Without the need to farm again to replace anything we use I quite literally have no reason to log. And the PvP on Infected sucks. I imagine if we had HD I would spend all my time there currently.

  4. If people wouldn't like to level ... there would be no levels. As simple as that. Levels were no part of the initial concept. They only became part of what we got now, because during testing, throughout the years, the masses indicated (and heavily so) they were not happy without a simple way to feel like progressing. The solution at that time was to apply levels, but without having as grave consequences as in your usual MMO. And, well, so, here we are. That's the balancing act. Will it change? Maybe. Maybe not. (I mean, we got rid of the passive skilling, which nearly no

  5. If there is no leveling, players won't do the NPE. Leveling is a chore, but it's a very small one that can be mitigated via the sacrifice system. In the grand scheme of things, the time we spend leveling will be insignificant. If all you want to do is immediately jump into PvP, you will be able to do that via Hunger Dome. For the rest of the game, do what Krakken suggested and save your sacrifice items. In Dregs, epic and legendary sacrifice items drop often.

  6. I have "leveled" at least 7 characters since the reset, and only 2 of them were done manually. The mechanic has value in teaching new players how to play the game. The CF model of combat leveling is so FAST compared to other MMO's and practically doesn't exist if you play other parts of the game. Play your other characters, hold on the sacrifice items that war tribes drop, and instant level yourself with the sacrifice mechanic. Once you have a race/class combo leveled, you can with VIP just respec into whatever idea for a build takes your fancy. By the time you know what your

  9. Top 5 likes and why (be brief please ) about 6.500 I like the new leaderboard hotkey. Much more convenient than opening the map, though exiting cursor mode should also close the leaderboard Bleeds stacking is nice Wall fins, buttresses, and ramparts working are wonderful! Now if only panels could be placed on battlements.... Big parcels producing the correct outputs is good (Stonemasonry overall still needs work though...) The VIP benefits are pretty neat. Nothing overtly P2W, IMO. Top 5 Dislikes and why (be brief please) about (what you feel we could be doi

  10. Albion Online was way more successful than Crowfall during its alpha/beta, and Crowfall would be a huge success to match Albion Online's live service game business results. Albion Online's premium or VIP option allows things like the following (last I checked): Collect 50% Silver and loot from mobs 50% increased Gathering yield 100% Farming yield and Animal growth times on your player island 50% Reduced Market tax The territory control, open-world PvP players and market have by-and-large indicated with their time and purchasing power that those kinds of things

  11. I agree. Crowfall needs to make money in order to continue to develop content in the game moving forward. If VIP is not worth buying, no one will. I know I won't buy it if all it has to offer is a few cosmetic items. The line for me between acceptable P2W and unacceptable P2W is gear or items being offered that quite literally have amazing stats on it that quite literally swing a fight in your favor VS items that merely help lessen the grind a little or help you advance your character development a little after. The second example is acceptable, the first is not. In my opinion, Crowfall

  12. The somewhat original crafting combinations sheet presented by the Winterblades guild. I have partially updated the sheet for 6.400. On this update, I have added a tab that has the stat values as the base components in these combinations are now static values. Check out our sheet here: http://winterblades.net/crafting-combinations The sheet has Weaponsmithing, Armorsmithing, and Woodcrafting updated for 6.400. Shoot me a PM on the forums or on Discord if you run across something that appears to be wrong.

  13. The food regen and mount decay rate i find ok, you can already fill your food meter everywhere and the mount decay is barely a problem. But having access to more tools is a straight up advantage in a campaign. If a guild needs 25% less resources(because they need 25% less tools) to get started thats a huge advantage.I no longer need to make 100 tools to get started,i need 75 which is 1.less resources needed to get started 2.one person can help the guild instead of making tools 3.When you hit a good tool you have acess to it for longer. What is the general opinion on this?

  15. For me, my first choice is to have my main on Live in Dregs when Dregs is up. It's the only real place I can level past 32. My second choice is to Test new stuff on Test server. ACE needs us to find bugs early on Test so we all can have a better experience when patches are promoted to Live. If no Live dregs, AND nothing new on Test, I will either level an Alt or do real life stuff. What are your preferences?

  16. Pretty sure you can just level from 1-18 in the Infected Temples. Going through the NPE is just faster (and rewards some useful items)

  17. Even though at the end of the day is their game, so they do what they want to do and not with the community thinks etc. U just cant make MMOS without community. From what i see, at launch they will either have a totally different posture towards community or this game is faded to fail. Also, if we are talking about history, what does part of this developing team has of story to tell besides a massive faliure at a game launch? Want we or not this has a major influence for ppl looking for new games to play, etc. If they cant barely keep 1k testers into the game whats the plan when we are talking
    1 point
  18. Well, when you rely on unpaid volunteer testers... You kinda get what you paid for. Now, in my opinion, you CAN get good production from volunteers IF there is a shared TEST PLAN so the testers know what needs testing. Without a Test plan, most of us are NOT hunting for bugs and issues, we're playing the game and we MIGHT report bugs and feedback.

  19. Have you not seen this series where Tiggs asks us what we like and dislike?
    1 point
  20. Well, IMO, the devs can hang out with the community, OR, they can develop the game. If they try to do too much community hanging out, it slows the game down. Tiggs is here for us and she asks what the player / testers like and dislike and passes it on the rest of ACE.

