  2. If it helps new players with picking their classes then its beneficial.

  5. I agree, it would kind of take away from the ranger if the assassin was as strong at range (even if its only mages)
  6. They should include in the lore how the half breed males either want to kill female fae or free the male breeders. Bro's over hoes! should be their battle cry. Kidding aside, there should be some strife between males and females. If a male half fae saw a female fae, they should try to kill each other.
  7. We need lore on the male's genitalia. What's its motivation? Is it mad because it not a "vag". This could be the darkest timeline. Just kidding nice work on consolidating assassin information. I'm just happy I get to be a male assassin if the stretch goal is met.

  9. You should remove the "entitled" aspect of your post. I explicitly paid for certain access so don't make it seem that I'm lucky that ACE chose me to be in alpha/beta. If I received an invitation to do testing then you would be correct. Edit: Just saw your recent last post about its a generalized beta testing post. I would edit this in the context of Crowfall. If you are going to maintain it then it should be explicit to Crowfall.

  11. ACE has stated they have a vision and I'm assuming their is a vision statement to go with it. I'm hoping they release before Alpha so our feedback can be based of if they are meeting that vision. It really irks me to test a game and I can't evaluate if their game is meeting their design goals if I don't know what said goals are.
  12. So after doing Albion Online(AO) it got me super concerned about what ACE's stance is on gear. AO got crazy gear dependency going on and to craft higher level tier gear and is seriously gated to larger guilds. I'm hoping ACE has a statement on their philosophy about gear in the vision. Does most of our coefficient/modifiers come from gear or from skill level? Item decay how does it work (Are they like magnets /jk)? Bank storage, is it tied to a player/guild controlled entity?
  13. You should include in the repro step to try to include video of the bug occuring and show the repro steps. There is no reason why youtube couldn't be used as a bug video repository.
  14. Ooops, typo, that should have said not bend their vision. My bad. Lol hell no would I want to work for the gaming industry again, ten years at Nintendo is enough. All I'm saying is coding and the work associated with can be shared. For example I know of a CF backer who is an AWS expert, he worked on most of the AWS API. I'm sure there is no one at ACE who knows AWS as well as he does. If ACE was to pose an AWS question I bet you he could answer it for free so ACE doesn't have to pay for AWS support. All I'm saying is the backer have a stake in this game. This is not some $50 game to us. I don't see why ACE can't leverage the backers diverse experience and expertise.
  15. I'm not saying they aren't. I know they have their vision and they are going to bend when it comes to their vision (which is good). Just from my previous mmo experience in almost all mmo's that have come out since 2001 that dev's and the players have never had a cohesive relationship. For example SWG CU update the dev's or management didn't listen and their was a huge fallout from it. The thing that I do see is that some of the kick starter goals are to hire x person. Why don't they crowd source the problem? They used crowd sourcing for money.
  16. So it was noted by Jihan that Camelot Unchained has put their UI code on GitHub. There has to be a way for ACE to be able to leverage the backers with developer experience. For example I wouldn't mind writing unit tests. I don't even need to have their code. Just tell me the behavior and I can stub out the unit test for them. Heck I will even do documentation and we all know how fun that is. I love what Camelot Unchained is doing. Allowing the backers pitch in is giving those backers a sense of ownership. I don't know about the rest of you but I want CF to be my home for a long time but if ACE won't let us help them (either by listening or active help) and then it becomes adversarial between the players and the devs. So ACE help us help you besides all the cash we thrown at you guys lol.
  17. That's an excellent idea. I'm sure there are plenty of devs in the CF community who wish they could lend a hand.

  19. So I don't know ACE monetization plan but I would suggest instead of a game store maybe they do something like the Unity Asset store. Instead of them coming up with ideas to make money build the game so players can create client side customization. Then other players can sell it on their market place and ACE can take a cut of the transaction. For example I will be playing assassin but I want to buy sounds for the Assassin instead of using the default ones. I'm assuming the number one thing to be selling is mods for their UI. I say let the mods developers earn a little cash for building a maintaining mods.
  20. Maybe it has a 10 minute cooldown period but that would mean what arrow types you have kind of determines what skills you have. Maybe a low chance proc on a crafted weapon would be better.
  21. It would be awesome if there was a rare recipe for silenced arrows that doesn't reveal position of the ranger.
