Oh, that's totally cool. I was just kinda confused because of the list. I will probably take the least popular crafting discipline to feel like a special snowflake, but I am not going to be a dedicated crafter.

What is the purpose of this? What do I gain from being on that list?

Hunger Dome is great. I can imagine it as a ruleset for large campaigns too, where not only the Hunger is coming, but the area gets smaller and smaller as time progresses.

I bought it and it made me use the new Steam refund policy.

Honestly, the game runs like poorly made socks, it takes more than 3.5GB of memory, massive FPS drops (not on the highest settings, just on medium in my high end PC) sometimes your character locks in place, monster AI is pretty bad, not to mention that half the time the game crashes when you try to join a server. I just was not going to play it in it's current state, and my recommendation is that you wait for it to be in a more playable state.

lol @ slave issue. The fact that was ever brought up and even discussed was mind boggling. MMOs of the future will have to replace polearms with pugil sticks at this rate.

Unme reacted to Felipell in Explorando Los Asedios De Ciudades
Hola!

¿Facil? No. ¿Posible? Quizas.

The simple dynamic of sitting down to regen added a lot of emergent gameplay to Shadowbane, and I'd like to see it revisited.

If someone was sitting down, it meant two very important things: their defenses were lowered, and they would not be able to move or attack until a standing-up animation completed.

It's very hard to have a not-completely-consensual conversation with someone who is standing up and ready to run or fight at the press of a button. You can kill them, but you can't negotiate with them (unless they're predisposed to negotiate); they'll almost certainly push buttons rather than chat. If they're sitting down though, you have a little bit of a captive audience- someone's much more likely to be willing to talk if their options to fight or flee are severely penalized.

This allows you to have much longer discussions at swordpoint which can lead to mutually agreeable non-violent outcomes - tribute, terms of departure, and so on- which would never happen in a game where a player can always choose to fight instead of talking.

Some of my very best Shadowbane memories are of encounters that started with the words "Fir'khanim SIT DOWN if lak want to live!" Please enable a similar mechanic in Crowfall so that I can make people take off their shoes and dance instead of just killing them.
