I...sincerely hope this was sarcasm. But it's too early in the morning for me to tell, so on the off chance that it wasn't, let me point out Final Fantasy XIV and World of Warcraft?

I cut out the parts I'm not responding to directly. The TL;DR here is that, if these are your problems with combat, then you are talking quite exactly about polish. The design of combat is not implemented yet, and what I took away from "we feel like combat is in a good place" is that, mechanically, all the pieces of combat function.
I agree that combat is kinda boring right now, but the distinct features and gameplay functionality that will make the game loop fun isn't what we're talking about - we're talking about "does combat flow feel correct" and "when I use 'stick it with the pointy end,' does the pointy end stick in it?"
You're talking about features and class-specific functionality, which I thought it had been made pretty clear aren't in yet.

Hah, yes I totally understand. I'd like it to be just a good description rather than another word that really changes based on context, but condensing that into a blurb that can fit on all the areas they have "EARLY ACCESS" pasted is not super easy.
Although a button with tiny font reading "Click here to gain access to our limited content test server wherein you can get a general gist of how the game is going but you're essentially playing a trial version of the full game but with the potential for gamebreaking bugs and inconsistent uptime." would be hilarious.

They come from partners, like myself, members of the community.
I know I am asking for it, but I'll just throw this out there.  If you have a GOOD question, (I'll block spammers of this little favor) PM me, ask nicely, and I MAY post ONE in the right place to get picked up.  Also know, ACE does a bit of picking and choosing on these. Sometimes they leave questions out because the don't know, haven't made a decision, and sometimes they are part of a bigger release or plan of some sort they don't want to talk about yet.
I reserve the right to ignore and not pass on without informing or responding to any questions at all for any reason.
I also reserve the right to erase this post and all memory of my offer from all sentient beings if it gets too noisy.

hahaha I had to laugh at this Krakken. I get what you are saying and I hate poorly made socksty computers ruining the experience for those of us who paid (this is my hobby). I mean I am that guy calling out the crappy toaster playing LoL that forced everyone to sit on the loading screen for 5 minutes.
I just think the skill ceiling is so low in Crowfall right now that this "multiplayer twitch like environment" (rolling on the floor laughing at this point) won't be affected.
Now that the laughter is over, the sadness is kicking in. I wish this was a multiplayer twitch like environment

People who can't afford to pay for something are never a target market, by definition. This is a flawed argument for that reason.
Speaking on behalf of the gamers in your proposed "target market," however - so, the people who grew up eating week-old leftovers from their church analogue, gaming on a cobbled-together computer made of secondhand parts they got from their mom's job's dumpster or their two-gen old rig bought with Christmas money - the fundamental solution is "don't play games that you can't afford to play."
The biggest reason I didn't play World of Warcraft, even though so many of my friends did, was that I couldn't afford a subscription. It just didn't fit into my budget. So......I played other games. It's not rocket science.

I'm not even sure this is a thing anymore, honestly. But if it is (the secondhand part, not the 2-gen old machine - those are probably fine these days), it could honestly work out fine. I volunteered in a factory for a few months in Portland that basically took apart donor machines, tested the salvageable parts, and reassembled the ones that talked to each other in a new chassis. It was a surprisingly efficient system run on a volunteer basis, and after you'd clocked a certain number of hours, you got to take a rig home - more hours got you a system made with higher-end parts. It was basically a non-profit that made secondhand computers.
Now, this was coming up on 10 years ago, so anything that could run even an old MMO like WoW would have taken several months of 4-hour volunteer shifts, I'm sure - don't actually remember, since I needed a word processor, not a gaming rig - but since then, the stuff required to run most games moderately well has gotten much cheaper, since innovation vis a vis new features has slowed down and the only real changes from generation to generation have tended to be incremental performance increases. A machine made of 2-3 generation old parts today is much, much closer to a machine made with top-of-the-line parts than it was 10 or 5 or even 2 years ago.
The point is, a machine cobbled together from parts that aren't more than 3-4 years old at the absolute outside can potentially run most new games with only a few settings changes or new parts. It's not the ridiculous expense it used to be. But then again, most people didn't grow up in a household with a mom who worked in tech support, so maybe I'm overestimating how many poor kids these days know a RAM stick from a CPU.

Yeah, me too. But I can see why some people might be confused by it, and can summarize that reason in a single word: Steam.

I mean to me Early Access means still in development.  At which stage isn't part of It, know that you're buying into an unfinished product.  If people make assumptions that it's "nearly complete" because of that that's on them.  Early access means just that, access early while it's incomplete.

