  4. Good points by everyone! Yea I see what most people are saying. I guess the best direction for crowfall to take is towards Tera and moderately paced combat that still involves skill, movement, dodging, etc.
  5. I agree. I think crowfall should have somewhat slower combat but still be dynamic in the sense of some quick movements / dodging and a variety of different abilities / skills and their effects in battle.

  9. The last thing they want to do is open up any arguments between different tiered backers whilst they are trying to promote and develop the game. I've seen issues arise in other kickstarters and it isn't pretty. Just wanted to put in my opinion. You never know what specific type of options they will have post kickstarter.
  10. I just hope its a balance of being dynamic enough with movements, like dashing and rolling, and controls, but not too static like standing around enemies and spamming abilities. I hope there will be some skill involved. Also hope there could be an aiming mechanism for shooting arrows vs click target and hit.
  11. I posted this in another thread but With it being pre-alpha and changes to be made, they still said they are heading in the direction of the battle system of Wild Star. I know some people are hoping that the battle system will be as dynamic as an action rpg pvp for example: This is also pre-alpha footage of a new game with Dynamic Action PVP. Personally, I don't think Crowfall will reach this level of Dynamic Action for PVP rather more Static in comparison in terms of movement and control. I think it would be awesome if Crowfall could be somewhat as dynamic but I don't think it will be. I don't mean to say it should be equally dynamic as the movments in the video don't fit with the style of Crowfall but just the general view on the movements and controls. When I look Wild Star, it's slightly more active than Wow but still on the basis of moving around and using a skill with a range indicator.I think it would be awesome if there were like different types of dash skills and different levels of quick rolling mechanics would help in terms of making the combat more dynamic. Do you think the archery system will be similar to having a target cursor and able to be shot while moving like in the youtube video above (time - 0:23) Of course, this is all speculation as they haven't really released much info on the combat system besides a few points. What do you guys think? I personally like a high skill capped game for pvp rather than spamming abilities and telegraphs.
  12. Yea Gigantic will be pretty awesome. I agree the skill-ceiling is too high but as I hope they strike a balance between not too static with standing there and spamming skills and not too fps-style. I said above I think dashing, rolling etc would add some complexity. Aiming for shooting arrows would be more dynamic than click target, auto hit.

Yea I don't expect them to go the FPS-style and super dynamic combat but hopefully not too static with just standing there and spamming skills with the hope of some movement abilities like dashing and rolling to add some skill involved in battle vs skill spamming.   15. But I mean why would they cry if they can remake the figurines to recall the mounts as mentioned in the update. They will be recoverable.
  16. I hope we reach atleast 1.5 mill by the end of the kickstarter! I think post funding on their website will be fine. I agree they don't need another kickstarter.
  17. For the VIP addon, if they did add it, they would have to take into account the pricing they put Length of VIP for each respective tier. As in 1 extra year of VIP would be close to the cost of the gold tier, else it could cause them trouble as many people have backed the gold tier for the benefit of getting the 1 year of VIP and not for the other tier rewards. They wouldn't want people complaining about having the kickstarter tiers and then having to back a certain tier for a certain amount of VIP only to find out after that they could have just backed the base game and gotten VIP separately. They have to take the cost of tiers and pricing into account post kickstarter if they did release such addons. There were talks of how the cost of monthly VIP to be 15 dollars.
  18. They have weeks free to test the ship. Just this past week they had a code, where you could test all the ships. Also they have implemented a system where you play and gain some form of credit where you can rent ships out temporarily to try out.

  20. On the side note, I hope this statement (p.s. I think EQ Next is doing PvE events like that? I seem to recall that from the announcement video.) wasn't sarcasm as I heard some of EQ Next staff team were let go and the game itself seems to be put aside for H1Z1 and for people who also enjoy PVE games.

An FPS And TPS mechanic would be cool, but if they do stick to the wild star gameplay, atleast in order to make it even close to challenging and easier to see, they should turn off ALL Telegraphics if not at the very most only have your own characters telegraph for your skills to be seen and no one elses. Agreed, it's not only distracting when there's a bunch of telegraphs but also not as challenging or fun.
  23. I'm having the same future envisionment that I had with star citizen of how awesome the game can be and how much potential is has! I really hope it lives up to the grand vision!
