    @vkromas How are we supposed to get Major Runes? Dragged Ancient (r9) to Hunger Shard Area - Didn't Change Killed Ancient (r9)- No combat souls and no major disciplines. As far as I can tell there is NO WAY to get major discs this build. Can you please confirm or find out? Possible Fix : Make Ancients ALWAYS hunger form until combat soul drops are in. If combat souls do drop please explain how so we can test. Skinning with Soul Tools has not proven fruitful.

    I really hope you mean that the new vessel will shake old one loose. Considering EVERYTHING is being pushed to a longer grind for our vessels, saying "eh just make a new one" isn't a good solution. Or do you really want us to make a new vessel. Level it. Farm Minors through wartribes. Create Majors(NOT SURE HOW CURRENTLY) Farm Materials for gear. Because players will say "nah, im gonna sit this out until yall fix it" Just being truthful. EDIT: Looks like that you literally mean make a new vessel and level it, considering barriers to entry to pvp this "workaround" seems laughable.

    @vkromas@jtoddcoleman@thomasblair@ACE_FancyHats@ACE_JackalBark Can we please get a confirmation that Major Disciplines (Combat Souls) are not in the game and that there is really no good way to get Major Disciplines for this patch? Yes we know we have to use Soul Tools to get Souls. Yes we can get Harvesting/Exploration Disciplines (Villein/Foreman etc) Yes the Major Discipline RECIPES are in the game. NO we cannot farm Ancients (they only drop stuff in hunger mode). NO we cannot get combat souls. Can we please get confirmation that we are currently missing a key aspect to making Major Combat Disciplines? Once again(post in bug feedback and been pointing this out even when 5.90 was on test) can you PLEASE make Ancients always HUNGER form or add Major Combat disciplines to their NON-Hunger form just until Combat souls have been correctly added into the game. We still need the crutch of Ancients and killing the Night/Hunger cycle has broken this crutch so we have no way to get Majors. EDIT: Even a response saying "combat souls will be added soon" would help. Although I think changing Non-Hunger Ancients to have the Loot Tables of Hunger Ancients would not be difficult.

    5.90 LIVE Feed Back for 5/20/2019

    This is the first patch, that made me feel angry and dull. Game is totaly unstable, pvp content is about 5% of playtime and the rest is braindead grind for gear, which is the biggest factor in pvp. Population is being depleted. I don't know where the shift from initial direction happened and why, but I don't want to play it until game is back to its roots. I am taking break.

    Didn't see in listed known issues: Dying has a chance for racial slot items to go to overflow. Another death after being in overflow drops this item. Examples: Guinea Ring, High Elf Neck, Centaur Horseshoe To test equip something in these racial slots and die(reports that it doesn't happen every time so may need to do a couple times to trigger it.)

    Suggestions --------- I played just over a year ago for about a month and then stopped, I am getting too old to spend a lot of time play testing a game. Ok here is my suggestion. JTodd, I have been a fan of the games you've been apart of in the past. I was addicted to Shadowbane and I liked some parts of Faxion. I signed up to Crowfall because of your past games and the original vision YOU had for Crowfall. STOP LETTING THOMAS BLAIR MAKE DECISIONS....he is turning your game idea into a grind fest...a chore. The crafting system is WAY TOO interdependent. The passive skill training takes WAY TOO long. Gear breaks WAY TOO often and soon. Disciplines seem WAY TOO hard to come by. The fact that I need 3 guild members to do anything really makes an independent person feel like a leach /a dependent child / a hanger-on; it's kinda degrading. If I get a week where I have the luxury of being able to play a game....it doesn't matter how much I grind, I still will have a lowbe. Much of character development is locked behind a time gate (I felt that in Faxion as well, though not nearly to the degree I feel it in Crowfall). I was exited for a Throne warfare game like Shadowbane that had a fast paced, combat system like Faxion. But what this game in it's current iteration has me wondering if I will keep playing. Even with a guild, this game (the past 3 weeks I have been back playing) is way to much grind for me. Just as I farm enough blue mats for weapons and armour, my white gear breaks (again) leaving me to finish trying to level a blue vessel with the had earned blue gear I JUST GOT. After about 10, R10 cats, the durability on my brand new gear is already close to 1/3 lower and I haven't died in that gear yet. So as other threads have said...it a grind for the sake of grinding; NOT for GvG throne warfare. To my understanding, T Blair is the person behind crafting and passive skill training. He has some good ideas as far as powers go, and even though I feel the crafting system is way too interdependent, some crafting depth is required. T Blair has taken it over-board. Rein him in. By all means, keep listening to his suggestions, I believe he does have some good ones BUT STOP LETTING THOMAS BLAIR MAKE DECISIONS

