I'm sure TTK feels low to the people who are still wearing white armor and are getting blasted by 5k neckbreakers from bugged 194 damage weapons.
Gear power aside, I like the current TTK overall and I hope the armor changes don't effect TTK except for making leather users more viable. Remove the mail/plate HP bonuses and give them an armor bonus instead, and add that hp back into the base vessel so there's not such a steep HP curve where you're more than doubling your base HP from armor.
I do agree that anti heal needs a little more love though. The assassin anti heal was definitely over nerfed. Assassin toxins in general need to be reworked. Alchemists should be able to experiment on them to determine their damage/effectiveness the same as a weapon or a quiver. They need to scale and not be just a flat amount. Another great suggestion I heard from @Scree was to make it so the poisoner discipline allows other classes to equip a poison similar to how bow disciplines / quivers work.
Another thought - make the third assassin tree the anti heal spec. I can't even think of the name of it because nobody plays it (it's not blackguard or cut throat).

Wait you mean to tell me that HoA and W are still using the weapons exploit even tho they asked everyone to not use them anymore? Who saw that coming??

OO that's right. We all did.

This is how I imagine this post came about:
Pann: Hey Blair, the players are upset about the horrid hungershard drops.
Blair: Don't worry Pann. The players are just blithering idiots. Clearly, the real problem is that in their extreme stupidity they didn't notice the changes I made to the skill trees. They obviously didn't already train them before running around for hours fruitlessly beating down hunger crystals.
Once trained they will realize the joy of spending hours hunting down the mythical r10 Hunger Crystals in the hopes of getting a halfway decent weapon additive. Imagine their absolute bliss when instead of getting that hungershard they have lost sleep hunting, they get a legendary sacrifice shard that is worth an astounding 1/3 of the xp you would get from the gold drop off a single r1 mob.
All I need to do is write an article explaining to the players how utterly stupid they are and finish by telling them they should be rejoicing about this situation.
Pann: Wow Blair, you truly are a genius.
Blair: It is a burden I bear Pann. But I bear it for the players.

Limiting content in a game with such scarce content by making it even scarcer would be a terrible decision for this game. So unfortunately these days it stands to be implemented, catering design this early on around a small handful of disgruntled and vocal players(compared to the amount that backed the kickstarter) is ludicrous. Further the legitimacy of the feedback on this thread is questionable at best, lots of new accounts are coming in and offering nothing but +1.

The score system is fundamentally broken in this current iteration of it, however removing all of the small groups of peoples ability to have an impact on the game is nothing but a recipe for a ghost town. I'm not seeing very many people advocating that the current system is perfect or even good, but it at least allows for some constant impact and score changing by the majority of players. I sincerely question the motives of those trying to limit others ability to even play the game through the use of time gates.

I think it's fascinating how many people here are engaging in some pointless act of vanity to try to improve their standing within the community. This thread was started by one of the driving forces behind Crowfall's development and instead of the community debating him on the merits of his design vision, bickering and nonsensical debating have filled 7 pages.
Few people in this thread have actually tried to respond to him, about their concerns with his fix.
This is probably why you guys never see them in the forums anymore. You provide zero value to the discussion. Jtodd doesn't give a rats ass about team stacking, populations, or whatever excuse you need to come up with to justify that you wanted to "win" at a pre-alpha test which awards a participation trophy. Keep on going on about it though, I'm sure this thread will join the graveyard of irrelevant discussions that have become the Crowfall forums.

I made the decision Sunday night to join chaos as Order was plagued with Spy's to the point that our every move was always monitored. We are hoping that we was able to shake some of those. I don't mind uXa being out numbered and we don't care if we die fighting.

These are issues that have been plaguing us for awhile. That realm of design is outside of my wheelhouse but I'll poke and prod to see if we can get any more information or updates on these issues. We've been pretty head-down trying to get 5.8 in a good state for testing so I apologize for being so mum lately.

Templar health scaling is not working, so using Holy Warrior and Brilliance only increases your health pool. To attempt to have that higher health you have to sit there and be healed up to the increased health pool.
Templar Combos will not always go off resulting in wasting the already limited pips the class has.
Templar pip regeneration is almost non existent, only gaining pips on the third swing unlike the other two pip classes makes it nonviable in a lot of combat situations since divine light is a situational power that can just be kited.
There is still an issue with Parry getting stuck on for the 30 seconds where you are slowed and can spam knockdowns.

