This is my sentiment exactly after messing with the changes. White gear wont be the start of viability because a crafter that is skilled enough to make perfect white gear is going to just make perfect blue/purple/legendary instead because it is stronger and easier to make (presuming you have the materials).

New players who don't have the Assembly skill high enough or can't acquire higher level materials will be stuck making whites and the experimentation chance and low number of total Experimentation points they have means their whites won't even live up to the ideal Blair posted earlier.

I think we are all in agreement that the change is good mechanically, but the values don't really line up with the stated intent of flattening the gear itemization curve except on a max trained and geared crafter. New or not fully trained players are going to produce total garbage gear from common materials with the experimentation difficulty set as high as it is now. If that end result is intentional then so be it, but the reality is we aren't going to see a significant change in what is actually viable from what we have on live if that is the case.

No basic staves on the vendors

Edit: More constructively put: it would be nice to have basic staves on the test-only vendors, even if it's no longer considered a beginner-level weapon, because we're all boosting to 30 anyway to test things out.

Aurochs have certainly acquired new tactics.  We also fought a hellcat and they didn't seem to have this same ants-in-their-pants combat style.

    1. The filters for the world bank do not work (weapons, armor, etc.) while in campaign, they do however work in the lobby when accessing the account vault.
    2. I seem to have managed to get my character stuck again.  Every time I try and log the character into the campaign I get booted back to the login screen and I receive this error if I try and unlock it:

    3. Is the level restriction for campaigns supposed to be vessel-specific?  I recall it being mentioned that this was supposed to be an account-level flag, but my level 1 Confessor cannot enter the campaign despite having a level 30 Myrmidon in the campaign.

    This.
Community rabble rousers made a significant impression when these forums went completely apepoorly made socks over 4 whole days of Godz Reach.
ACE's take away lesson was to never have a single day break in campaigns....
The real take away is the forums are full of bad advice and complaints from people that don't play the game.

Whatever happened to having a break in God's Reach?
Could we not just end the campaign at the original time and have a hooligan around in GR while we wait for whatever you've got planned.
Those that are screeching and screaming for constant campaigns are gone, and I for one have been burnt out for a while. Likely other people too.
I think it's time you reintroduced that GR break period.

The recipes aren't supposed to be symmetrical. Also horse legs are structurally just long fingers they don't have femurs.

An elf sits on a chair and thinks to himself "Thank you Staff for running your mouth and uXa for manipulating the capture points system, without you guys we might not have motivated our members to come back and turn this campaign around in a single night".

You can launch anything that fits between the uprights supporting the upper and lower braces. I wouldn't be surprised if that barrel sitting there isn't a coincidence and that it's actually one of the possibly delivery systems for an incendiary load. The smaller model in the other picture is what would typically be used to launch the spear-like projectiles we see in game but you could easily use the same delivery system for volatile substances.
And that's just historical examples, Crowfall is a game where we have magic and castle walls that can be built in seconds using two rocks. I think it's well within the realm of the setting that a balista burns stuff.

Can we get resource containers in god's reach?  They were in the keeps but have been removed now that there are no siege zones.  It is hard to test crafting changes without certain resources available (body parts, minerals for ambrosia).

Just to get out of the bug thread I wanted to continue the discussion around the pip changes brought up there.

@thomasblair I'd like to make it clear that I think everyone is in favour of flattening the curve in the game currently, but these changes in the current state of the game only practically serve to make crafters/harvesters feel burnt out. @Hungry posted this in the thread:
I highlighted the part that is most concerning. For that small of an increase it feels like a complete waste of time to harvest that much for that little of a gain. This is an issue with having a live testing environment that is being played like a real game - and unfortunately it's an issue you should consider if you want to maintain a testing population.

If quality gear will be this small of an increase quality materials will need to become much easier to acquire, and it would help us a lot to know more about your plans for:
Refineries. Caravans. Player harvesting potentials relative to the other options. In the past you've mentioned how you wanted to increase resource gain, which we were all relieved to see - but all we've seen since then is a reduction in our ability to get quality materials. Beneficial harvest getting nerfed, skinning continuing to be a complete chore (4 hours of farming per blue leather armor set), and the massive gap in efficiency between passive trained players and untrained players create a lot of problems.

I don't expect a reply in this thread but it may be worth having a harvesting and crafting Q+A sometime soon to talk about the design intent behind these changes cc @Pann. There have been a ton of changes around farming that are worth discussion (for example, are the disc buying changes here to stay or can we expect shadowbane like soul hunting in the future?)

Last piece of feedback. The patch notes suck and are always missing stuff. It's a guild effort for us to all login and test/look at everything we can think of in the game when a test patch gets put up because we can't trust the notes to contain all of the important stuff, let alone all of the perceived minor stuff.

Thanks for being so willing to discuss things with the player base and engage with us. You guys get a lot of poorly made socks, but overall we really appreciate your effort.

Agreed with this, I don't even think ballista need to be toned down that much.  Half of the problems will be fixed if people can see the AoEs and the other half have had other threads with good suggestions on how to tone down ballista without removing their tactical presence in sieges.

Large, evenly matched fort fights however feel like an impossible slog for attackers due to how accessible resurrection is.  Even if you camp the dragon statue the invulnerability window on res makes this tough.  Altering or disabling ressurection at dragon statues inside of holdings being attacked would help alleviate this particular issue.