    Factions allow people to get started in the game before they join guilds. They also serve the purpose of giving guilds that are losing Dregs campaigns an alternative campaign type where they can lick their wounds and catch up. People can build power in Faction campaigns before tackling Dregs campaigns. They serve a purpose, even if the "real game" is Dregs campaigns.

    Instead of just complaining about what I'm not personally happy with, I'll try providing some feedback (and hopefully discussion) on what I think would be cool additions to the game, particularly the Dregs since that hasn't been implemented yet and it has the potential to be the game mode that will differentiate CF from all the other RvR MMOs currently out there: 1) Win conditions and ruleset: What I really don't want the Dregs to become is just a copy-paste of the faction with just the added grind of having to build the keeps and forts instead of just claiming the preset ones. That means win conditions that revolve simply around building and holding keeps/forts for points, which are accumulated through the seasons. I want something more along the lines of the Bloodstone ruleset which was presented as an example years ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=3&v=IolWGu7xFlw Something that forces the more well established alliance to split their forces between defending their city and transporting the bloodstones to the dropoff location, and that allows a "homeless" alliance currently unable to hold a city to still have a fighting chance. Ideally something that would spread out the objectives as much as possible as well to account for performance and zone lock limitations. 2) Less spammy combat: I know all signs and previous statements point against what I'm proposing here, but I'd really like to see some form of group wide friendly fire (like Big World had) or at the very least guild wide friendly fire (assuming guild caps at something around 50 players). But 5-man group friendly fire would be ideal. If we just have alliance wide free from friendly fire, combat will just play exactly the same as in factions. There'll be very little differentiation. Huge blobs of laggy ability spam clashing against each other in a war of attrition that is usually more fun for the shot callers and leaders to coordinate than for the individual players to participate in. Groups of 5 would give a little more room for individual plays to occur, would spread out people more, and it would be more interesting from a tactical and strategical side as well. Not to mention another mechanism to favor coordination over numbers more. 3) As much of a clean slate before the start of the CW as possible, or a more flat power curve when it comes to gear. I remember reading a thread in the 5.8 discussion forum a couple months ago (I honestly can't remember who it was, yoink maybe?) showing how passive skills alone would allow a guild to already have a gigantic jump start even after a complete gear wipe (including vessels) at the start of a campaign. And while I won't beat this horse here again, gear currently has a huge role in terms of stats and raw power. Are tomes going to be enough of a catch up mechanism in terms of skills? Can't say, but gear power has gone waaaay beyond what I woud have liked to see for the game, so as much of a clean slate before the start of the campaign would be ideal IMO. I honestly don't have a solution for this one, but frankly I wouldn't mind a Dregs CW where skills are temporarily reset to zero again, although on the other hand doing the gear grind from zero every single time might just lead people to burn out since the grind has become pretty excessive over time. I don't know, frankly nerfing gear a lot and flattening the power curve would really make for a more healthy game IMO. And then it wouldn't matter as much. These are my initial thoughts and feedback. Would be really interested to see what other people think about it and what they wanna see for the Dregs.

    Don't know if its supposed to work like that or not but @ Merphyron / Chaos Gateway XYZ: 2992, 0 , 2441. The chests there spawn items inside every time you open them, so you can get infinite amount of meat and bangades.

