand), 2 badges (crafter and combat), 1 stack of blue iron, 1 stack of blue silver. In CW he farms 48 blue leather and 40 stone and 40 ore for BS seals (actually only need 2-3 pieces of crafting armor at max train, but we assume worst case and make 4) and 30 blue silver. The ore imported, plus the above is enough to make a BS set and a combat set of iron/silver/silver combo (the BS helm would be all iron/iron/iron because we don't care about crafters combat stats). The only remaining farming to get back to full equipment is the rangers off-spec melee weapons, which are not Runic and therefore simply ~100 ore and 6 leather. For reference I farmed this with a white hammer and a blue reaping necklace in 40 minutes as first farming of the new CW: Probably could be back to full equiped crafter and ranger in 1.5-2hrs. (the CW R10 node density is nuts). The current maps rain resources. You will likely get the embers for combat character's new mount by time farming is complete. 2 hours is not a lot of farming to play out a 3 week CW. This all assumes the hypothetical crafter/ranger is an island, has 0 support from his guild... Of course this becomes even faster if you have guildmates and the clerics, champions, knights, etc. that have 1-2 spare imports wisely and carefully spend them to bring in materials. ------------- P.S. the complaints about it taking hours to export everything are (1) why we need guild banks extremely badly and (2) amusing in that the alternative is those materials just get deleted/lost forever. It took us several hours to compile and optimize exports as well.

    I see my mistake on connoisseur now. Thanks. Thought it only applied to the last hit. I usually run villien but wanted to try out something different. Thanks for the gem advice too. More efficient use of the pots then what we’ve been doing.

    You should change forts into mini seiges. Have cheap seige equipment that is used on wooden walls and make the immune to weapon attacks.

    Vessel System

    Hey! I'm new to the game and I'm trying to understand the Vessel System a little better. I've created my first character and in all tutorials/guides that I've found, everyone says the first character you create it's not gonna be your main character and I'm trying to understand it. I checked a lot of guides and they all say the best class to start and understand the game is Templar. So I created one. But I'm pretty sure of which class I want my main to be. It has nothing to do with Templars. Can I sacrifice my Templar to have better stats for an Assassin for instance? I've tried to find a few in-depth guides for Vessel System and I didn't find any. If you guys have any great guides for that I'd appreciate! Thanks for your help! 😊

    Anyone else noticing gem drops are really low past couple of campaigns? also does connoisseur even work? Without writing down what I get from each node it sure feels like there is no difference.

    Has to do with the animation rig/skeleton I believe. Certain races share certain animation rigs. Then they animated certain rigs for certain class abilities. So I'm guessing they never did druid animations for whichever rig the Elken has and it would be a lot of work to do so. This goes for the war tribes also. You'll notice the Embarri are obviously centaurs and get all the same classes that centaurs do. Satyrs are Elken. That's why you have knights, templars, clerics, confessors and rangers. Uguru are Minotaurs so there's myrm's, champions, and rangers. Arachoix are Fae which are assassins and druids. The Fae Knight was recently added so maybe we will see some Arachoix knights soon? Whenever the frostweaver comes out I imagine we will get an Arachoix frostweaver also.

    Completely agree, back in the good Darkfall days you would have shaking hands and a high heart beat while looting. Missclicking all the time.. Wondering if more enemies will show up to come hunt for you. Looting shouldn't be done in one click.

    Gods Reach and Hindering PvP

    Currently GR is taking to much of peoples time. To many people are staying on GR and farming materials safely. I would propose that GR is strictly limited to Common quality materials. Remove Kings/Captains and Motherloads from Gods Reach as well. And remove the ability for war tribes on the Gods Reach server to drop anything higher than common. The point is to let it be a introduction to the game, not a place for people to get swole. Everyone should be being pushed onto the Campaign worlds and be on the campaign worlds to stay. Side note. Remove the ability to bank where ever you are on the Campaign. Only inside Forts, Keeps and the Temple.

    Confessors and Druids have been able to do it since December(well technically since SP 3 years ago). It just isn't actually isn't a beneficial thing since you have to be right up at the wall and if you're able to hold that position at the wall, you're probably overwhelmingly favored to win as it is. Siege weapons are faster and are significantly safer to use. I suppose you could try to sneak in the back side of a keep or something with it. It's been reported and it would be great for it to get changed. It is mostly just a weird quirk that doesn't require much strategic adjustment though. We believe it is an old holdover from when the walls has a magic barrier and physical health. Right now we only go through that magic barrier and then the walls explode. Confessors and Druids were always able to damage this magic barrier going back to SP.

    I think lowering GR to r5 and including 6-8 in the campaign and then upping imports seems to be a more obvious solution, although it is technically not there yet...

    I'm playing assasin. The poison on a mob if it's dead now produces a sound as if I am still hitting it with melee. Could record it tomorrow if it's not clear what I am saying, let me know.

    There are already bots in game, I suppose the *expert* that has been playing since '97 already knows this though? The captcha system, is the only system I have seen work. While I am 100% against PvP loot being 1 click, for PvE it does not matter at all in this game as you are in a safe zone for it. But yeah, the bots are already there, the click to loot system is already by-passed.

    This is my first playtest. I chose balance because of the description lol. They'll get to it at some point. Faction balance will be an issue for another day. It's not a terribly difficult problem to solve.

    To play more than a cleric? To use any of the crafting gear we've had for less than a few weeks? To not remake gear we already have? Mindless farming doesn't have any appeal to many people. How is it hard to understand people want to fight and not whack rocks? This was a terrible decision after a wipe and short campaign, it negates almost all progress made for small to medium guilds. Not only that, it does the exact opposite of leveling the playing field. Larger guilds with more dedicated crafters and accounts are far less impacted. This locks players in to a single character unless they want to recraft everything literally just made. The vault is going to end up just being copies of stuff you can never use...
