    I haven't circulated the boards in what feels like a decade, but trump is triggering all the sjws, shills, and berniebots so I had to jump on the train. "overwaifu" my custard sides. I haven't been paying attention to /vg/, last time I played a game with anyone over there was a bunch of /b/fustilarians and I'm surprised I didn't end up contemplating life with a gun in my mouth. Not sure why I expected any different though. Going to be a good week for gaming, there's TW:W and the GTX1080 releasing too. "fustilarian" is censored. These forums never surprise me. I'm sure the next time I come back here we'll have drop down menu responses.

    Yep, gearing up for that. We don't have a whole lot of people interested like we did going into BDO. Maybe a dozen at this point, but we played the beta and it's something to blow time on. Until then just posting awoo's on /pol/ and making america great again.

    I still don't get why he didn't force you into bumfights to pay for your room and board. I'm sure his car smelt for weeks after he picked you up on the side of the road. LOL didn't he tell you the wrong McDonalds and left you waiting for like 3 hours. Guy had to be contemplating hard on bringing you back to his house with his wife and kid.

  10. Was this posted in the right topic? This doesn't seem to solidify any position on your changes stated in the OP, but runs completely counter to them. I mean, this all reads good, and sounds good, of course; but this isn't necessarily the path you have taken. If your design philosophy is "high risk = high reward" or "skill over grind", then why was the economy dumbed downed to a currency system with an artificial floor? Does trading and finding competitive advantage based on the skills you decide to focus on or the materials you decide to gather or produce and being able to judge the fluctuations of a barter economy not equate to high reward or higher skill? It's not a hard system at the base level, yet those who excel at mastering a floorless, fluid economy reaps the benefits. What about setting grinding spots for materials and mobs within the safety of your eternal kingdoms by placing spawners? Does this philosophy fall in line with high risk equates high reward? That's the most recent design change and seems to cater towards the more casual spectrum and doesn't fall inline with #1 or #2. Those are just two examples from the OP, the rest seems to have been corrected by others in this thread, yet your response is little more than a wave of the hand. It seems like everything said by yourself, GW, and Pann are just justifications for design changes against what was originally stated at the beginning of 2015 because of being stubborn. It finally took several months of testing to finally say you were wrong. I get it, design changes happen, but it definitely seems like the direction is the same and maybe a different approach is needed...instead of padding numbers on the front page and acting like the community has been running just fine.

  14. I see the white knights are still here and thriving, ravaging any topics or posts that have a shred of reasonable logic with conjecture. Courant has been an abundantly helpful and supportive member of this community since the beginning, a lot more than I, or anyone else in this thread. I expect more softies and fanbois to turn on their own... the real PVPers have mostly left the board, the "toxic community", and yet it's even worse off now than it was then. OP brings up a good and fair point. He was so fed up with Crowfall he announced he quit after the last announcement, but instead of just leaving it in the dust like most of the members here (evident by the fact we're averaging a little over a hundred posts a day here now with almost no new faces, even with a semi-active testing schedule), he decided to come back and point out the obvious slope of design changes that has happened since kickstarter. Before I sound all doom-and-gloom, changes in design direction is inherent in game design, but the fuss here isn't about changes themselves, but the direction in which they're going. I'm glad to see this has reached a whole 2 pages of discussion, though. Posters, like above, are always my favorite. "Guys, it was only a small change, stop blowing it out of proportion" when all evidence in OP points to a snowball effect of changes that will eventually get to the direction you end up not liking. That is, of course, if you're an oldschool PVPer looking for a niche MMO to fill a void that hasn't been filled in almost a decade. Comments like yours are what enables developers to turn their games into poorly made socks, even if it was benign. Of course they're not going to come out with radical game design changes, they're going to ease into it as it goes along and see who sticks around. You didn't just go straight to fourth base with that chick from the special needs class in high school, you had to ease her into it, right? I'll be playing this game, there's no doubt in that, I've already spent the money. I'm honestly ashamed of myself for getting caught up in the nostalgia and hype, so bravo to Tyrant and JTC for hooking me in and pulling the dollars out of my pocket. This game, at this point, just looks like another stepping stone to the next MMO like everything before it, and not the long-term [niche] PVP game everyone was so hyped about. The shift of this community and the game's development will be used as an example on future forums, I'm sure. ...but this is just the echoes of someone in the halls of a dying community for a game already one foot in the grave. Prove me wrong though, please.

  17. I support this and think it should be thrown in General forums since it's not linking back to TD (link in title can be wiped). My original idea was Carebear Crowfall Christmas Contest but it got aptly rejected...regardless...good luck to any contestants. I'm hoping for some "unconventional" entries.
