    I don't remember what this thread is about, so this likely isn't relevant info, but here is why I don't play.
     
    Winning is more fun than losing.
    Sometimes losing can also be fun.
    Crowfall needs this to be true.
    Right now in Crowfall, winning is too often not fun, losing is rarely fun. And my biggest issue, it's often to much work to even get to a point where you are in a situation to win or lose.
    The large majority of PvP I've experienced in CF are sieges, and they are just not fun. I think it was hit dead on earlier that it's only fun for the Battle commander's and shot callers. Once multiple groups get involved on both sides all the classes meld together and any sort of individual interaction or play is lost.
    The classes are all to similar. Disciplines do not fix this in their current state because they all do roughly the same things. There are effectively only 3 classes.
    You can choose to swing a sword, shoot a fireball or heal.
    Race, class,  promotion class, and discipline choice only change the cosmetics and effectiveness of these 3 roles.
    The thousands of possibilities of character building don't matter in anything more than 10v10.

    "Numbers? What numbers? Get good noob! What people joined our Faction? That has nothing to do with how bad 3 faction campaigns are to test with the current state of the game! Bah! You guys should all play as hard as we do! We refuse to acknowledge or engage on this topic because we are obviously immune to these concerns, petty noobs cry moar"

    On the other side we have:
    "Zerg Zerg! The really hardcore pre-alpha people all teamed up and now I want my warm milk! I cannot understand why 2 large pre alpha guilds would do this to us! I would never do that to them! All of this is their fault for teaming up! Booo hiss!"

    Ultimately?

    Crowfall as a game is not in a steady state for productive World PvP testing. Keep rolling out features and let us test them in blocks but if 5.90 is anything - it shows some glaring issues that need to be addressed before launch.

    Crowfall looks really pretty. The update was great for movement. We are sorely lacking in areas of balance and adjustments that the game is in dire need to continue to see the pre-alpha community engagement levels we saw a few months ago. I've had plenty of new people come to check out Crowfall in the past few weeks who have been highly discouraged by not only the new player experience (we cannot keep telling people to just join a guild for direction/guidance) but the overall vitriol in the community as a whole. This is a pre-alpha that most of these people posting here paid for and some of us pretty heavily. Why isn't the overall sentiment - we all see these glaring issues - and here are some ways we can fix them or possibly adjustments that the development team can consider? 

    Right now Crowfall does not feel like a PvP game. I agree. 

    I hope in the future this changes - the sooner the better. I'll still be here, adding in little bits of suggestions and feedback where I can.

    Just found this thread and wanted to mention a few things:

    Org migration to 1 faction is a fact in the past few months.
    That faction just happens to be winning campaigns.
    The fact that some orgs on Balance keep up this facade that they have no idea why the current playtest is as rough for the community at large is disingenuous at best. 


    My personal opinion is that 3 faction campaigns in the current state of the game is detrimental to not only long time members of the community but new fresh faces to the game as well. I'm all about bringing back some Hunger Dome on Live for a nice change of pace.😍 Heck while we are dreaming I'd even take game breaking bugs where organizations can stockpile 10,000's of epic materials being addressed instead of whispered in Discord. 😮🤐

    We have a long way to launch. Still plenty of time for systems to change, balance passes to come, and adjustments to be made. 😎

    I hope "World Banks" are in keeps or other places where we craft, otherwise Crafters will hate you.
    Inventory management is already a full time job without a guild bank.
     
    Instead of this new fangled world bank.....could we have gotten guild functionality / guild bank?

    Actually... it is the opposite?

    We're putting in effort, time, and energy to learn CF. I'm just stating from my own perspective that Pre-Alpha accomplishments have little to no meaning beyond testing for the devs and hopefully pushing constructive feedback to them. If you were to come bragging about your beta exploits for any game it would be the same mentality. Big deal. World Records in Gaming have been officially recognized only post launch which is the metric and standard that I also personally apply 😀.

    World First Boss down during a Stress Test in World of Warcraft? No one cares. Come back when the patch is on live.

    That being said I respect those on Balance for the organization and effectiveness on the battlefield. I'm not going to just yell/cry about the obvious number difference, instead we'll try to come up with our own ways to counter this issue for now, learn and grow as a Guild, and continue to work with other organizations in WPvP.😎

    I'm not concerned with numbers. As the game grows so will the guilds and organizations.

    I can say I am primarily concerned with game systems that need major adjustments, balance passes that are desperately needed, and more of the game being fleshed out. We're still missing an entire class...

    Pre-Alpha is just that. Because we paid to play doesn't mean my expectations of HOW the game will work right now are going to change. As I've said a dozen times over, Pre-Alpha glory means nothing. What really matters is everything post game launch. I enjoy the fights with all guilds and look forward to giving feedback that helps change this game into a dynamic, hardcore, and fun throne war simulator MMO that I backed the vision of!