    Pressing issues: The target being assigned on keypress (instead of release) for attacks like ranger bow LMBs needs a fix. Same thing applies to harvesting - weak spots light up and disappear when you mouse over them rather than when the tool hits. It just feels wrong. The getting stuck on changing zones is really irritating too. Sometimes it sticks on loading zone, sometimes on loading terrain. Either way, we have to kill the client and restart. And attack queuing is still noticeably broken. That's another one that needs a fix sooner rather than later. We take the old "tow truck" durability hit on every death now because we are forced to rez at a temple/statue instead of flying back to our body. No way to get major disciplines in 5.9

    UI for capturing is intermittent. Sometimes it shows the progress circle sometimes it doesn't for camps. When do yo step into a Camp sometimes it doesn't register so you need to walk out and back in. Other times it won't work at all. If you used random world generation for the new campaign it didn't work as it's using the old map.1

    duelist ambush has no animation. I see that you don’t have impale on your list of issues....???? It’s the most broken I’ve ever experienced this patch. we could see an enemy player, duelist, past 40m who was in stealth when they were in their own outpost. When they left the circle went back to unseeable stealth. Did not see any tunnel animation. Got stuck between unbreakable rocks in Ismiris at 2019, 22, 2817

    If they started with Dregs, population would probably be half of what it is, if that. People whine about losing in pre-alpha as it is. Imagine if it was every guild/alliance for themselves without any safe spaces. From recent comments it doesn't appear that ACE intends to appeal to "average" or "normal" players. It's the "hardcore" no lifers. Which seem to want Dregs so not sure what point Factions will have once Dregs are available. The target audience and the design goals seem a bit off. As is, CF offers little to nothing in comparison to other games in regards to RvR/Factions. Especially true if Camelot ever launches and is half way decent. Those that think an arena/hunger dome option is crazy will likely see the end of Factions as well. Who wants variety... Got the not-so-complex crafting system, Dregs, and matches that come to an end yet don't thwart Uncle Bob. Not sure those will be strong enough selling points.

    Banetrees have no damage flytext and do not write to the combat log. If not for the toast message and siege status window, we wouldn't know we're damaging it at all. Spider queen was added back in, but it doesn't seem like her loot table was adjusted. I killed her half a dozen times and only got dust for the trouble. Also, her Punishing Cocoon power stays in effect for several seconds after the animation ends.

    Well its only been an hour or so, and I am not sure about player numbers but a huge leap forward for me, been to multiple zones on different characters with no loading zone error, and the EK seems to be functioning much better than it has in days, mine never broke :)

    They really need to take a good hard look at Startgame, earlygame, midgame, lategame, and endgame numbers, for gathering and crafting. Startgame first month, early game 1 month + to 3 month, Midgame 3 month to 9 months Endgame 9 to 12-18 months. If people are not feeling progression and more importantly having fun, they will not last past the first month. You have to get that first months resubscribes. And it has to be a strong finish for the first months time. Look at the passive skill training at a x1 towards gathering and you see small progression and very little fun. They need to take a good hard look at the whole gathering aspect of the game and tweak it and polish it until is shines and people WANT to go out and harvest. It is the riskiest part of the game, with the most investment of time and the whole game is balanced around people out in the world harvesting. They have to nail it, and it is getting lip service. Weak points need to affect yield with both crit chance and crit amount and even bene harvest chance, power,and duration, Gathering Q's need to buff the group you are in. The trigger for the gathering stats on breaks needs multiple buckets to enhance group gathering. We need to have groups wanting to form up for gathering so that they have a defense for the wolves, and keeping people engaged and in the world. The current bug where everyone in the group gets their own loot drops needs to continue and increase and be made not a bug, but instead a feature. We want folks grouping and having fun.

    Campaign status for 5/20/19

    Upon review of the great feedback from testers that we’ve seen over the course of the last few days (THANK YOU!), we have decided to take additional time to address some gameplay and technical issues before resuming the Trials of the Gods. Here’s the plan: We will kick off another mini-campaign, Cimazen, this afternoon. (At the time of this writing, I’m not able to give an exact time; I’ll update this post when I have one.) This will be a two-day campaign. We’ll be watching carefully, so your bug reports and feedback and ultra-important so we can quickly identify anything else that needs tweaking before a new trial begins. Although the campaign that’s kicking off today will begin too late for an EU siege, EU will still have the opportunity to complete two sieges before this mini-campaign ends on Wednesday.

    I would think a in-game report function would be better, it allows the player to do it as the bug happens. Also if something like a log of your current client was able to be sent with the report; or a picture from in-game even better. Having you have to exit or tab out of the game seems convoluted and interrupts your time playing to have to tab out. Rather then just having it all conveniently inside the game imo. They would also gain confirmation more concisely through a reporter since there should be less fluff in the explanation of the report. "This is what I was doing, this happened because of/ while i was doing this. Here are my logs or a picture of it." Done.

