coach got a reaction from Anthrage in A Crow has Fallen - Coolwaters
I just read his obituary and amazingly enough, we graduated the same year and I literally lived and grew up in an adjacent county in Tennessee to where Wes lived.
Small small world we live in and yet big enough to where we never met. I wish we had. RIP coolwaters

coach got a reaction from baerin in Did we lose quarterstaff forever?
seems during the stream I noticed the quarterstaff line marked through saying discontinued due to loss of Stalker archetype?
could/would no other class make sense using a quarterstaff?
sure wanted to get my Darth Maul on in Crowfall (and fail miserably) trying to whack people on the head, so hopefully it is just sidelined for a little while and not completely removed
or at least maybe let the Druid staff use some similar physical attacks
P.S. loved the move to MMO away from MOBA though with the Arch to Race/Class changes, kudos for the change!

coach got a reaction from dolmar in any game mechanics that discourage alternate crafting accounts?
looks like from what i have seen in the skill trees, alt accounts will completely replace VIP
ACE may look at VIP to give a little more incentive because as of now there is simply no reason to VIP if you stick to only one archetype for that account
other than being able to train your child tree promotion class simultaneously as the parent arch, but who knows if that will make it in the final

Translation: can you set up a place to where i can wait on crafters to come to so i can kill them and take their stuff because i hate gathering
Cmon man
Why can us PvPers just fight each other? And when the rare resource server is online PvP will increase no doubt

coach got a reaction from cloudfly in If you have passive training on and offline, incentive to play?
i REALLY like this, don't change the ingame benefits of dust keep them the same
but just have each dust orb subtract 10 seconds from the amount left to train on each skill training bar you are working on at the time
(or 5 seconds, or 30 seconds, etc, doesn't matter - was just thinking of the concept not necessarily the exact amount of time off training that would be optimal)
If you are training a tier 8 skill and need hours and hours for one point, grabbing ten dust orbs on your next 5 trees harvested is going to just knock off a couple minutes. This isn't enough extra active training to make a large dent in the passive training time, but just enough to encourage actually playing just one main - after a few months he will be slightly ahead (in that one area of specialization) of the fella/gal with 4 accounts
i'm sure the multi-account peeps may not like this idea (and I am a multi account user) but would seem a decent trade off
edit: spellcheck

coach got a reaction from JamesGoblin in Patch Notes: December 02, 2016
if gonna leave equipment at 2 deaths to destruction, can we at least implement salvage of broken equipment AND repair
doesn't have to be the final system used, a placeholder is fine

i REALLY wanted to also, but i am just staring at "invalid" access issues lol

coach got a reaction from Banjee in So I cant be a fighter and a crafter?
i like this
or even just allow VIP to train 1 general, 1 archetype, and any two others not in the same tree as either of the first two
so you could train 1 Gen, 3 Arch ... 2 Gen, 2 Arch... or like now 1 Gen, 3 Arch

coach got a reaction from JamesGoblin in Concerns and thoughts about multiple accounts?
Pathfinder Online, while failing on many accounts, actually got the passive training and active training just about exactly right
you got points passively to "spend" as you saw fit but you had to "unlock" an ability by actively playing somewhat
not enough to even be considered a small grind, but enough that you got "ahead" of the 100% passive alt account

coach got a reaction from vaevictus333 in Harvesting rates without pots are demotivating lol
i don't mind "critical failures"
it is kind of like back in the days of tabletop PnP when you rolled a '1'
BUT, saying that, it needs to be RARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
failed three straight times today trying to make a bow with all potions that would help craft already imbibed
the fail rate was 3% so that comes out to something like a 2.7 chance in 100,000 that you could get that RNG
i could even accept that if it was an awesome server record of fail, yet about 4 other crafters were reporting the same thing as I did on chat
so something is broken, critical fails need to be RARE but in the current testing stage I am actually MORE surprised when a weapon succeeds than I am when it fails
