    65 employee's is not small team and 30 million is not small budget. Not AAA funding of 50+ mil to be sure. For the progression they have made from late 2015/early 2016 game until today is what a small team of 4-5 could accomplish.¬†ūüėą¬†I think many of us know this to be true.¬†

    They forgot to add destruction, building, territorial conquest, risk v reward, different ways to play, deep character customization, and that players want to compete against one another not a scoreboard.

    Hey All,

    Just wanted to post some quick comments on mobile banking.  It removes the risk element of the game making for unengaging gameplay.  Having risk is what creates stakes which creates tension which is what engaging play experiencing are all about in pvp games.

    Hopefully this thread is seen by the powers at be and they're able to explain the game design rationale behind a mechanic that the vast majority of players hate with a burning passion of 1000 suns.

    I don't understand this post at all.
    This morning I pulled enough miners to create a epic disc and at least a blue belt, in addition to enough logger discs to create a blue logger. That was in 2-3 hours. Yesterday, I saw @Reginald_J_Black spamming general with offers to sell miners and quarrymen in stacks. 
    All the mats are going to crafters who can use them to create as many items as needed to get their discs. The biggest issue is that the crafters will have to spam out lesser desired items now to get the progression they want, rather than spend 2-4 weeks complaining about how war tribe gear is too good. 
    What's the issue here? That you'll actually have to play the game? This can't be an actual complaint, is it? 
    Want to make all this farming worth it? Take the gold out of forts, put gold in war tribes, and then nerf wartribe gear.

    <QUESTION> Do you have any plans to move away from the current "alarm clock" playstyle prelevant in Crowfall. Thanks to all the timers on everything the place is a wasteland populated by a few stealthers when some "timer" isnt active then its just a zerg fest when timers are active.

    Yeah try to solo defend a fort against an actual guild attack that isnt some random player or 2. Its not fun at all. Im really feeling a war deceleration system that allows defenders to pick siege hour and give them 24 hours OR SO to prepare, it puts sieges in control of the player and can even have a cooldown after a war a peace period of 3 days or so.

    Play a stealth class and gank players harvesting or alone, go gathering on your main account with combat and mining and try trade or sell ore and get crafted gear somehow, otherwise you prob want to have sadly another account just to maintain yourself with crafting. Ideally make friends who can gather and craft to fill in the gaps and sell the goods you gank.

    I personally like the Guinecean race but it starts to feel like these guys are great in every aspect of the Crowfall game and they have no downsides and thus, they are overpowered and very imbalanced right now. Here are the reasons why:
     
    Who is the best Harvester? You are right - the guinecean!
    a) the best stats: INT for beneficial harvesting, DEX for harvest crit chance, STR is not that important as you can always overcome it with your runic tools;
    b) invisibility - great escape. I simply can't have a Nethari harvester for example because if you are attacked by the bigger force you simply can't escape (or even 1v1 versus guinecean slayer you will have ~0 chance to survive);
    c) High damage: while harvesting you can also engage and kill people without fear because you will always escape if the situation will turn against you;
    d) You can also run caravans and get that extra 1 pip in the caravan mastery.
     
    Who is the best Crafter? You are right - this is the guinecean!
    a) the bonuses from the Guinecean stats will overweigh the racial crafting bonuses from other specialties, especially in the late game stage;
    b) ESCAPE - when someone engage you while you are crafting in the keep or fort, you have all chances to easily escape from the intruder because you are THE GUINECEAN!
    c) Dirge can wear any type of armor so you are not limited to wearing only leather, or mail... you can wear whatever you want;
    d) You can also run caravans and get that extra 1 pip in the caravan mastery.
     
    Who is the best fighter / ganker / dps? You are right again - it is a guinecean!¬†Is there any reason I need to explain this at all?? ūüėÉ
    Quick reasoning: DPS, Esccape, Mass stun with 4 sec cooldown, lots of bug mechanics and exploits (like the one where you can stay invisible forever), animation cancelling, ability to effectively make ambushes... and the like. Aaaaand you get the bonus for running caravans on the top of that.
     
    Furthermore, who is the best Cleric? who is the best Knight? support, tank, attacker? who is the best whatever... all this will be the Guinecean. You ask me why? 2 main reasons: compared to all other races, the guineceans have the highest Stats & Invisibility (which means great escape and the ability to ambush). Aaaaand you get the bonus for running caravans on the top of that.
     
    Finally, this worth a separate mentioning: the ability to burrow through walls in keeps and forts
    I'm not against it, I actually think that it's a very cool mechanics. But when it is combined with all other bonuses and benefits Guineceans have it makes them just superior compared to other races:
    a) you can get into enemies keeps and easily kill your opponents preventing them from crafting, being AFK in their keep and etc. (all kind of things);
    b) it increases you escapeability even more;
    c) You can sabotage enemy keeps during siege hours: get inside their keeps and while your enemies are busy with killing bane trees, with only 1 full group of guineceans you can kill 2 or even 3 structures inside the keep;
    d) With only 2 guineceans you can burst kill your opponents in 6 seconds easily, giving them no chance to survive even if they lost their attention for a few seconds;
    e) Guineceans slayers are ranged so you can hit enemies inside their keeps without being punished by the guards. For example, Pit Fighters can't climb the walls and can't attack players without being punished by the guards because they are melee and can't climb walls.
    Again, I would like to have this option on Guinecian slayers still because this is a very interesting mechnic. But the overall power of this race must go down then.
     
