  2. The Crafting Combinations sheet has now been fully updated for 6.1. Most of my changes on this were cleaning up either old things I had marked as deprecated and changing some effect text to more accurately reflect the text in game. I also marked some cooking changes as they've been removing some of the recipes. Those I haven't fully removed but have marked as red because some of them have been reappearing after disappearing in a patch. I'm not certain what changes on that are intentional.

After playing heavily playing the ranger class i thought i would offer suggestion to how i would alter the ranger talent tree to make the class much more enjoyable to play, the new talent layout i think will offer the benefit or being able to provide classes a much more diverse play style between each archtype while being able to add more skill points on the tree to add more choice you have to make. Note exploration disc talents wernt included since i feel they should be automatic since there free talents anyway. Dont get caught up too much on balance cause all classes would have to have som

  5. The somewhat original crafting combinations sheet presented by the Winterblades guild. I have partially updated the sheet for 6.400. On this update, I have added a tab that has the stat values as the base components in these combinations are now static values.   6. I'd like to propose a limitation factor on stealth. Not a complete nerf, but perhaps tie it to stamina or something, so it's not in perpetuity. It is highly possible that once this game launches, without a limitation factor on stealth, it could become 'Stealthfall' or something. Especially in the early days/weeks/months after launch as I assume people will gravitate toward invisibility. I actually think Warhammer Online/Return of Reckoning did the stealth limitations accurately. This was the result of Marc Jacob's feeling that perma-stealth in DAOC was too game breaking, and he vowe

  10. Classic player behaviour... It is a shame a huge amount of time and resources are always spent on making sure players wont ruin other players experience. You would expect having a "fair" fight or the likes would be what they want to do. Or feel the accomplishment beating someone in a straight fight. Or enjoy the challenge. Nope. If the Devs dont make sure to force players to 'play nice' Multiplayer games would be unplayable. (Talking about games in general)

I just made a suggestion in regards to remaking the archer talent tree and it has something similar to a new promotion class where the keystone for archer line split into 2, one for magic quivers and the other for physical ones. Later down the line they can add more talent points and expand further on archtypes beyond the current ones like this. is the suggestion

    It's horribly clunky trying to use abilities when the tray swap is on the GCD. With skills being stuck on range vs melee bar for ranger when you're a brigand.

  17. TBH I'm holding all balance suggesting until 6.2 and its "cataclysm in the meta" rework of the disc and talent systems. If it is as wide reaching as JTodd seems to think it is, every combat balance thread from now until then is completely irrelevant anyway as the entire system is currently being reworked, seemingly from its very basic fundamental concerning who has access to what skills, weapons, and discs.

    I'd also like to note the taxation mechanism in late shadowbane. R8 cities had a pretty direct incentive to never siege their subordinate cities as it was both more profitable and honestly just plain more fun to nail them for taxes and assert dominance with your tax collector. I recall a certain guild member having a grand old time mercilessly taxing a specific guild because that guild had no chance in hell of fighting a successful siege against our r8. They still had a tree, trainers, and a slew of other city services, still had a home, and in a roundabout way still sort of ben

    The way I'm reading this, alliances aren't scoring entities. Of the 5 guilds in your alliance, only one of those guilds can actually win a position on a given card, or a position on a given scoreboard. Subbing is only going to benefit your score and the resulting rewards if you can all first agree on who is going to win the game, and who is a pet who gets less. This is why they can be made or broken at any time. At best the winning alliance will comprise guilds in 1st to 5th place, but only one of those guilds is in first.   20. The game was never intended to be a drop in/drop out call of duty-esque zero commitment game. Leveling does two fold: It makes you take some kind of ownership of your character by forcing you to invest time into it. It gets people out in the world doing things besides beating on doors and blobbing around the map. It's another thing that gets people (hopefully) out in the campaign world doing things, making the campaign feel more like a living breathing world / mmorpg and less like an instanced battleground.

  22. This. Its only function is to apply a cost to rolling new characters so people don't constantly insta-roll FOTM builds once they have nice stacks of necromancy supplies and runes. Its a speedbump to prevent rampant alt-itis the same way mob respawn timers are a speedbump to prevent instantly stacking up huge piles of mob loot.

  26. I'd agree on the scale and players tendancy to overhype dev statements. But in this case J.Todd used fairly strong language to describe it so I'm not sure if its a minor change. I am fairly happy with the systems as is except that disciplines need a balance pass. But if they improve the systems overall that would be even better.

  28. Yeah, I got a anti-Stealth Warden talent build that I use when solo (them damn rats) or when my party lacks any anti-stealth. I'd rather not and I think my other party build is better but if I need it I got it covered. That is to me the real beauty of the Vessel system. I can with minimal effort load a different build to fit the situation. Different talents, different discs. Heck, different class or race even. If you dont have at least a few characters to different situations you are doing it wrong.

  29. There is a limitation factor on stealth. Its called the warden promotion, every elken, molehunter, and to a lesser degree every ranger that takes flare arrow from the talent tree. Maybe you want to join the party and pick up a bit of stealth for yourself? That's assassins, duelists, and brigands (permanent class stealth with mechanics built around its limitations and strengths) every guinecian (mobile stamina consuming stealth), every wood elf, and any template that has access to illusionist (Stationary stamina consuming stealth) Stealth counters do not exist to counter "just one rac

  31. The thing with Lvling is that it is built in with the concept that it should be skipped. It is either pay up with items or waste time lvling it. Where actually lvling it is incredibly boring. At the end of the day lvling is basically a resource sink.

  33. Right now, larger guilds are able to own keeps, maintain their identity, and make agreements with other guilds to avoid fighting each other/and assist in defending keeps. What options do smaller guilds have to participate in end-game content like keep sieges and city building activities? Merging into a large zerg is not a welcome choice for many tight-knit communities, so having the option to join an alliance is good imo. The zerg escalation problem needs to be handled in other ways like map design, siege schedules, combat mechanics, scoring, win conditions, rewards.

If guilds/alliances had to choose which place they were going to defend, rather than being able to show up to each siege scenario one after another - it could force even large alliances to potentially make some hard decisions. Those choices, coupled with deception could allow a smaller alliance to grab a keep or something. Besides all that there is certainly plenty of hypocrisy and delusion going around about this topic. Hypocrisy by some groups who malign the idea of alliances while also allying other guilds at the same time. And delusion with respect to the size and reach of some of the

    The current design of Crowfall is a large guild verse guild competitive game. There are no mechanisms for small guilds or solo players to be important. Crafting is the easiest example: No world or map vendors so a solo player or small guild has no where to easily sell their wares or resources. High level crafting requires hard to get resources and does not also require easy to get resources thereby removing a role small guilds and solos can play in adding to the crafting process.
