  2. I do not think there is a "feedback" thread set up currently for HD, so thought this was best spot to post it. Will try to post a couple comments I have had and others have as well. Name Plates There has been suggestions to "hide" player names and instead only show their race / promo combination. Additionally some comments about hiding guild plates. While I can see the purpose for doing so with a small population, i think the need goes away if a large enough player pool. They're going to go buy a pepperoni pizza somewhere else and aren't going to come back to your shop until you're selling them pepperoni.   8. Yep, it is quite possible that if Shadows had been available for a long time now, the population of Crowfall would be much higher. The gap between Infected and Dregs drives people away. There might even be more Dregs pop, because people were able to get established in Shadows, stick around, join a guild, and start playing Dregs.

  9. First things first my apologies for the roughshot nature of this guide, tis my first time making something like this in a long while. So you've managed to make it up into infected, you've been following quests this entire time and now you're left aimless. Once you get to infected, your first goal should be getting up to level 30, this can be done by going through either of the 2 adjacent runegates. Do not take the runegate to Skypoint as that is the central pvp area with mobs around level 27-30ish. Go through the runegate and find yourself a camp or two using the map, farm yourself up some

  12. <QUESTION> Currently at the end of a Dregs campaign, players are unceremoniously dumped to the lobby - would it be possible to have a HungerDome match at the end instead where the queue is populated by players from said Dregs campaign, selected through a variety of possible methods? (I have several very cool ideas for ways to integrate that btw)

  13. I been barking up this tree for a bit. I do not want to play dregs. I very much want to play a shadows campaign with actual divine favor to win and points that matter. I like having unknown and uncontrollable allies and enemies, and I like how that can drastically reshape how each campaign plays and what it does for my respect for and knowledge of my opponents and allies. Waiting for player counts to increase when you fling every new player from the pointless non-competition of Infected directly in to "get in a 200 man alliance or suffer" environment of the pvp endgame is not going to gro

  14. Last tournaments clearly show huge problems: 1) You can farm in save places ignoring the fights and then get epic gear. If lucky - get lego gear also ignoring the fight. Then you can hide until closing circle. 2) Bunker setups which are fully based on a final circle fight have advantages. Plus RNG (aka random). 3) Balance issues force you to make archetypes. But if ppl are allowed to make special setups - you will notice much more issues. 4) Soft playing and priority targets (ally, guild mates can do this) such a $@*!&# gameplay which is a violation of the rules, but di

I believe a faction campaign would bridge the game for a lot of the new players coming into Crowfall, we are bleeding players who get lost in the switch from infected to dregs, its just such a large jump for a lot of new players who get stomped by bigger guilds. A Faction campaign will give new players a chance to group up and meet new people while they take objectives and complete tasks. This is hard to do in dregs since most people you come across in the game will be an enemy and most of the time you will be outnumbered. I'm going to steal @yoink 's idea here because I think it's a possible solution to the no-fighting problem. 12 Teams start Spring) Groups can capture forts, gear up, etc. At the end of spring, the God Statue Respawns go away Summer) By the end of summer, if you don't own a fort (8 forts), you are eliminated. This would make people fight over the forts. The respawn timer when you die should be increased so if you own a fort you can't just immediately respawn there after dying.   19. - I think you should get random names and Guildtags should be removed to participate until end of the match where it gets revealed. There definetly been some cohesion/favorism with some teams and towards others. Specifically with guild tags yeah alot will fight eachother however when u have say a 3 way fight betwee n2 team of same guild vs another random one the 2 guilds team will tend to hit the other team first (may be subconsciously doing it but its definite happens more than it should. and this should help reduce this from happened especiallyu in tournament settings. - the circle defi

  20. The EK list is too hard to navigate, if the game's economy is going to rely on them, there needs to be a better system for finding EKs that are online and EKs with active vendors. I think it would be much better if you only show EKs that are online in the ALL list: It would be even better if we took this one step further and made it so there was a selector that told us if the EK has ACTIVE vendors in it.   21. It is not any player's responsibility to market the game. The fact is that crowfall's name is mud outside these forums and its stable of "official partner program so I'll say good things about it to remain a partner so I feel special" shills. These constant attempts at doing all these other marketing gimmicks isn't going to ever change that. You can add all the twitch drops and limited edition sponsored events you want, bribe people to PLEASE play your game all you want, manufacture excitement by giving the twitch cloutless a sliver of clout all you want, but in the end crowfall is still

  22. If the problem is that the game cant support both Dregs and Shadows at once then the best move for the game is opening Shadows only. The data shows people in a guild have way better chance of sticking around, so what you need to improve is retaining new players. I still dont understand why we gotta point this out.