  21. Dude i just think that since 6.4 we had 5 days of dregs and 30 days of infected only, not even test server is up now which is ok but why no dregs??? this question just cant get out of my mind. Devs are silent for 4 days since they took test for a internal testing, which can be ok. I just cant get why they dont tell us anything about when or if we will have other dregs or anything. We are stuck to infected for a month basically with absolutely nothing to do... why? im sure ppl would prefere a dregs with bugs then a infected only month. Its a beta game afterall, noone is expecting a perfect

  22. Cosmetics are obvious, people want to look cool and show off to others. When it comes to a competitive game with winners/losers, time & effort being a decent factor, and any advantage being used, I can only assume that someone would pay for such things because they will provide an advantage towards winning, regardless if they actually "win" anything or not. If those items were insignificant, didn't impact the game, and things not to "worry" about, why would someone pay for them? Can't really quantify how much such things will benefit an individual/guild or impact performance

  23. If you missed the original HD, take a look at videos from 2015-16. From what I remember of the original and from what they've said and shown off recently, the two versions look very different. Same only in name. Much of this is due to every aspect of the game has changed since then so they are using what is available today and not from 5+ years ago. Looking at the UI, art, and planned HD features like match making, I don't see how it could be a part time task for one or even a couple devs. Likely requires a good number of them from various departments. Granted I doubt it's a ton

The crowns should be in your account. If you go to Crowfall.com and open your user profile, you should see a menu option for "Wallet". In there, you should see the crowns. The pack pig you can get in-game by going to the lobby and clicking on "Inbox". When you redeem the pack pig, it will be placed into your Vault, which you can access by going to the bank in God's Reach or Infected, or by pressing B while in an Eternal Kingdom (player world). The 20% extra storage is in your vault. It doesn't show it, but it will allow you to store 240 items instead of 200. If you are missing a

  25. I'm ok with selling those thing and not just regular items. I don't understand why we would want to gate those behind a VIP though. Let them sell any and all in game. Drives a great player driven economy. I'm generally ok with leveling boosters as well. The way the current game is set up, during my grinding game, I've saved up enough sacrifice items to take a green vessel to the next level immediately and I also have saved up enough to take a blue vessel to the next level as well so a instant lvl 32 sacrifice items seems like a moot point. Basically, my line for a P2W is where crowfall li

  27. There are two approaches to this commands, an easy and bad solution and a harder and good one. In the first solution you just apply the command to the current guild members. They can implement it easily, I think, but it's a bad solution. In the second one they will probably need new tech to apply the roles to guilds instead of players and when they try to see what a player can do in an EK check the player and the guild. This solution is the good one but it's not that easy.

    Crowfall Flies High in March!

I'd probably play some Hunger Dome for variety some of the time, even with plenty to do in Dregs. Especially when what you want is some reliably quick PvP, since open world sandboxes don't tend to provide that.

  33. [Migrated this from the 6.500 Live thread that died...] Some common criticisms that keep coming up are: 1) Small to mid size groups want more ways to be involved in dregs (other campaign settings as well). 2) Campaign worlds feel empty and devoid of action outside of siege windows. 3) Most activities end up getting zerged by a large groups. 4) New players find it difficult to get engaged in campaigns and feel the game is "boring". 5) Some more veteran players feel there's "nothing to do." I think there's an opportunity to kill multiple birds with one stone here by adding flashpoint t

And, even though we don't take our armor & weapons from the MMO environment to the HD environment, we do take our disc & stats, no? A group of 35s in voice comm are gonna cleanup over a bunch of level 30s in a PUG.

  35. As to not to just post criticisms without trying to offer suggestions... Farming Mobs: I think the PvE flashpoint events described in the original post is an acceptable alternative to creating a deeper PvE experience. I do think there are some basic things that would improve the feel of mob farming. These include: organizing mobs into group pulls of varying composition and difficulty, creating some very basic group AI/behaviors (Tank, DMG, Heal), adding patrol groups to camps... In general adding some of the simpler features that were present in very old school MMO dungeons. Also, adding

  36. ESO is a full fledged PvE themepark, their population wont be effected like a tiny PvP sandbox game. BDO, would be a better comparison since they are OW PvP. That game did indeed add a HD/BR mode to the main game. You know what happened? folks liked it enough to stop farming in the OW and PvP interaction dropped. Pearl abyss then pulled the mode out of the game and packaged and sold it as a standalone game. In the end the mode was terrible for the hacking and economy/game damage. The devil will be in the details of how they will implement this to merge in the main game.

  37. Clam Stacking Casuals is a competitive, Dregs-focused guild founded by Crowfall veterans looking for like-minded players! We intend to push for Conquest victories in the Dregs campaigns as well as form competitive teams for Hunger Dome, but we also understand that folks have lives and as such we do not demand a hardcore time commitment every night. You would be a good fit for the Clams if you: 1. Are looking to play to win and improve both your own play and the guild. 2. Have a team-focused attitude. 3. Can have a fun time with friend and enemies while still remaining competiti

  40. Might be nice if Int contributed to mana by say 50% or even just 25% of the rate that SPR does. High INT builds shouldn't suffer from a lack of mana. The other avenue ACE could choose to go is by allowing a higher INT to increaes the rate at which mana is increased while in combat. SPR = larger pool of mana, INT could equal a faster regen time.

  41. So here is the damage calculation formulas I found out. Please notice they dont take into account the following stats: Weapon Damage (The stat not the weapon value), enemy low/high health, attack from behind, etc. I have no easy way to acquire those and I dont wanna change classes to see how they affect the formulas. Plus I am lazy. I believe it should be easy to update the formula if those values are not 0% in your build. Same thing for a healing formula. Cant heal, but it should be easy to change the formula to use Healing Stats. obs.: The dummies final mitigation is 50%. So r

Does the ACE dev staff refuse to fix issues on weekends? That MIGHT work during Beta but shouldn't they be migrating to a more post launch approach?
