I was just wondering if there's going to be a max amount of players that can be on one server at a time.

The easiest way to keep people off your account is an "account authorization key" and a really complex password. Hackers and botters are bound to happen.. not much you can really do except hope the community pulls together and report them and hopefully perma band them.