    TO SUM UP: as much as I love playing hamsters, it starts to feel like this race is very overpowered and imbalanced. It seems like the only hard choice when you choose the race and class you should create is whether you want to roll another Guinecean Slayer or maybe some other Race for some unknown reason (and suffer then). More and more people switch to guineceans because they are forced to do that if you want to stay competitive. Players really do not like to be pushed hard to something and many players I communicate with are very upset about this growing disbalance with the guineceans. It's sad for me to say that but I would like the guineceans as a races to be nerfed in 6.200 to reestablish the balance. As a suggestion: give the caravan bonus to Humans, right now they are the most disadvantaged race in Crowfall and they need a buff.
     
    Bonus: the only downside of the guinecean I can recall is that they could not jump that effectively on rocks, mountains and steep hills. But this is not relevant anymore with 6.100 patch because yo now can jump while mounted.
    P.S. Oh, I really sorry... how could I forget the much smaller hitbox and reduced visibility of guineceans because they are small! This was just unacceptable to miss that part.

    The siege timers just is a bad idea all around imo, there indeed should be instead war declarations(with a cost to the ones declaring) and allow the defending guild to preset a siege hour so it works for the defenders prime time with cooldowns between wars (2-3 days as a example). Could even add victory cards for kills in wars etc. Could even make it so if a much larger alliance attacks a smaller one the expenses is much higher for them to prevent just free zerging of all the smaller guilds. there should also be a maintenance cost for owning so many keeps which go up dramatically the more a particular alliance/guild owns that way they cant just cap most if not all keeps. This helps mitigate uncle bob from owning the entire campaign making it unfun for everyone else.

    There needs to be SOMETHING for people to do at random times when none of your guild/friends are on.  I don't want to always run solo in infected, sure it can be fun, but gets old fast. Open world pvp is more fun in groups. And I don't want to play a Guinecean just to be able to stealth and safe from other groups. And assassin is garbage.
     
    What else can I do? I have no interest in crafting, gathering also is boring solo, I enjoy it when we get a gathering party together and have the chance for some group pvp on the side.
     
    We need more content general, please!

    What has changed since he did his review? Visible mounts, player chests, alliances, and mass crafting? 
    My guess is those weren't the reasons people didn't stick around or gave so much critical feedback.
    IMO a marketing push shouldn't come until at least 6.2, NPE is finished, EKs function some degree better, optimization has made a noticeable difference, and of course bugs are under control some what. They should market the game or something very close, not an unfinished poor performing buggy version that clearly people aren't sticking around for.
    If you believe a significant number (or not) are going to purchase and stick around if they do a big marketing push, you must know something I don't and that doesn't match up with anything that has happened in the last 5 years, especially recently.

    There is a constant small playerbase since at least three years. Marketing is important to promote your product, but it doesn¬īt make people want¬†it. So, as long as the playerbase doesn¬īt grow at least slowly, I wouldn¬īt promote it. That would just burn the audience. First make it attractive, then do marketing.

    Please allow vassals and nobles to launch EK, it would make EK alot more viable and would just be a huge quality of life overall for everyone that uses it.

    Cancelling skills and getting its full benefits is technically exploiting an unintended mechanic.  It's not skill, it's just having the knowledge of which spells you can get benefits without needing the intended time delays the developers put in on purpose.  However i see no problems with cancelling out of combos that you do not want to continue with, or cancelling out of skills and NOT getting its benefits.  If a passive skill or addon trait to a spell is triggering regardless of the negated spell from cancelling, then it should be reported as a bug, because that is what it is.
    Calling people Boomers because they want exploits fixed is just ignorant.  If devs intend these things to happen, then its a tooltip change they may need to do (ie trigger on start of cast), but considering the line they just drew recently, it definitely looks unintended, so quit complaining that exploits were fixed and you cant be as "good."

    I never bought the animation cancelling as a 'skill' argument since a lot of it tends to be done by macro anyway (at least in other games).
    From a game play point of view, I think it takes away from the back and forth cadence of a fight. Again, if you're unable to react to what your opponent is doing and how he is attacking you, that takes away from the 'skill' of fighting. Everything just turns into some kind of Mortal Combat button mash. 
    To me there's also the dev side of it. If long, drawn out animations can just be cancelled, then I'd question why we aren't having snappier, quicker animations in the first place.

    Canceling animations so you can do another action is fine. like using block to cancel the third cleric lmb because it has a long animation. I take no qualms with that. Canceling an animation but still getting the full benefit of that power is just stupid. Like using block to animation cancel Illuminate, but still getting the HoT, that’s stupid. You cancelled the animation, so it should cancel the effect of the power.
