Greeble got a reaction from Scree in [Obsidian] Crowfall Stealth Operations
I really appreciate the design philosophy behind the organization of this guild and it definitely sounds like a good one to join! Good structure and layout please my soul, haha. One question though, will this be a strictly stealth squad guild or will there also be room for some full time crafters? I'm unsure as to which type of character I would like to play in Crowfall, as I like to do a bit of everything.

Please tell me that the Myrmidon will have stealth capabilities, because he seems to be my ideal Stealth Tank!

Just imagine a bull hiding behind a tree or in a bush and then charging out, ramming someone with his horns out of nowhere, and then drawing his weapons with a roar and going berserk! That's the type of character I would love to play!

Thank you JAH. I appreciate that. I guess I'm just impatient, haha. But I still think it could be better flavor.

A couple of threads down (5 as of right now) there is a thread with over a thousand views, over 60 responses AND responses from the devs.

While I understand you need to voice your opinion, I feel that finding information about the whys and hows of crowfall is pretty easy.

They are very open about their development and one of the last updates have focused on how to make a great game on a budget.

I really couldn't care less about these kind of restrictions.

Like archie said... if the other features don't convince you and this is what keeps you from pledging... well... rethink why you were interested in this game in the first place

Today, my step-daughter was drawing and coloring Pokèmon and Five Nights at Freddy's characters when she said she didn't know what else to draw. I told her to try the female Frostweaver and it turned out quite well so I thought I would share.

    Good morning everyone.

Got a rough sculpt going of a WIP of the All Father. Might like to do the other gods however decided I would start here. It would be fun to do a few more and when this guy is done I might select a few concepts of there's to model out and let ya'll decide. For now here's the picture .

Here is the list of everything that needs to be done to complete the sculpt.

    Refinements:

    Refine Hair
    Refine Armor Details
    Add Patterns
    Refine Gloves (finish sculpting)
    Add Pants
    Add Boots
(If left just as a sculpt Pose)

There might be a bit more and I don't have have a ton of time. I will update as I can.

I beg to disagree.  Bringing it back to SB the same exact spec played by equally skilled players will be handily won by the group in resource rolled gear vs the group in random rolled gear even if they appear identical.  Part of what I do well is wringing every last drop of advantage from template, group composition and gear.

    Sad OP is sad.

Sad OP is also woefully unaware of the crafting info released so far as well as the history of the folks developing the actual crafting system.

I'm reminded of a guy at a bar complaining that if the new keg of beer he just saw roll in is another keg of bud light then he's not gonna drink it cause bud light is watery and has no taste and what's the point of drinking beer if it's got no buzz to it and another guy slaps him on the back and says "bud light sucks!" and then there's a general bonding moment in the bar over how much everyone hates the new keg of beer.

Ya don't even know what kind of beer is in the keg.  The label on the outside says Kosterbrew and that's very far from bud lite territory in the crafting world.   I'll make you a deal - you stick around and check out crafting when we actually get to play and if it's not more than watching a bar load up I'll buy you an ale.

What makes a good character name anyway?

Should it have a middle-earth feel?
Or at least an other-world feel?
Or is something like InYourFace good?

Are well known names off like Sauron limits?
What about lesser known names, or names not originally associated with "people," like Mithrandir?

And for multi-word names, do you like capital letters (like "TheOne") or not (like "theone")?
    And if not, why not?

I've seen something about all lowercase supposedly being P2C (= play to crush? = shadowbane?).

Where I come from, three characters, all uppercase, was all you got!

Archetype is a race/class combo... i.e. the archetype is what you pick in order to pick your race and class.

I hope when I start a new campaign, I see a rat, I hit the rat on the head a couple times and the rat dies.

Then in the winter when I foolishly walk out into the blizzard, I hope I get surrounded by 500 zombies and I die.

I also hope there is a sand giant to train on people.

We're just bad at explaining.  SWG had a deep, indepth crafting system with many moving parts.  It seems to me when one of us talks about SWG it is usually about one aspect of it.  Which can lead to an unclear partial image of SWG crafting.

There are three distinct aspects/activities involved in SWG crafting:

    1) Gathering.
First you had to find the materials you needed to craft with. You did this with a kind of radar survey system which told you what the % concentration of what you were looking for was where you are standing. the higher the % the more/faster you could extract the material. Gathering by hand was slow, so you'd want to find a location with maybe 95% concentration and drop a harvester. All the while hoping it's not next to a Rancor nest. There were six resource types, not counting creature resources which had to be harvested from dead mobs. (not looted, harvesting was an additional step) and each of these had dozens of sub categories, which themselves had variable resource types under them. These resources where scattered out among all the worlds of SWG. The resources available changed at regular intervals (both type available and quality of material) Sometimes the resource you wanted did not exist at any given cycle. 2) Crafting
Of course you need to acquire the materials needed, and also an appropriate crafting station. There were, I think, 10 different crafting professions (after NGE only four?) Pick the resources with the most advantageous modifiers for what you were trying to building Build whatever sub-components you needed to build your item (none for a belt, several and varied for a house or a harvester) If you want, you can experiment when crafting an item, to hopefully get a better end product (the higher your skill the more experimenting you can do) Finally you have a finished product Or you could make a blueprint to mass produce an item (but you are locked into the exact materials you used to create the blueprint) Also you could change the name of the items you made when making them (for self promotion or quality references) 3) Merchant (or selling your stuff
Now you have to sell what you made! Set up a house/store. hopefully somewhere with good foot traffic Set up Vendor Machines/NPCs within your store (they require upkeep) Also you can dress them in whatever you feel is appropriate attire for your establishment. Stock (and restock) your vendors Set up floor displays of your merchandise (and make your home attractive because your customers will walk around and look at everything) Make a reputation for yourself so customers seek you out or message you directly. Now, this is just an overview from what I can remember. (it's been years for me since SWG)  There was definitely more to SWG Crafting than just this.  I hope this helps you when one of us refers to an aspect of SWG crafting without fully explaining ourselves.

I miss SWG Crafting, but I'm not looking for Crowfall Crafting to be SWG Crafting.  I hope and expect Crowfall to be it's own thing.  Learned from, and improved upon what came before.  And from what I've inferred so far it should be very enjoyable for me.