Perhaps I can Unfortunately there isn't exactly a one-size-fits-all Archdruid build, because you have to go very deep into either damage or healing/sustain to become competitive with other classes in those departments. My first question would be what kind of scale of combat are you looking for, and what kind of classes do you expect to be playing alongside? As for Archdruid's current state I would say they are very underrated, but that's because they are very finnicky to play and get the most out of. AD has insane sustained AoE damage and AOE burst potential in group fights, espec

  27. Been trying to log in for over 30 mins now. Launcher kept saying Crowfall (Not responding)! Then suddenly it works and I add my details and get the message server undergoing maintenance!   34. Making the names the same would help viewers understand what is going on. Right now a team has their registered name and whatever god team name they are given in the HD match. The names on the scoreboard, shield icons in HD, and the death announcement all revolve the god team name. However all the casters and spectators refer the the teams by their registered name. So whenever they look at the scoreboard, there is some pause trying to figure out who is who. Or when a death announcement pops up, you get “Which team just died?” Makes everything more confusing than it needs to be.

  35. I don't think the intention with HD is to replace Faction vs. Faction or any other campaign. It's Crowfall's answer to the MMO Battleground, and has mostly been described as such in the Q&A sessions. The focus on HD that we're currently seeing is a marketing push. It's much easier to promote HD than it is to promote a a multi-week long campaign. This might be short-sighted in the end, though, as it may just give people the wrong impression of the game.   36. We need to make ppl fight more, so: PVP in crowfall takes longer than in other MMOs, you cant just burn a player with few seconds, specially on the beggining. That said, fighting on the begginins its just stupid cause you gonna fight for like 5 minutes and will delay all the farming, the killed group will loose anything (cause they have anything) and they will also respawn. So its a waste of time for BOTH. So it cant expect a lot of fights in the beggning. But we can improve the reward to fight on mid game: - Bank NPCS sells some vessels (up to green vessels) but only accepting choppe

  37. An alternative option for increasing incentive to fight is to change scoring. Obviously this won't happen for this tournament, but awarding points for match placement and kills is better than just match placement. For future tournaments, assuming we get there 😛, I would recommend having tournament placement determined by overall scoring, and award the last-man-standing of each round some 'bounty' reward like in-game currency, cash, or swag. Also, anything less than 3 games is basically just decided by RNG for a BR. But, in the end, this is a marketing event and not an esports event, regar

  39. I think they didnt have enough interest and couldn't fill out the roster. Yes, 450 isnt much for an mmo launch, but it was too much in this case. What choice do they really have but allow any teams no matter how it looks. Better to have the appearance of collusion then the reality of no players.

  43. I really need to just sit on a testing dummy a bit to check. Also I have had a new issue. What does suppression do. Where does it tell you this. Do I have to have someone go suppress me to find out. Google hasn't found me much and I only see it because the vandal promotion class says backstab now causes suppress. If it was on the new backstab tool tip, that would be great. If the crowpedia had buffs and debuffs listed, that would also be great.

I can't help but feel that it's doing continued damage to the public image of the game and chances of succeeding at launch to market to, and invite new players into beta with only Dregs and no real Faction campaigns. Anecdotally, it seems like almost every new player feedback post ends at getting confused/bored with Infected, trying out Dregs, getting steam rolled, feeling stuck, and then quitting. That's assuming they make it to 30 which also seems to be not guaranteed. I get that a lot of people backed because of GvG, but I think it's the worst way to introduce new players to the game.

  47. I think the world is too big and plentiful for the population we have so it's easier to skirt around than it is to contest, and most people take the easier option for a multitude of reasons. Not saying there aren't times where skirting by is a good option, but full groups can just avoid each other completely. Someone gets hit, the rally call goes out, and boom, no enemies. You'd think they cried wolf. I think this opens the bigger picture of, what is there to fight over? Resources are not scarce, outposts are everywhere, wartribes are not scarce, etc. You get ganked in one spot well you j

  48. So before anyone grabs a pitchfork or a burning torch, let it be known you can blame Dilbo for getting me into the game. Today, after about two weeks of faffing about playing the game I finally got to sample what Crowfall is really all about with some small and large scale PvP, as well as defending a castle. Many thanks to guild 'Hax' for the latter. Excuse any terminology I get wrong, I'm still learning. Crowfall first and foremost is a PvP experience (as I understand it), it confuses me then that the first experience new players have with the game is a two to four hour long PvE
