  1. Simply put, If I'm low on Essence I'm trying to set up a bomb, and if I'm high on Essence I'm trying to find someone to dump it into, either by Sparking (LMB) or by throwing out CC and debuffs. There's no real "rotation" per se, you just have to get a feel for the pacing of CF fights and what kind of things need to be done and when. I don't know what Race/Discs you chose so I can't speak for how those will fit into your "rotation", but in general you wanna use Bark Skin on CD, Root*/Call Storm people who are either causing your team trouble or trying to escape from damage, and use Faerie Fire/

So, tell me about sieges ...

Pitfighters are a class dmg hat doesn’t require a single discipline to play their role. For that reason they usually take some sort of utility that is complementary to their group. A pitfighter and a cleric aren’t really going to kill anything so you might want to look for some dps to add to your group. Short of that, increased survivability through something like elementalist or runecaster might be a good option. Plaguelord possibly for your utility, lots of options here. Could even go for more mobility in escape artist or juggernaut.

  3. Until we get a balance pass during 5.110 Siege Engineer as a dedicated part of keep groups is not worth it. Their abilities simply don't get good value with how quickly siege equipment is destroyed right now. Depends on how you want to specialize. Your primary role as a pit fighter is initiation and front line as part of a hold or a push and you're able to push deeper than most with your survivability. Your disciplines should specialize the role further. You aren't meant to DPS as a tank spec so you should avoid damage oriented disciplines unless it is a very specific fit to maximi

Siege Engineer is uncommon on the battlefield. It is needed to craft siege engines, but that is usually the work of crafting alts. Once crafted, the engines are so fragile, and given such high target priority, that dedicating a player to shield and repair them is not considered worth loosing a combat disc. Your mileage may vary, but that's the accepted meta.

  5. "complex character system" is always going to be a lie. It's not so complex that a meta won't be developed immediately with optimal loadouts for each position on the battle field. All of the "complexity" will be destroyed by spreadsheets the moment the player base shows up.

They should all be good. Crowfall has a very complex character system. No way they haven't just made another cookie cutter model.

  7. Its a main reason why I avoid games with p2w cash shops. Once I start throwing my wallet at a game I also lose the desire to keep playing. Its almost like a pay to quit mechanic. 😁

A common vessel with good tribes gear and appropriate disciplines can contribute to a siege fight if played well. You won't be laying waste to the enemy and they won't run in fear at the sound of your name, but in a 50v50 fight having one more healer or tank on the field is never a bad thing. Even a bad player is at least a bullet catcher and makes your force appear more formidable... So long as the healers know not to let him become a healing sponge. If we're talking about arranged 10v10s for bragging rights then yeah, gear before you show up.

  9. I'll be more than happy to craft ya a vessel or two for a modest fee of Chaos Embers depending on how good you want the vessel to be and save ya the trouble of mineral harvesting (just one ember if you want a basic blue with no additives). You most certainly should be considering joining a guild, though. New and returning players are always welcome on the underdog faction of Order and Eldritch is always looking for more peeps. As for siege strategies themselves, if you're on your own you're going to want to try and keep a close eye on where the bulk of the defenders or attackers are and

Bodies and gear are a product of being in a guild. Your only option to truly experience sieges is to join one of the guilds who regularly participate in sieges. They are all capable of helping you get the gear/vessel/game knowledge you need to do siege.

  11. What Fryyka said. We have plenty of body parts and we have the training. Ambrosia is one of the more annoying things to get but some people have some or have bought some prior so I can do the assembly easily enough for those who don't have the training or body parts to do so.

  12. Over the course of the last 2 trials i have almost exclusively played stormcaller with my recent stints on balance during siege as a titan being the only exception and having been the only stormcaller i had ever seen before this campaign i consider myself the one with the most experience on the current iteration of stormcaller and the most experienced with it in sieges, fort fights, and open world small scale and large scale. After playing stormcaller for these 2 campaigns these are my thoughts on it and what can be done to fix things that either dont work the way they should or dont make sens
