My thoughts.. Essentially crowfall is boring. Its a grind for sake of grind. Its forced pvp. It is not a living breathing universe. At this rate it never will be. It is a hybrid MOBA and MMO. Its supposed to be a throne war you can win that defeats the uncle bob cycle. It has gotten pretty far away from what it was supposed to be.
    No territory control
Shadow bane had free building, kingdoms for territory control and hand shake sieges.
We don't even really have supply lines or territory control. "conquest points winning cards is not territory control its a function of winning a MOBA match."
Its zerg v zerg with out anti zerg mechanics. Blobbing up and smashing together is not strategy.
People ask me what to do in game all the time . I have to tell them pvp or harvest.  That's it. nothing in between really.
I know Todd said in a live stream he is look at a shadowbane style map set that never ends and is large enough to make it a MMO.
There is still time to right the project and get it back together. But, its getting shorter and shorter as their funds run out and they are forced to launch a half created game.
Lets keep our fingers crossed especially the people like me that have invested YEARS into this concept.

This is why I don't log in regularly anymore.
This is the last 3 builds going back to October:
6.200 - Talents rework, Domains introduced, other stuff
6.300 - Removal of passives, other stuff
6.400 - New lobby, new vessel system, new attributes system, other stuff
I'd say on the balance that the changes represent forward progress. But what has caused me to lose interest in the development of crowfall is that in the last 6 months (and honestly probably much much longer than that) there has been no real discussion on making the game fun. Especially with the last 3 builds the changes have made the game feel even more like a chore. All activities feel like a grind for the sake of grinding. Practically all modes of gameplay lack depth and entertainment value.
Just using harvesting as an (admittedly strawman) example, what makes me want to strap on a meat suit and wade into a pool of sharks? So I can punch some rocks and trees? Is this supposed to be fun gameplay? Honestly, Crowfall feels like a labor and logistics simulator first, and a fantasy RPG... fifth? It's a fantasy HR simulator.
There hasn't even been real discussion in the Q&A session about this. It was rather disheartening when 'revamping' outposts was discussed and the solution was add loot chests. When people in chat groaned and said please don't do that, the response was basically "I don't see why chests don't solve the problem." There doesn't seem to be a realization on the dev side that what passes for gameplay right now doesn't cut it. They've said they're "looking" at territory control, but territory control isn't going to magically make the game fun. It'll be another high-level game system that is nailed onto the roof of the house without pausing to inspect the crumbling foundation.

Based on the full wipes we've experienced in the past, the only items we can expect to survive are account rewards.  These are things like parcels, buildings, and mounts that either came with our pledge packages or were purchased from the Crowfall store.  Additionally, any special participation rewards like badges, skulls, tankards, and all Crow Rewards will be restored.  You can check your account rewards by clicking Rewards under your Account Profile.
As far as I know, everything else not listed above will be gone after the wipe.

I mean do you just listen to the zergs in this game ??? this was a way cool statue, pretty much the only anti-zerg mechanic there was < since you obviously do not know how to add in an anti zerg mechanic > and what do you do.... get rid of it. THAT right there is the sound of you sticking your heads up your collective asses.  Do you just want clump fighting in this game ? " everyone stack up ",  now aim that way and we will just clump and zerg and boom game over. With this statue, it made EVERYONE spread out, which made it way easier to call targets and actually see the person you wanted to hit, not just a blob of red names on top of each other. The ONE time this head was used, was the most fun I have ever had at one of these keep fights. It kept the battle fluid and moving. there were tons of splinter fights going on to the left and right of the main fight and it was pure havoc all around. In other words... it was fun. It took the zerg blob and made them move around which didn't cause blob on blob but more strategic fighting. AND of course.. you take it away. When you get a clue let us know...

I don't have major issue with siege timers as they prevent ninja raiding.
My issue is that is the extent of PVP content outside of ganking people doing PVE or random fights with no value.
Game lacks conquest/territory control mechanics, capturing POI has little value in the moment, there are no alternative ways to trigger a campaign ending, and the few objectives to do (cards) leave little room for player choice.
If this is going to be called a "sandbox" then players should be able to choose how and why they play.
Too much is dev directed. Too much focus on points on a leaderboard and not the actual game experience itself.
Going back to map size, the world building system and art assets they have give very bland results. Each map looks pretty close to the next. Too much is open space without chokepoints or other ways to make use of terrain. Despite almost every other MMO ever being able to do water in some form, apparently it is too hard for this team.
Much rather play the same ~14 RvR maps that DAoC had over years then endless versions of what this game is running. I care less about the number and size of maps but how they actually add to gameplay be it strategy, immersion, or travel experience. The procedural cool factor wore off years ago. Don't see why they don't take the pieces they have an make actual high quality custom maps. Maybe then they could do more biomes and actually make the world feel "a live" as they claimed it would become a long time ago.

Keep cramming too many people together in a small space, and guess what, nobody will show up to play.
    Oh wait, that's already happening.
This is clear from the fact that most of the game population is in GR/Infected, including a large portion of the players in the "dominant" guilds. This is because everyone who steps into dregs and gets killed, immediately either jumps back to GR/Infect, or quits.
You want to know why it's empty? It's not because it's too big to find anyone, it's because nobody is there.  You can't find anyone in a 10x10 room if it's empty.

