Honestly delete the streams and just give us the list you are reading. Thomas is pretty good at reading, but I prefer the sound of my own voice.
You could then cut this stream in half and spend 30 minutes just answering questions. I believe everyone would prefer this.

I absolutely love what Billy did with the stats-at-a-glance.  Critical Hit is clearly a factor of STR and DEX.  No more looking it up - you can see what factors influence your stats.
I also love having the window out of the way.  I'm hoping that along with the slick, new design, we also get more intuitive item management.  Clicking on any item in any box should either do something (equip, move, open a modal) or give me feedback about why it isn't doing something.  e.g. "You don't have the specialization to wear that!"  "There's no available bag space!" etc.

This piece beautifully captures what it feels like to dominate in a PvP environment.  Well done, sir!

Artwork is seriously badass! If there was sometype of awards ceremony for concept artists, Dave would win in every category, I guarantee it!
You know you just wanted to scare us by making us think there wouldn’t be an update today. How long were you laughing as you hovered over the submit button?

The later it gets, the more I expect something amazing.
However, I highly suspect that amazing might take the form of Todd in another awkward costume.  Here's hoping @BarriaKarl is right!

(Almost) All of us want to play CF.
But I can wait until ACE makes it good.
I want CF to be interesting almost all the time, annoying never and exciting often; with the secret sauce that attracts and keeps a large, thriving player base.
Its not even close yet, but it really could happen here.
Watching CF being made can be interesting. For pros it should be highly instructive.
The real value in keeping us in the loop is twofold.
It keeps the backers interested, so we'll test CF and hopefully play it at launch, instead of just wandering off. The community hive mind contributes the needed elements of the "secret sauce " I mentioned, along with a lot of useless drivel. Even though these aren't CF's glory days (better not be, ACE), they're necessary steps along the path toward the great game experience we all want for CF.

Am I the only one who is exactly the opposite?  Watching the game get made is fascinating!  Everyone is in such a hurry to play.
As my good friend, Andy, said, "I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good old days before you’ve actually left them."

I agree with you on one point:  we know.  Why state the obvious?  Without concrete forecasts to add to it, it sounds like pure apologetics.  I'd rather wait for real news than wallow in an official declaration of timeline slippage.  Imaging what what that comment thread would look like.
Short Story:  A couple of weeks ago I pulled a cake out of the oven before it was done.  It sank.  It fell apart.  It was ugly.
Moral:  I'd hate to see ACE make that mistake.
If there's one thing we know, it's that the community will come crawling out of the woodwork as soon as there is real news.  Best to exercise care and caution.  There are already enough carcasses on this trail.

I don't even want to hear about a soft launch for next year until we see more actual progress put into the game for us to test. Until we have more of an idea how things are going to look like when playing the game after a hard product launch, I see no point even mentioning a soft launch. It's like putting the cart before the horse. Just doesn't make sense. Focusing on getting each system, mechanic, and gameplay element finished and put into the game with 1 or 2 extra design and development patches over it makes more sense than worrying about when a soft or hard launch is going to be.
Blazzen, I think a lot of folks are forgetting about this. Anyone with any small amount of product development and design experience knows that a vision for a product is just a bunch of ideas laid out that a team of people would like to see happen in its entirety. When reality sets in that vision changes a lot and reflects what reality is telling them. You've helped illustrate that point.

Todd has said a number of times that they won't release the game until it's ready. They've already pushed it back before to get combat right. I'm confident ACE will make the right decision.
But I do agree there's no way in hell this soft launches by the end of the year. Even Q1 2018 is pushing it at this point.

This needs to be discussed sooner rather than later. We all know this game isn't releasing till 2018 (earliest) and most of us knew it when you pretended you were going to launch in 2017.
We need you to say it because we fear you will rush your game out early before it is ready, not because we actually think you are releasing in 2017. If this game is launched even remotely close to the condition it is currently in, it will fail so fast no one will even look twice.
I would appreciate a more realistic timeline update far more than some of the other fluff that gets released (collectibles, game expos, Monster lore....)

Define Soft Launch or what you/the community in general was expecting by year's end.

I'm not expecting this game to be ready for beta test for about a year (feature complete, only bug fixes and balancing remain), and persistence would come at full launch or the very end of beta at the earliest.

@Scree  I "personally" respect the direct and transparent approach.  Totally OK with the scope creep and delay as well since i see it as overall good for the game.  Nothing wrong resetting expectations!

i dont see why people wouldnt just park an alt account in a fort [enjoying a larger base inventory size vs small local bank] and if it is taken when logged out they will be safely teleported away to nearest other spawn with no decay hit ;0
