Given how much they spoke about the Stamina bar in the combat chats I am guessing it will be close to the ESO style.  Which I am completely ok with.  Moving in stealth should have some negatives to it, slower movement, loss of stamina etc.  But I also hope they allow shadows and night time to play a role in stealth also.

I just don't see them building a lot of extraneous pet functionality.  Permanent pets are notoriously difficult to balance in PVP and generally pathing issues abound.  Of course I could be completely wrong but I just expect pets to be more of a fire and forget mechanic.

Arcane Archery got me thinking.  I really hope that Fletching is a crafting option in CF.  And I hope it is a specific craft only available to Rangers and Stalkers.  It should be something that can be done in the wild and not restricted to a crafting station.

If Fletching is a thing I hope that the type of arrow being used plays a significant role in combat such as range, speed and the damage type you do.

Arcane type damage should be attainable but should be very expensive and difficult to obtain.

    Thoughts?

Agreed,  Diversity is a good thing.  If you like the wild skins you should have the option for them in game.

Just wanted to add my two cents.  I played SB for a couple years and had large success with a dual wield dagger ranger using backstab.  I can't speak for the later years of the game, but my tracking abilities combined with stealth and some tankiness made it easy for me to counter/kill any scout that tried to jump me.  I was still fast enough to run from just about anyone and get back into stealth before the party could catch up.  I used the ranger to roam around and gank the gankers so to speak and I hope they allow for a similar archetype in this game.

Well I am not exactly new, but I finally took the plunge and pledged.  I wanted to back the devs as I think they truly do have a passion for what they are doing.  I am still not all that excited about the archtype I am most interested in only being a rat.  But I will take the wait and see approach

I'm preparing for Crowfall by pretty much not playing any MMOs. Certainly doesn't help theres none out now I think are worth playing anyways. Nope, just single player stuff and maybe some casual online FPS and such. But yeah think I need to detox from all these bad MMOs I've tried and be fresh and ready when it comes time to play Crowfall.

Long survey, but I dont mind letting ACE know how I feel.  As long as I get to kill carebears and make them cry, it will be awesome.  All I need are a small band of brothers to come kick over that sandcastle you are building and steal the pixels you are collecting.  If I get to take your cool hat or whooping stick and get to wear it afterwards, that is even better.

For there to be memorable events that you take with you from a game, there must be conflict.  You can fight the game or you can fight other players.  I like it when the greater rewards are from fighting intelligent opponents.  Even your boy Ernest Hemingway knew that, "There is no hunting like the hunting of man, and those that have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never care for anything else thereafter."

Most pvp games can not handle server wide battles or large engagements so you have to make do.  When I fight someone, I dont want lag to be the determining factor of who wins.  I also hate structured PvP.  If I wanted to play football or rugby, I would.  Though I do play rugby with big sticks.  *grins* What can I say, no broken bones this year.  Knock on wood.

Way to early in development to even think about a guild.  Unless a guild has been established and already has a core group from multiple past games it most likely won't make it to release.

I feel like they've got plenty of time to hit their December 2016 release date. This is a PvP only game and that makes a big difference. Most of the time and money spent developing MMOs is in designing thousands of quests, building zones, dungeons, raids etc. PvP in traditional MMOs gets a fraction of the time and resources that PvE does.

The worlds in Crowfall are going to be randomly generated. I'm sure that developing the world generator is going to take some time but nothing compared to making tons and tons of zones. Right now they are building the tools to help make things happen faster and even that is going much better than I was expecting.

The real reason why you think development is going slow is because you're sitting here constantly F5ing the home page hoping some new Crowfall news come out. We're all doing that