It reminds me of the STNG episode where the ship keeps shrinking and people keep disappearing, but nobody remembers those that are gone.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remember_Me_(Star_Trek:_The_Next_Generation)
Force the option of "jump back" out by closing people off from GR/Infected without first fixing the "why they leave" problem, and more will simply quit.

uXa lost our keep last night.  It was a fun fight and congrats to HAX, Dis and W on their new keep.  This post has nothing to do with that loss.
This last campaign you could say was bigger than most, but only because ACE shipped the Euros and the Russians to their own servers.
But why were only 4 keeps taken this entire NA campaign?
This campaign had 4 keeps go live on one day, and 2 each on the other 2 days and 10:30 at night.  Until handshake sieges it isn't that bad a setup.
However there is something seriously wrong, for a 2 week campaign you would think people would want a keep.  But in this case only 4 keeps were taken.  If I remember correctly Cyber Bullies took a keep and lost it in spring.  (And no one re-planted).
    Why don't people take keeps?
    1.  It's a huge investment to build a keep.  To re-build one every 2 weeks can get rather tiresome.
    2.  If you are on NA and not part of the zerg that seems to consist of 70% of the server you are possibly wasting alot of effort.
    3.  When the campaign end your keep just disappears.  WHAT THE custard IS THAT?

What I think needs to be done for next campaign (since ACE only seems to want band-aid fixes to territory control)
    1.  Remove banks and rez shrines from all zones and keeps.  This way people can take a keep to build their own.
    2.  Allow people to res at their Tree of Life.  This is what a tree of life is for, to give you life!!!!!!!!!!  If you are worried about defenders using this as an anti zerg mechanic, than increase the respawn timer.
    3.  Put a Tree of Life and a bank in every fort.  This way, a small guild can take a fort and can live out of it for a day.  Guilds can also use this as a forward operating base for sieges.
    4.  Make the zones 5x's as big.  Do not increase the number of outposts and god statues!  Put 4 keeps in each zone and spread them out.
    5.  Put a scroll by the war table of a keep, and if a player interacts with it, their recall takes them there.
    6.  Pre-build the bank in all keeps.  Lock them into level 1 to disable mobile banking.
    7.  Pre-build the caravansary in all keeps.
    8.  Allow neutral players to res and bank in a neutral keeps.
    9.  Make the walls of a fort only take damage from siege weapons.  Allow the guards to be levelled up so small guilds can have mini sieges!
    10.  Remove the chests from forts.
    11.  Put the Timber, Boulders and Ingots in the outpost chests.  Remove crafting resources from outpost chests.

the reason for larger map size is to reduce the domination faction zergs have when they can capture everything since it takes 5 minutes to get anywhere it leave no place for smaller guild which usualy make up bulk of the playerbase ur loosing those guild so quickly that join.

It should favor the defenders, they have a lot to lose... what do the attackers have to lose? Some siege? Until attackers have to pay to attack and not just wait for a siege window it should favor defenders.

Removal of the skill tree (Which I new they would at least "Change") becasue it "sucked" so bad - but it made it a more "grindy" game that I am looking for now and was back n the time when I started. I work at least 50 hours a week I have been pretty much the positive guy though most of the changes - but I think I have finally fallen into the camp where I think this game might end up going from "Niche to just bad" VIP - lol.....really - let's not go there. It also took away account uniqueness - it removed alot of limitations and choice Should be adding - bring back weapon mastery disciplines and strengths and weakness.  I heavily invested during Kickstarter and 2015 and paid a lot of $$ for some pretty lame housing. I was hoping that we could at least put up our assests to go against others (Call them Private campaigns) who willing to do the same Tracking was supposed to part of this game and I have not heard anything now in years........ and This type of Play was the "Main" reason I signed up for it...... that and minimal grind.  RISK,REWARD, Hard Choices, little grind, Full sandbox economy, vast chr devolopment through hard choices etc (Shadowbane was better from what I remember)......... all seems to be disapearing from what I signed up for.
Of course, not all bad, I am betting a lot of the change will bring in more players than it loses (hopefully)
I was hoping for more branches of the passive trees:  Tracking, stealth, mount taming, seige specialist etc etc................ I was hoping to see all these come in ....... of course you would have to invest in them a lot to offset "Power" or something......... but that was what I wanted - "Tough Choices" - I don't feel it all anymore and not feeling anything here has a reason to keep me playing.  I keep looking and the only reason I am even remotely still here is because my Son still likes it and there really is not much anything better out there better for a MMO RPG PVP Sandbox Game.
My Son jumps on the community "Hype of the week" stuff all the time; wich I continously have to re-level set expectations. Actually already too long and would need a speperate thread easily here.
    Sorry,
This was not very well thought out, so probably set myself up for a lot of trolling (Lucklly I don't care) I just figured I should post this as I did not see anything like it easily viewable but know through the years a lof of us were discusssing a lot of the above.
I have not given up 100% but I am looking for something else that has to better than this.

    Free building!
It’s 2020 and you can’t make games anymore without free building!
We already kind of have it in our EK’s, as certain parcels only allow certain types and amounts of buildings to be placed.
    Free Building your guild City!
Since the guild city is basically an ek this will be easy to code.  Your starting city parcel will have a certain amount of wall slots, building slots etc...
You may place these building blocks in any way you wish!  Want to build just walls surrounding a tree like in shadowbane!  Go nuts!
Free building on territory out in the world!
Some parcels out in the world will allow building on them.  Say you want to build some walls around an important outpost!  This is so people need to use their siege equipment on a day to day basis!

Boss monsters should be taken off timers.
Put a meter on the camp, visible on the map. Killing mobs increases the meter. Filling the meter levels up the camp. Level it up to 3, captains, 5 chief, 10 king, kill the king, camp resets.
    This does two things:
    1. Requiring players to remain and farm the camp means combatants must be present in the world to work toward boss mobs. No more sitting in your keep until the timer goes off.
    2. Making the meter visible creates dynamic pvp hotspots, allowing players to either work the camp themselves, or watch the meters to swoop in on the farmers when a rip target is imminent, making all farming a significant PvP risk.
