    There is nothing to do during the night . So if you do not play at the active times then the game is dead and boring. The map and siege schedules were designed by Anglemar and Blazzen so of course they support it. IMO Ace caved to the -W- since balance streams and makes the most videos. It saves them on advertisement. Just my two cents.. uXa will be back.

    I personally dislike this fort/siege schedule as it only fixed a few minor things like back capping, and created a slew of new headaches.
    1 - yes night capping forts is dead.....bc no pvp allowed at 98% of forts lol, theres only one objective fort to fight over for 17 out of 24 hrs of the day.... in 6 zones......really, really, boring and anti sandbox feel going on.
    This also removes any strategy for map movement or control as you are literally forced and pointed to what you have to fight over or care about.
    This directly helps the faction with the more active player base as now they know exactly where to stack their troops and what they have to defend. (as admitted by most balance they are having an easier time keeping stuff capped)(reference scoreboard)
     
    The 5 man fort group now cant use geography and movement as a weapon to get around numbers, they are forced into non winning fights or, to not pvp and farm n craft to try to eliminate any numbers advantages with gear n vessel upgrades.
    Also now the “night capping” is just towers and gy’s, it definately still exists, as shown by wb roaming group doing towers last night at 2 am in marq with 7 dudes (not funneled to active fort bc forts are pointless still)
    This directly ties to why the campaign map is dead, pvp has no purpose for character progression or reward and you can make epics in gods reach and campaign temple and eks, why would any one trying to get geared up risk getting slaughtered when you have designed the game to have more safe havens than pvp locations? No one is on campaign because of this, it is by design advantageous to not pvp or be in pvp locations.
    2 - i agree on back capping being dead and this being a good thing, shorter fort timers might make the last ten minute strat be less viable if fort windows were only 30 mins? more people might d up for 25 mins over 55 mins etc.
    3 - reduced pvp siege burnout is now replaced with pvp boredom.
    fort locks and less towers have removed almost all campaign map participation, with a main reason being they are all still absolutely pointless for account/character progression.
    Why would me and a buddy go try capping towers when we could be farming up gear or vessels for guildmates or factionmates, there is no reward to pvp only risk and detrimental gear hits.
    The game in current format is minecraft with a 5 hr pvp window.
    4 - circle standing time is much improved, good job 
    5 - Respawn cap points have all the same problems forts n towers do, usually they have no strategic purpose bc, capping alerts enemies to the zone, usually not near a valuable objective, and also again they do nothing for a characters development. gy’s are pointless, besides in siege zones during 10-11 if you dont have a fort. 
    All in all im really surprised how vocal some are in support of these mechanics because it sure seems like its killing the pvp and world persistence. There are far to many hideouts for people to progress outside of pvp, and far to little pvp objectives with meaningful purpose that people care and want to fight for. Fights for just points on the scoreboard hasn’ t worked for 6 months. Make pvp have a purpose towards something and people will pvp, until then, this is what crowfall campaigns will look like.

    What works best for some guilds doesn't work for others. There isn't going to be a way to make EVERY guild/person happy.
    I think most of us agree though, the 6pm EST Siege on Saturday needs to go away forever. 6pm EST doesn't work for anyone with a family on the East Coast. #dadprobs

    Make capping outposts fun and rewarding please.
     
    As you know every zone currently has 25 outposts, 2 forts and 1 keep!
    In the war camps there are captains, chiefs and kings (I believe), which also drop loot.  (Captain, Boss, and Raid Boss)
     
    Instead of a fort going live a region of outposts should go live.  (10 outposts per fort)
    At each outpost add a neutral captain level boss that spawns 1X (Soloable, but takes time).  If you kill him, you get the same loot you would from a war camp captain.
    If you can flip all 10 of the outposts to you faction at any point the fort goes live the following hour.
    This creates a back and forth reason for taking outposts and will more likely lead to a small scale pvp engagement at all hours of the day.
     
    In the fort a neutral Chief spawns after 30 minutes and is vulberable for 30 minutes.  It drops chief level loot.
    This gives time and a reason beyond points for the defenders to take the fort.  It also gives a reason to defend the fort, as anyone can kill the chief.
     
    If at anytime you don't own the keep, but you own both forts in the zone it will trigger a siege that evening.
    This forces people to play the game at some point during the day to force a siege, and also prevents sieges from happening every night.
     
    When the bane tree spawns during the siege a raid boss should spawn to defend it.  Another one should also spawn in the tree room to defend it.
    Just an easy way to add loot to the pvp cycle.  I would prefer some kind of resource mine or something, but you guys might run out of money before you can code that!

    as for the real news I think ace forgot they have a testing base itching to test the stuff they need tested. with no actual way of knowing what needs to be done. aka a freaking list of ability's .specs mobs w/e  … lets get this thing rolling along .And 2weeks of silence on their behalf is disheartening

    There's so many abilities and interactions that dont work or are bad/have always been bad before we even get to stability of the game.  They continually show me that they do not have a grasp on the fundamentals of their game.  It's very frustrating.  I wonder how long this game can continue simply on it being a fantastic idea.

    Training in your particular harvesting type, food buffs, potion buffs and leadership buffs are more than enough to keep you at 5 pips even through winter.  I would never recommend harvesting if you cannot get to at least 3.
     
    They once told us that this was the time that a campaign was supposed to transition into PvP, but it doesnt, there's nothing to do but circle stand and DC during sieges.
     
    Take @dolmar 's guild uXa, they are running around on Order alts, even though they are Chaos, flipping outposts to Order to deflate the capture bonus then coming back around with their Chaos mains and turning them back.
     
    So your choices are:
    PVE grinding, Reduced harvesting, DCing in a Siege, Exploitive capture points manipulation or Running around trying to find Chaos to fight who are running around trying to avoid fighting you.

    Both things are true, and neither is all that healthy for siege in its current state.

    No, this is a lazy way of trying to make a whole bunch of weak/useless minors viable.
    the main reason those 4 are being so commonly used is because they don’t take up passive slots. Not because they’re the best choice. 
    Honestly it’s just going to make a small handful of generic builds. Further reducing the customization aspect of character building. The races that suck will still suck.

    When I drink whiskey like that and I have a macro going and I go to minimize screen to do something else all of a sudden im sharing porn hub links on Facebook for my family to see. 
    Its just not pretty the things that happen when Im drunk macro'ing.

    On number one, perhaps the effect of not paying upkeep, could be more vulnerability windows.
    If your not paying your upkeep, then you can be attacked more often.  You can never pay enough to keep the location fully protected, but if you don't pay the upkeep they could be made to me easier to flip.

    This isn't a think we should really address until Dregs is available. At which point many of the organizations swinging faction balance will have moved to their natural environment.
    At which point, we use the same population balancing mechanism as most competitive games: You don't tell the game what team you're on, the game tells you.
     
    Stop letting people choose their faction.
    Que people to the lowest pop faction on joining, count the first member of a guild that joins a faction as the entire guild joining that faction, automatically join whichever faction your guild has already joined if in a guild.
    People can not stack factions if they lack the ability to even try.
    People that want to form long term alliances with other guilds should go play Dregs where that is the point of the game.

    Ballistas need to be toned down or reworked. Between the guards and the ballistas its just too hard for the attackers to take a keep without overwhelming numbers (something neither side has). 
    i would say 270 degrees like PaleOne suggested in the thread i pulled this from as well. or just not able to fire inside.
