    This is something to be excited and proud of as a community as it is beating out some solid competition. We had been sitting at 2 and 3 for a while.

    Hello people, welcome to Wednesday's unofficial information update, where I make up content by using Artcraft's visual assets.  I've been studying Fire Guy in an effort to discover something new.
     

     
    This guy is blowing up a wall.
     

     
    I could not really separate the two structures before, and just assumed both were one big structure in the distance, but after recognizing the fissures of ember to the left of the structure highlighted in blue and white, I knew something was off (Weeks later... hmph, nothing escapes my eye).
     
    The wall is also made out of stone, that burning piece of wood you see falling away?  That's molten stone.
     
    Why does it matter that the fire guy is tearing down a wall in concept art?  Concept art in Crowfall are glorified gameplay screenshots, until proven hyped.  This is likely a showcase of building destruction, by a fire spell, no less.
     
    If you don't believe me, open up the original image yourself.  If this was old news then... *cries in a corner*...I knew that, I was just being ironic.
     
    Spells look pretty devastating in the original concept of this game so far, perhaps this hints at reagent requirements for these types of "terrain altering" spells?
     
    Powerful spells also hint at long channeling costs.  If a fire spell can destroy obstacles, it must not be easy to use, otherwise archers would feel so weak compared to fire mages.
     
    Guys speculate, and keep the fire lit.
     
    I have a feeling the Devs are going to release a lot of awesome information when the countdown ends.

    Yeah I'd like a magic expert versed in all the elements! And a viable Battle Mage build, I think that would be the most fun to play IMO.

    I'm excited about the support role. To me it screams JACK OF ALL TRADES! VERSATILITY! I'd love to run into a battle, a tank holding agro, dps going at it and me buffing them and then providing milder DPS support as well as stuns/snares.

    Totally, I really want to play the Melee DPS, but I think somehow playing a Mage type or Range DPS i.e. Ranger would be better DPS focused, Melee DPS may fall short in my mind with an assassin class going on out there, just a thought. You can't really lose with a Mage, everyone needs a mage and ranger.
     
    Tank and healer too is needed, but I don't really like to play them so much.

    First!  I really liked that theme, thanks for sharing one of my favorite parts of any game: the music!  But alas!  Who is the composer?!  I could not find any new names on the Team page!  Second, it's great to see a little bit more of the Knight!  Definitely a type I always enjoy playing in any game.

    I've got the opposite issue, none of the current archetypes are of much interest for me.  lol..  There's more to come and I'm sure something will click.  Also this title is a ways off and a lot of things can change.
     
    I'm hoping for a more brutal roguish archetype as the assassin is seemingly gender locked pixies.  perhaps a combat rogue, mercenary fighter, cutthroat brigand theme of sorts.
     
    also a dark woods survivalist ranger theme could be interesting.. lots of possibilities.  we just dont know yet.
     
    regardless the game's theme is certainly interesting.
     
    I too think it's a bit unusual having a plate armored knight utilizing a bow.  I think it may be in part because a crossbow is seen as not requiring quite the agility one would assume a bow would.  Also the slower firing / greater piercing ability of a crossbow is more associated with countering heavily armored opponents which some associate as being a more typical foe of an armored knight.

    TBH this game has much depth they've not really shown and it looks cool already i.e. the prospect of having different style to DPS with my Melee DPSer. Main roles are great for Tank/Healer/DPS but unless you've had a support role with you i.e. Bard's from FFXI which buff the crap out of the party you never realise just how UBER a mediocre team can be with a single dedicated supporter!
     
    Judging from what I've seen though e.g. Knights with Bows, the versatility here could mean a lot of fun playing solo as well as in a group. Already I'm excited about too many of the classes! In fact I'm even more excited about my Melee DPS, I can see how masterfully I can play with an entire arsenal at my control, ranging, kiting, domination from close and far. On the other shoe, when I "bust-out" my supporter I wanna buff the crap out of my toon, other people's toons and bust stuff up, probably have a small healing ability e.g. a master solo class!

    We'll probably be able to use a number of different weapons based on our archetype, promotion class, and discipline. Imagine a Stoneborn Forgemaster who promotes to "Warrior" and takes the "Archer" discipline. He might change his role and weapon type completely, while still retaining his original race specific flare.

    Yeah Knight is totally looking tops.
     
    I would like to be able to be attacked by a maximum of 3 mobs same level range as me and be able to churn them down slowly without being too pressed for health! In my opinion some big mistakes are made when the knight/tank role is pretty much useless on his own, easily being overpowered by mobs and such, I think because of his shield his defense should be pretty high and even though he can't put out much damage it should be enough!
     
    The Templar seems to be better at CC maybe taking all 3 mobs on at the same time due to AoE, but the Knight is slow but steady.

    Interesting as I find this world, nothing comes close to the endless possibilities in the real world scenario of GOOD V.S. EVIL! Both completely equal sides fighting on polar extremes. One full off good knowing that their actions all carry virtue and value whilst a nasty race of parasites make less than valuable maneuvers to turn everything to evil.
     
    From that context this game falls into a niche of what is GOOD VS EVIL! It's peoples in a particular setting where some fight for different kinds of good because that's all they know and some maybe more chaotic virtues because of a lack of a better understanding. I like the bigger world story but even a focused world story like this can hold extraordinary lessons and exciting situations. Experience builds character!
     
    Furthermore having seen the character screen there is just so much more we've yet to see and as a result I take my opinions and say there's going to be a decent amount of story to this game with clear elements of good versus evil and I think role players are going to love the choices not to mention the kinks of gameplay mechanics.
     
    -First imrpessions of Assassins, they had better have a good story for hating men, maybe all men in this world are completely savage. I would like that idea!
     
    -Templar seem honest salt to the earth people! I like this simplicity of right vs wrong. For all we know Assassins might be like a newly born race that know little to nothing about the world and had somehow been sullied by some savage males thus explaining this hatred they carry.
     
    -Forgemasters are top dog in my books, seem to share much in common with the Templar way of "doing work".
     
    -Legionnaire are very spartan, very 300, warrior's creed honor and all that. I like!
     
    Mark my words Assassins Fae are a newby race sullied by some kind of man and thus their developed hatred.
