Put me down as a butcher. I want everyone who sees me kill them to know that their organs will not go to waste. Also, I want them to know that I will devour their heart for it's courage. It's sweet tasty courage.

I agree with this. Are you guys currently playing any other games until Crowfall launches? Been out of the MMO scene for awhile, but I am looking for a good group to run around with. Been playing MMO's forever, from DAoC, to CoH/CoV, Darkfall, Wow, etc.

I agree with this. I was a fun night! If anyone is reading this looking for a guild to play with in Crowfall; do yourself a favor and apply like I did. There is a quick and informal application process in place to make sure that you are a mature gamer. From my experience so far, this ensures that everyone you see in the guild is someone awesome enough to play some games with. These guys get my seal of approval!

Yes we are all excited for it. However, I know that we are all secretly more excited that we can feast upon the organs of our prey to gain greater strength! Also remember to eat their heart to gain their courage. Their sweet tasty courage.

I can second this! Tight-knit forum of friends now, deadly force in the campaign worlds in a few months.

I agree that having the vessels as items is amazing. I love the idea of them being like ships from eve as it allows you to switch between classes whenever you are able without needing to logout to the character select screen (which could have used the same internal skill system but with pick a character slots). It also serves as a balancing point by only allowing so many of your skill points to be allocated at the begging of a limited campaign until you start finding better parts for your vessel. An overall awesome system in my opinion.
P.S: Now rock'in the Ascendance tag

I agree! I also like how they are planning on doing major point of interest like lumber mills. I am really glad they went simple and just have the PoI generate materials that anyone nearby can gather. This creates attacks of opportunity by discovering the update ticks for when resources are ready. You may then be able to stage ambushes against other looking to take the resource. I think this creates a much more dynamic and exciting environment that PoI's that you need to capture and control.

I'm excited that they are implementing crafting into the next big update instead of just resource node capture points that they talked about a few months back. I am fine waiting a few more months for the next testing window if it includes a much bigger picture of the game. This way, we can start to play something that resembles actually Crowfall sooner. I find this better than the game taking longer so we can have a few more temporary test environments. My guess is six months until the game is in a near completed beta state. What do you guys think?

That is an oddly specific request there Diz. Is this a common occurrence that I am unaware of? It might just need to become a tradition now!

I agree! I like how much utility it has instead of just dealing some damage. I can't wait till we are taking down other guilds with these!

This is really good news. Crowfall has definitely had a lot of hype for being so early in development. Most MMO websites still list Crowfall as the number 1 upcoming MMO and we still have very little info on any sort of release; other than their plan for a soft release. The best part is truly how modular the game is which will mean there will always be new strategies to develop in campaigns. I'm excited to be on this hype train into launch with you guys. Defiantly a good group of people here.

Guild Fair officially over and I think it went very well.

Met some interesting characters to say the least and I know several different guilds talked with each other on some of their
plans within the game and what their opinion is on several elements.  Was impressive to see so many members of the Crowfall
community show up for a game that is only in Alpha... if this kind of pace keeps up, Crowfall will be a monster come its release.

I think there where also potential alliances in the making while in the Discord channel.  Will have to see what happens.

I feel like while the walls have a lot of bricks / pieces and physics attached to them, I think the tunneling should work on the basic voxel system.

Just allow you to take chunks out of the ground and leave it pretty static. Trying to create a whole ground level in the same level of detail the castle walls would be nearly impossible. If they went with the type of voxel they showed in kickstarter, and the FAQ, then I think it would be achievable and at a level the players would enjoy. No one wants to be digging a tunnel and constantly getting cave ins. The chunks disappearing, not breaking down and sitting in the tunnel, would also help in the digging process.

TLDR; Use the original voxels for the ground, doesn't need to be as detailed as the structures.

would be nice to know what order we might be getting hinted releases - with bonus approx timelines. but i know unlikely to give any 'binding comments' of this nature

e.g. will summer and beyond be like:

Back to SP with Druid and Balista

    Myrm - hunger dome? SP?

    Throne war? basic crafting/discplines/vessels?

    Templar?

    Assassin? (+ranger hide)

    Forgemaster?

    etc

p.s. are we always going to return to dome, then SP, then throne war with all new archetypes?

will dome/sp be retired with throne war?

will a future 'beta' be expected to include all archetypes? most crafting?

    etc

Thanks for all the feedback everyone!  As always, we take your concerns and suggestions seriously and I'm happy to hear your thoughts on the direction here. We felt that it was important for the female Knight and Legionnaire to reflect the designs of their male counterparts more closely because it fits with the tone of these archetypes. The forms of the females will be different from the male's however so naturally the armor isn't going to fit or look exactly the same. Their silhouettes will be distinctive and I think once you all see these in-game you are going to like what you see.  As a female in the game industry, I'm really sensitive to seeing women poorly armored for the sake of sexiness. That being said, we chose to make the Druid a little more provocative because I do feel like there is a place for that as well. She's a ranged mage class and so would not necessarily be expected to be as geared up as a Knight. The male as you can see is also equally scantily clad. The goal here is to provide a variety of options for players to become a character that reflects something appealing to them. Do you want to be a Brienne of Tarth or do you want to be a Melisandre or Khaleesi? I think there's room for this kind of range in Crowfall and we think you are going to find something that suits your sensibilities.

I agree. I like having all of these ways to ensure that no two classes are 100% the same. It seems like having 6 skill slots defined allows for most classes to act akin to one another (which is nice when you are fighting them), but differ in exact use. Best of the same classes world and customizable classes.

More layers to add depth to building our characters is always appreciated. Seems like a fairly simple but far reaching mechanic, IMO.

I've just been checking out the new Video ACE posted on creating the poster of the Myrmidon. I'm thinking I need to have one of these as a secondary to my Druid vessel as it looks so sweet.

In my view the greatest feature of Crowfall is the Vessel system, so if you want one you can have one either to focus on or as a secondary play style.

I agree with this. They already want PvE to be hard with minimal enemies to grind. A few big guys hiding or found just out of view would be a good way to get some of the better crafting materials for making stronger Vessels. I like the 10-20 numbers stated above. Just enough that you have a medium to large group to take on. Where you most likely have a crafter who could make some sweet body parts or runes with it. They don't need to be 20 minute raid bosses. But a 5 minute fight with 10 people is not crazy and still possible with a limited budget. They could always just do the old gaming sin of a bigger HP pool and more dmg for difficulty instead of dodging crazy attack patterns. Easy enough and adds another POI to look out for.

Randomly generated randomly place mini-bosses would be fun will special crafting item drops. like for instance you and your group is heading to a castle or hold off in the distance and on your way you run into a mini-boss hiding in a forest or in a mountain area where a boss jumps down from a hi up ledge and surprises your group . If you stick them in places where people know where they might be people will always head to thoughs locations to grind resources. It would be much cooler if there just attacked you out of now where.
