  2. While I like the idea, and the idea of giving alchemy more ways to be interesting, I feel like it's something that could easily have too much of an impact on economy. Right now the price of things is kind of natural, but adding a baseline value through alchemy to dust and CE could potentially impact value of items through artificial means. I think the simplest solution would be to have vendors have a gold price, dust price, ember price, or all. Harvesters do seem to be at a disadvantage, but it's also true that you're not actually "losing" anything, except maybe extra tools (which fully embody easy come easy go).   12. It's entirely possible that part of the balance is that there's limited spawns/a timer for refinable materials. So you can't run back and forth from a mine or quarry 24/7 and skip the solo/motherlode mining entirely. PvP can still be centralised to these mines or quarries, if they stay hubs for massive amounts of solo/motherlode nodes. Also @thomasblair, have you considered only being able to swap powers when in a keep/fort? I personally don't mind either way, but I'm just curious. Both have some implications.
  13. They tried to fix this in general with a floating target reticle that would move towards your actual target on mouseover. It was a neat idea, but needed more time to be properly implemented. Tighter hitboxes would have helped.
  14. Unless I'm misremembering, last time they removed a recipe (for fessor orbs, I believe), there were items left over in inventories. An item wipe would be required, if nothing has changed since. It's a bit of an imperfect system, and I'm not sure it'd help, considering there's a patch closing in. I'd say those knobs would be put to better use tuning numbers, rather than outright removal, if it's a problem.
  15. LMAO why? You have some ideas I can get behind but this made me choke on my drink. If you have low training and/or bad tools it'll take longer. If you have high training and good tools, it'll not take as long. If they ever do another pass on the passive trees, this could be something cool to have for late game/deep skill tree. Kind of like a leadership tree in gathering, but specifically for odd buffs like this. Last time I checked, all nodes have a 10 minute respawn, and you can get a pretty good loop in with that time.   16. Perhaps it's gone back to how it used to be. No survival tray and using tools for harvesting is context sensitive, and combat is activated by just using abilities, OR toggling. Honestly would eliminate a bit of clunkiness.
  17. I hope they can keep advantages and disadvantages separate from minors, having it at character creation like initially intended. I do like the idea of humans and half elves being able to nullify one, or it could even be as simple as just giving them more points to take advantages at creation. I also like the idea of stacking minors for new effects, but share the same concern. However his second idea of minor utility buffs works too, although it's a bit more boring.

  19. No I'm saying this because you're intentionally ignoring the fact that there are pretty dedicated testers who do indeed test regularly. Some tend to keep track of a handful of bugs to see if they've been fixed with each patch on test. I'm saying you'd know this if you went to those forums. Email is great for the showstopper exploits, which has happened a few times in the past. ACE doesn't like those bugs to be advertised on the boards.
  20. They're aware of some. A lot of bugs get pushed aside for bigger more pressing issues, even if they are reported multiple times. If you're actually concerned with how much testing is being done, I'd suggest looking at the bug reports and feedback forum. But I think I know how much of that you've done.