    So I just got this game this past weekend, I am not sure if this has been mentioned before or not. Is there any plans to make an in-game bug reporter? I feel like it would help a lot more than having to come back to the forums every time you want to report an issue. I can see people seeing a bug, and continuing playing then forgetting about it a bit later.

    Ok I play too much, but even with the wipe 4 weeks ago I have a capital parcel, a villa and a manor, and around 30 stacks of white ore sitting on a merchant.. we need something to do with this surplus, that is why I suggested like 1/5 of an experience point per white resource for high level high end vessels so a stack of 200 white ore would only be worth 40 or 50 xp, by no means a game changer, but it gives us some use for these extra whites, you could even make gold, grubs whaever worth the same 5th of a point, I either just flat out throw out, or wait till I get ganked to clear alot of the crap out of my inventories I have no use for Also most of this farming was off r7 nodes, so I was not farming just to gain whites... I have used most of the blues for armor and weapons over this period, so if I want to stay in blues, with the crazy durability loss I am just going to continue to pile up more and more white resources

    Blair's stated that he tries to err on the side of too difficult than too easy when initializing a system. That way when a balance adjustment has to be made, it's usually in the players favor than a nerf. I was without a computer for a couple of months so I jumped from 5.7 to 5.9. While there's still a long ways to go, I feel that Crowfall is easier to get started in now than it had been when campaigns were initialized. So I think Thomas Blair's direction is working, it's just a slow process that will require a lot of iterations before the game gets to a satisfactory point. There's still new systems being brought online that will have to be taken into consideration. Once the vendor system is more fleshed out and version upgrades become consistent enough to make EK development a bigger part of the economy, I expect to see an impact on player interactions. White materials might have little value in crafting equipment but you need a ton of them to build EK plots. That could be a good way for lowbies to earn gold to buy the equipment or resources they need to be a warrior or tradesman. I wouldn't take the current build to be representative of what the finished game will be like. But it's important that the people at ACE hear these criticisms so that they have an idea of which way to, as seastodd put it, adjust the knobs. Have you written over on the 5.9 feedback forum yet? That would probably be a more direct way to get your concerns looked at by the developers.

    The durability system, and the current leveling system for epic and legendary vessels is too much of a grind at the moment, I have to agree, and this is coming from a gamer who enjoys a bit of a grind. The durability system should be an easy fix with some turning of those knobs, my suggestion for the experience gain would be to simply give white and green items some sacrifice value even to high level high end vessels but just make it minimal.. like make gold 1/5 of a exp point for each coin, green items might be a third or a half.. that way you lower the grind and players will have something to do with those 20 stacks of white resources

    It can randmoly drop from hunger version of Ancient Animals R6+. They turn into hunger version near hunger crystals. P.S. bring party for them, they are tough.

    It’s a buff that increases your crit harvest chance, stam regen, and OOC movement speed. Very good for getting high yields from harvesting

    I agree with points 1 and 2. I'm only quoting because I disagree on point 3. When you're in a combat or battle situation, looking at your map means sacrificing your environmental awareness. Having a minimap mitigates that tension. Even while ranging, you want to be careful where and for how long you examine your map to avoid being sneak attacked. That said, I would not be opposed to enabling a minimap as part of a discipline. It makes sense for players who want to be a dedicated scout have an awareness advantage at the cost of other functionality.

    Ich denke, dass ein klassisches instanziertes Level (wie in vielen RPGs und MMORPGS üblich) indem alle Grundfunktionen mal angerissen werden das beste ist. Besonderer Fokus sollte auf folgenden Aspekten liegen: 1. Bewegungs- und Kampfsteuerung 2. Charaktermanagment, Erklärung von aktiven und passiven Skilltree, Ausrüstung von Items und Fähigkeiten 3. Openworld Ziele EDIT: Evtl. wäre ein Tutorial NPC ganz hilfreich der einem am Anfang im Tutorial begleitet und später im Tempel rumsteht und den man später nochmal ansprechen kann für Tipps und Co.
