  1. No Ranger love?! Maybe the skill tree isn't deep and configurable.
  2. Hey folks, Although we are not opening the recruiting doors just yet you can join us in Discord if you're interested in learning more about LotD and its members. https://discord.gg/dNmxp8H This link will take you to our public crowfall text channel. You can hit up @Phil @leshil @jbigg and a few others if you have trouble or need help in discord. We also have a few crowfall voice channels available. You can find the root channel here: https://discord.gg/EtaDQED Cheers, see you folks in game this weekend.
  3. I know spouting "make it more like DFO" isn't a constructive or unique idea but that's all they need to do. People didn't leave DFO because the combat was bad, if anything they stuck around as long as they did because it was good. Stop trying to re-invent the wheel, stop trying to be so unique.

  5. If I wanted to shoot a single arrow at the target from that distance I can't. That's my primary concern. I think all other discussion (arc, abilities) are just a symptom of not offering true ranged combat.
  6. I am disappointed in the first iteration of the Ranger. Combat seems slow, range limited, no arc in shot, the list goes on. All you have to do is copy Darkfall's combat. What's with the slow pace? What's with the artificial limitations like distance? No arc on the shot? How am I supposed to aim over walls or friendlies? If this is what combat will look like at release (I'm including client side controls in this) my enthusiasm for the game just went right out the window.
  7. Not to say you didn't make the right move but I personally would have paid the extra fees to get my t-shirts in a timely manner. Would have been nice to at least have the option. Nice t-shirts cost us at least $35 anyway.
  8. I guess we should mention that even people joining now are not guaranteed membership come CF launch. Once we evaluate alpha and beta a list of requirements will be made in addition to our normal list of: 18+ ( no minors unless you get Hades permission - very rare ) Must have previous MMO experience ( preferably PvP focused ) Must use voice comms Must read and be active on forums Must go through w/e the interview / recruitment process ends up being ( determined during alpha / beta ) You have a guild first attitude You are willing to follow the LotD Rules & Regulations and accept the consequences for any misconduct or violations on your side Extensive yes, but we've been around a long time and take membership seriously. In fact we just took action against some members who were taking advantage of the new and sexy AA exploit. LotD does not tolerate exploiting / cheating. That being said if you're OK with that list and join now to introduce yourself it won't hurt your chances. In fact those that help us during the alpha / beta stages of a game typically make it in and have a chance to help form our launch day / general plan for the game. In most chapters we end up having a friends / family policy as well if you have people you game with but they play casually. For a game like CF we'll have to figure out how that works.
  9. For CF you can expect a large turn out. All the old members are waking up from their comas and we have a new person in shoutbox / the forums every week. I know our active chapters are getting a few new members that are just introducing themselves to the guild and killing time until CF or CU launches.
  10. We will have all the coins.
  11. We need coins. That being said nothing is stopping people without coins from bartering with other goods. Guilds will need raw resources just as much, if not more so, than coins.
