  1. Not playing SWG more in it's prime is one of the biggest regrets of my life. Zero exaggeration here. My only exposure to it was about 10 minutes at a friends house. I wasn't in a position to play it on my own.
  2. I agree with this. It's gotten to the point that unless ACE straight up says something along the lines of 'this is against our rules' or 'we frown on this, but do what you want' or 'we hope everyone buys multiple accounts' we're all just chasing each other's tails. We're all playing to win, and we're all going to do it in our own way.
  3. It's probably in the UELA. No legal action required if you agree to it off the bat.
  4. An exploit is an unintended flaw in a system. It's not the same as cheating, or breaking any rules. It violates the spirit of the law, not the letter.
  5. I still don't really see this as being an advantage for my before stated reasons.
  6. Like it's been stated a few times here, there are no rules being broken by multiboxing. Of course, the smart money is on filling your ranks with dedicated players, focused on a single task. How far does the advantage stretch when you can't focus on the crafter because you're battling an enemy, or running your scout back because while you were battling, he was found and killed. That's more characters to outfit in gear, more gear to replace, more time spent running to the area you want your individual characters to. After a while, I wouldn't view it as an advantage.
  7. Just to chime in: The game is designed for one person to play one character at a time on one account. It is viewed as unfair to multibox because it is like the risk analogy. There is an unspoken agreement between us all that we respect the spirit of the game, and play the way it was intended to be played. Obviously, some people will not honor this, and that's fine. Personally, I don't want to fight and craft and juggle chainsaws all at the same time. I am content to focus on one character at a time, and maybe make some alts for variety. This doesn't mean I'm going to wag my finger at someone that wants to do it all. To each their own, no way of playing is better than the other, as long as you feel some satisfaction from the time you put into the game.
  8. for this to happen, a single person having 3 accounts would be considered the norm, instead of a fringe occurrence.
  9. I like the idea. I'm leaning more towards crafting for people doing the heavy lifting, but I will certainly get out there and get my hands dirty from time to time. After all, once I have defeated that mouthy wall, there will be players to try and avenge it.
  10. It depends on what you define as PvE. Is it player vs everything? Crowfall kind of has that. Personally, I like to think of it as Player vs Environment, and let me tell you, Crowfall has that in spades. I cannot wait to mano a wall with some unsuspecting keep. Fully destructible environment means I make my own PvE.
  11. This all just tells me that the name of the game is to join a solid guild and open up shop with them.