These are Class Breaking problems, some of which have persisted across multiple patches now, I would appreciate any sort of acknowledgment that you at least are aware of the problems going into 5.8. @vkromas

I completely agree with switching back to giving Templar a pip on every lmb hit and returning the attack speed to what it was. It felt like an asinine change for absolutely no reason when it was done, and I can't see any logic behind the change.

That being said, Templar is a class built around punishing other melee classes. It should by design be in a bad spot when trying to fight a ranged character solo.

[You can view the original Winterblades thread HERE. ~ Pann]

    A New Chapter Begins:
We raise our banners for Crowfall and begin the latest campaign in our long history. Crowfall is the long awaited successor to Shadowbane and Darkfall, and Winterblades has been one of the most active guilds in the Crowfall Alpha from day one.  Stable leadership, focused on creating a low-drama community focused on enjoyable openworld PvP, has made Winterblades a guild that has survived through seventeen years and multiple games.  Around our core of veterans, we are inviting new recruits with a Guild-First attitude.  Join us for the battles ahead as we approach Crowfall release and beyond.
    Who Are The Winterblades?
The Winterblades is a community whose core membership was forged in the crucible of Shadowbane. The community has been around in various forms since Ultima Online in 1998, but entered into a new era with Shadowbane in 2003. Over the years, through skill, determination, and dedication, the guild developed into one of the most respected communities in Shadowbane. In Darkfall, Winterblades, along with The Shipwrecked Pirates formed the core of the leadership of Shadowbane Alliance based out of the Winterblades capital of Erinthel.
Our History is an open book. From the dark days of defeat to the heights of victory and server domination, we’ve endured and grown. The strength of the Winterblades is the strength of our membership. We have always favored quality over quantity and do not mass recruit. We have a highly veteran membership, including multiple Shadowbane Community and Class Advocates and a deep bench of leadership with long experience with in game politics and the trials of open world pvp gaming. Our community is low-drama and dedicated and has been gaming together for over 17 years.
The respect the Winterblades have enjoyed amongst our former foes is one of our greatest badges of honor. Our success on the battlefield, our stability as a guild, and the quality of our leadership can be measured not only by the members, but by the actions of our former rivals. We have had multiple guilds, that were once amongst our foes, sub or merge into the Winterblades after meeting us on the field. Victory is important, but how that victory is achieved is also crucial. We let our conduct speak for us. Maturity, Class, and Respect have always been important to us.
    How to Apply:
If you are interested in joining Winterblades for the Campaign World tests pm Angelmar on the forums or join us in our public discord.
We are only accepting applications from testers with access to testing at this time. During the testing and for live we will be focused on USTZ servers. We are also taking applications for any European gamers that want to play on the US servers. Interested players can join us on the field and run with us in Campaign World tests. There is a probationary period of 60-90 days currently where both the guild and the applicant have a chance to audition each other. Final decisions on ultimate recruitment will be based on field performance and most importantly how well you mesh with the rest of -W-.
Our door of course remains open to former allies and enemies (and especially to individuals that were both!) from Shadowbane and Darkfall.
Rulesets, Eternal Kingdoms, and the Unknown:
The ultimate mechanics of the Crowfall campaign system are still largely unknown. Winterblades will be playing on whatever ruleset becomes the Guild v Guild platform (likely dregs) along with most the rest of the greater Shadowbane community. -W- will be there as the new systems come online PvPing, testing, and shaping Crowfall as it nears release.
The mechanics of the Eternal Kingdoms (and how they will interact with the Campaign Worlds) are also still essentially open questions. Winterblades will always be focused on PvP and the Campaign Worlds (and maybe PvP in the EK!). The economic interaction between the Dregs and EKs is unknown, however we have a contingent of folks interested and invested in the the Eternal Kingdoms and the economy. As a guild that supported JTodd and Crowfall from the kickstarter, we have significant assets available from Citadels to Palaces to Parcels and will be monitoring the development of these systems as JTodd's vision for this mechanic expands.
Join us in Discord or PM Angelmar.
