It is not turned on in any Campaigns right now, we just needed an Engineer to look at why it wasn't working correctly.
In terms of invulnerability we expect to turn this on for this testing phase, because otherwise too many new people are quitting on login. (because some of you can't help yourselves and repeat kill them on respawn.) Ultimately this is getting in the way of testing.
Eventually we intend to replace this effect with AI Guards but they aren't ready yet.

i don't get the issue, i mean its not like its a small map like say in counter strike or another team shooter, if they want to hide in their safe zone let them, meanwhile we'll be hogging all the good resources, poi's and other goodies NOT in the safe zone.

I have, but they didn't have objective based PvP content like CF will have. That's were the focus should and will be, not lame zone dancing and spawn camping.
Sorry but just seems like you're freaking out over nothing.

Vonpenguin got a reaction from JamesGoblin in (OOC) Lore discussion
The issue here is that it's less order vs chaos than it is preservation vs sacrifice. It's also why the angry warlike goddess everyone fears is order, as is the "god" who's entire existence is to repeatedly die in battle for all eternity. While Kane, who's in mourning and probably very "f it all" and the goddess of the very orderly element of death's inevitability are "chaos". It's more poor naming conventions than the factions themselves being grouped poorly. The names are terrible but the lore behind those two factions is great. Balance kind of confuses me since it's two very hands off gods and two dead ones but the example campaign objectives talked about not letting either other faction gain a major lead. while that's a cool game play idea they lore they made for it doesn't fit.

CC also has diminishing returns, meaning that consecutive CC effects have significantly reduced durations up to a point at which you are immune to that effect for a duration. So unless you literally took your hands off your mouse and keyboard or were being focused down by several people - neither of which I can deduce from the information you provided - I find it unlikely that your description of events is entirely accurate.
That's what people mean by "need more information." There is no 1v1 scenario where what you described is a common thing, so either you're exaggerating or something was broken. If you don't provide details, people will naturally assume the former and dismiss your complaint, and if it actually is the latter, there's nothing anyone can do to fix it...unless you provide details.

Pazaak is at it's heart a game of risk management. This is something that already exists through experimentation. It would add a needless level of complexity to introduce a skill that already exists.

Why do we need another step of risk management? Combining is pass fail... which makes sense.

I'm not oversimplifying. And you've clearly never played the minigame in question if you consider it to be intellectual-centric. It's mostly luck with a tiny, tiny, tiny bit of card counting.

For me it's not "kicking ass in melee" it's just that they need support through other means. Damage resistance or attack debuffs would cause the same effect of keeping the group alive. The druid needs a buff, and honestly I doubt every group under the sun will have one of those two archetypes so balancing should be made with groups that lack heals as a consideration.

As an aside, once the quickbars are editable I'd like to see how healing potions alter the perception of how important healing abilities attached to the character are.

TTK? Sorry, not a piece of slang I've come across before. Though part of my whole gripe here is that druids should be the primary healer with Legionnaires being supportive in other ways.

I'm not suggesting they strip it completely, just play up other supportive aspects, defense buffs, cooldown bonuses, something. I didn't suggest bellow was an amazing heal, honestly as far as heals go the cost is too high for the cooldown and heal amount. Which honestly is a point in favor of keeping it as is. a spot heal that is more an in case of emergency than a go-to.

I'll admit, I might just be nostalgic for early day City of Heroes where a non-healer support was completely viable (If you ignored the pugs that would kick you once they realized you didn't have the heal tree).

Well Ranger needs help yeah. Personally I never had issue playing Champions.

The key part here is boring. Not sure how much Disciplines will shake things up but the core class at the moment is too simple. Too stock healer. It has potential to be an incredibly interesting class, but right now it's playing it too close to a straight healer instead of an interesting support. Druid at least has the fun twist of balancing life and death powers. If support just means healer then call it healer.

And obviously fix what's broken first. I'm just theory crafting since they are clearly making some second passes on the older archetypes. Hypotheticals are fun.

So, the knight's recent rework got me thinking about the other classes. And since out of the original three the confessor seems to be on fairly solid ground from the opinions I've seen I got thinking about what they could do to the class I've been a fan of since day one. the legionnaire.

So like most people, I agree that the lego needs to be dialed back a bit, as it stands it is probably one of the top three in any given category except for pure damage output. But this is more about making it interesting and distinct than pure balance talk.

So I like Rage powering their attacks, mythologically centaurs were pretty angry a lot of the time and it works differently enough from the similarly named resources of the Myrmidon and Champion. I also like their 4 attack and the idea that they need to hobble their enemy to be effective and to help the group. This also applies to their base combo and the snare it gives. I think the Lego support needs more of this overall, as well as more things like the resource charging of their 6 and the crit bonus of their C. While I'm not opposed to healing in general I think the Legionnaire should serve his support roll more as an aura buffer emphasizing what are currently the secondary effects of his heals, and an attack based debuffer. Lower the damage of his charge and add a moderate "demoralized" state to any target damaged, Lower below of triumph's heal and give it a damage buff while the heal is in effect. Shorten the aoe of eternal rage and rallying cry, and flip it so the non heal bonuses are the primary motivators. A different focus than the primarily heal based Druid and a larger highlight of the mobility being glued to a horse grants you would help make them feel more unique than what they currently play as, which is the same kind of sturdy frontline healer that always shows up the second someone tries to make a healer that isn't a clothie.

    Thoughts?

There will be what's called Windows of Opportunity whereby keeps/castles/citys etc won't be able to be taken 24/7. You'll need to plan and wait for them to be vulnerable to attack and capture them. Some might not like that but its really the fairest way competition wise to ensure that lame 4am tactic isn't a factor.
Also the rewards gotten from winning a CW are based on time, so the zerg guild won't get much when they "win". Can say well they will just wait then, well in that time maybe an alliance forms to overtake them. Zergs though from my experience are neither patient nor good at adapting to adversity. So IMO, the games design will naturally weed them out and make "zerg" as a tactic less viable.

But animals also provide meat, hunger shards, blood, and bone. That's five resources from one node type, I think the next highest is trees at four.
Also the increased difficulty of harvesting= increased demand= people will be willing to give more for it.

I do think it would help the tests if they dropped a few more spawn points on the maps. And fixed the pathing issues.

As long as leather armor remains valuable then this is a non issue. The market will adjust accordingly if the leather supply is less.

Animal husbandry may be the answer to that issue i.e. pig farming should provide a bunch of leather with the meat.