"All these meaningless, jargony words that mean nothing to most people are very confusing. Let's use some different meaningless, jargony words that will mean nothing to most people to make things less confusing."
For the record, I agree that less confusing = more gooder and Test Access or similar is less confusing. I just think the whole thing is kind of funny. :3

Very much past the point of buy in, which is the biggest problem with the current language.
"Early Access" should be renamed to "Test Access". Lose all the debate about alpha pre-alpha, and all the other overused and confusing terms.
Test is test, and connotes an unfinished product, and a user role other than that of a player. You press buy AFTER a button and language that says testing on it, you have no excuse to complain.

Changing a game mechanic in Crowfall to appeal to an opinion of a minority group that probably won't even make up 1% of Crowfall's player base is pretty needy and flat out a waste of time and resources.
It's a video game. I have never met anyone in real life that considers them to be reality or have met anyone that knows someone that does. I also don't think anyone that's religious is going to seriously be up in arms about destroying virtual "property" to gain favor for a virtual deity to get some kind of virtual benefit from it that is made possibly with a computer programming language.
Let's cut the ridiculousness. Sometimes I feel like people just post these kinds of things just to get a rise out of everyone else and to waste people's time. Nobody that's going to play Crowfall is seriously going to think that getting rid of their in game items to get a character buff in any fashion is worshipping a false god. If you do, I think you have serious issues in grasping what is happening in our reality.

Once again, a much more concise and polite version of what I said. I should just declare you my public mouthpiece and enjoy some popcorn.
Just for posterity, though, I - like many Jews - am an atheist in a unique position of simultaneous understanding of and disdain for religion as a whole, because I - like many Jews - recognize firsthand that your particular religious beliefs and my particular religious beliefs matter very, very little when it comes to arguments about "religious beliefs." They are unique and personal and have absolutely no place in this discussion.
Edit: tl;dr, I agree 100% that one should always speak up for people being unfairly persecuted, regardless of the specific circumstances. But this was not that.

I've been working on a new Fortnite/PUBG style Battle Royale Campaign Map and Game Mode for a couple weeks now, which uses the old Hunger Dome mechanic to constrict the map. This is what will happen in release with campaigns, over the course of a seasonal progression - Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter - that could take around 3 months. The map I am working on, and that I plan to propose to ACE to run as alternate campaign in testing, much like they do with the Bloodbath map, will be like an extra-long Fortnite/PUBG round, or a very short Crowfall Campaign, taking not 30 minutes or 3 months, but 7 days.
The map's configuration would be something like this:

On day 1 of the weekly campaign, everyone has access to every part of the map and everything on it, which apart from what is shown above, would include isolated resource nodes spread around the map. The map would start in Spring, and after 2 days, the Hunger would close in, constricting the map, cutting off the Beach-head areas, as the season changed to Summer. It would be summer for 2 days, then the Hunger would close in again, cutting off 3 of the Forts and 3 of the Dragon Statues - which are isolated respawn points that all 3 factions can spawn at, similar to the Ruined ToLs in Shadowbane.
Each season would constrict the map more and more, cutting off more of the spawn points and resources, until the 7th day of the week, which would be Winter, lasting only one day. The faction that is in possession of the Keep at the very end, wins.
This would be a great new game mode with a clear win condition and a somewhat more heightened gameplay experience than the Tug of War campaign currently provides. It would also take advantage of the popularity of games like Fortnite and PUBG, and maybe bring some more attention, and players, to Crowfall.
I will be doing an 'open house' test runs of this Campaign Map in my EK, simulating the Hunger map constriction by removing the outer ring of parcels over time. Not all the mechanics can be tested of course, but it will give people an idea of what the map layout could be like, with it's equidistant Beach-Heads, Forts and POI, and what the gameplay could be with a smaller map and clear objective.
EKs were wiped yesterday so I'm de-doing the map now. If anyone is interested in checking it out, let me know and I'll give you access to the EK. Hopefully someome from ACE, maybe @jonnycab, will give it a look as well and consider doing a trial run on the test server.
EDIT: NOTE, I am proposing this only as an alternative or companion to the Tyranny map, much like Bloodbath is, and ONLY during testing. Has nothing to do with release.

Sorry man,i didnt imply that trust me. I know the original context of the text is dark but i didnt expect people to get hung up on that. I take it as a example of "speak up for others because some day you might need people to do the same to you", just like now where i was trying to make religious people feedback heard even though i am an atheist and wouldnt be affected in anyway.
So, this wont go anywhere good so it is better to let it die out.
