  4. I'm kinda mad they straight up RIPPED Drow culture out of the pages of the forgotten realms and cheapened it to this extent. 2/10 bad lore is bad.

  6. Hey, dreaming is good! It would be really badass for sure. We all have things we'd like to see implemented that the budget won't allow for, and the devs feel the exact same way! Damn you real world limitations!!!
  7. Exactly. Sometimes making systems too elaborate really ruins what they were there to do in the first place, which in this case happens to be obtaining information. I can't think of an easier way off the top of my head to see generalized scouting information than a simple GUI overlaid on a map. Sure, it's not as flashy as some suggestions, but it's a hell of a lot cheaper and easier to implement on a small budget, if at all.
  8. By all means give us a Slayer class, but don't race lock it to the Guineceans. That would just suck sooooo much. I'm already insulted enough as it is with assassins being gender-locked for the time being. Don't make the slayer rat-locked, too. That's like throwing salt in a wound.

Why don't you just chalk it up to "My falcon yelled when it was over the areas my enemies were in, so now for five minutes I can look on my map and see the highlighted areas I know enemy players were near at that time."? Notice I said "Near". Pinpointing other players would be kinda OP, but getting a general area wouldn't be too bad. Not resource intensive, could be a 30 second channel or something like that. It would effectively be a server query for opposing faction members within x radius of location x,y,z and then output that to a simple highlight on the map gui.
  10. As stated above, they've mentioned something similar to what you're describing. While I think it has potential as something that could be a lot of fun away from the campaign worlds, I'm skeptical of land being placed on the table for grabs. We'll just have to wait and see what they come up with.

  12. That's fair. I mostly trust until they give me a reason not to. So far, ACE hasn't given me a reason not to. I damn sure hope they keep that up.

  14. I think we may be arguing two different things here. I was saying Wildstar was a prime example of telegraph overload, just as you were. Wildstar's animations are downright awful because they rely so heavily on telegraphs. It's clunky, it's ugly, and it's just plain bad. That's absolutely true. While we all have concerns about telegraphs becoming the "cop-out" for crappy animations in Crowfall, they've not said it will be. Maybe we should request another AMA or something so they can clarify their beliefs on what they'll be going with. Obviously budget management is still a huge deal, but with more free reign (and the assumption that they definitely want to build a game their fans want) comes the ability to tailor that budget in a direction that suits the desires of their players. If they go with heavily used telegraphs, I'll pick you up and we'll go violently wave protest signs at their front door until they stop.
