  1. You mentioned that you miss not knowing anything when you start a game. This is why I (mostly) stopped paying attention to news updates for Crowfall; I already know that I'm going to play the game. I want to experience that sense of learning and exploring. Like you, I had that experience with Star Wars: Galaxies, and rarely since then.
  2. Based on the language... I would venture a guess that neither the "24/7 servers" nor the "removal of race restrictions" updates are it. They've already said that 24/7 test servers will be coming, so that wouldn't make sense as an announcement of this caliber. The removal of race restrictions would be more likely, since that's a huge change and one that has not yet been even suggested. The initial tease of a strangely-equipped murdeer would seem to support this. However, I don't think this particular update is going to be either. I honestly have no idea what it could be.
  3. Is there a Watch presence in the playtest sessions?
  4. A greatsword would be possible, based on that concept art, but it doesn't seem to fit the theme of the class. A rapier or cutlass seems to fit a swashbuckler or pirate archetype better than the Stalker. Stalkers, as they've been described so far, rely on stealth and patience. The most likely melee weapon I can think of for them, then, would be a dagger or kris or similar. Possibly a short sword. Something that's easy to hide, gets out of the way, and is fast on the draw. Nothing flashy. Ninja didn't run around wielding great weapons, after all. They relied on poisons, needles, wakizashi, and other easily-concealed weapons.
  5. Two people making an MMO? Normally I'd say yes, except that I backed Project Gorgon, which is also only two people. I'm cautious about Divergence Online, though. They're making use of an awful lot of SWG assets. That could be a lawsuit in the making.
  6. With the revelation that gods will play at least a minor role in the game mechanics of Crowfall, do you think we'll be able to place temples to specific gods in EKs? If so, how would you imagine they'd function?
  7. I like the art, and I like the concept even more. The idea that players will be choosing deities to align with as a game mechanic... I hope that's more than just a cosmetic choice. In fantasy settings generally, and in Crowfall in particular, gods tend to muck with mortal lives pretty frequently.
  8. Resources. By that, I mean the entire ecosystem around sampling, automated harvesting, random and never repeated resource generation, and so on. Only Firefall ever attempted anything like that, and Firefall dropped that system eventually.
  9. Joining the Slack channel is definitely a must going forward.
  10. Pathfinder Online just laid off everyone but three people and is seeking a buyer to continue development.
  11. Hey now, the Patriots won the Superbowl fair and square. And that little temper tantrum at the end of the game by whoever-it-was they played? Yeah, really professional. I pick the Pats to win again this year. =P
  12. Hey now, that's not how this works. You have to post what you're actually listening to at the time. =P

    Can't wait

Welcome to Crowfall. Grab a beer (unless you're underage), take a seat, and watch the shenanigans unfold on the forums while we wait for the game to release.
