  1. Hey guys, I crafted something! Roll with UDL if you want to win fights. We don't crutch on gear that was farmed while hiding for 2 weeks on another server!
  2. What do you mean? As a duelist, you can burrow under the wall/gate and get inside without getting hit by a guard at all. Zero noise because enemies cannot hear your teleport while burrowed and cannot hear you while you're burrowed.. however friendlies can.
  3. I always refer back to Darkfall, because this game loves taking ideas from it. In Darkfall, if you entered a city/town.. the people who own it get Notifications, (Someone has Entered ____ City). Also, during that time, there is a loud Lightning Tower thing that shot at them constantly, so you knew where they were.
  4. I love the idea of people going into a fort/keep and doing this stealthily. However, the fact is that keeps are less protected than forts.
  5. I'm not sure what you mean by Texture jumps and texture hits. Maybe you guys have a different language or know more about the backend than I do. However, wood elves, duelists, assassins, confessors can blink through walls/gates. I don't care about that, but why have crafting stations in the worst guarded area in the keep? Makes no sense. I like Anhrez's idea of being able to buy guards to slot them places.
  6. I do not understand your question. Is it directed at me? The reason I want this is safety. Why should crafters be in a keep without guards rather than a fort with guards? No point.
  7. Please put guards in keeps. The current meta is cancer with duelists/assassins/wood elves inside of Ganelon, Archenstone, and Navarre. You just sit in the keep until someone comes and attack them. Please put guards in the keeps. Why are keeps less secure than forts?
  8. The main server is going down pretty often. You can play on another server or check back on Monday or Tuesday.
  9. Keep testing, young Padawan. Through testing, you shall find enlightenment.
  10. The only problem with this is that they would have to do it right. There are many games in which people abuse the /unstick feature to get through walls/obstacles.
  11. @thomasblair Just in case you may have missed this thread!
  12. I think this is a step in the right direction. Makes you drop your inventory when you recall. That would prevent harvesters from abusing the system. IMO, I think you either have to do something like this, or make it really loud with a large graphic and take 2-3 minutes to cast.
  13. Bad thing: It's already a heated discussion. Many, if not all players think 10 second cast time is way too short. If this feature is truly to help stuck players, why not increase it to 1 minute or even 2 minutes? Harvesters will be using Recall every time the 30 Minute CD is off to get away from PvP'ers. You will never kill a harvester that has surround sound again if you keep it with a 10s cast time. Good thing: I actually love the thought of the Recall even for not stuck players. Running all the way back to the Chaos beach head from Reaper's Ridge or somewhere else is a pain to swap vessels. By your talks about larger maps, it will be even worst. Recall will be a great tool to use OUT OF COMBAT. Thoughts?
  14. Exactly! Find yourself a guild - if you like crafting and gathering, they can always help with that and get you started fast. If you like PvP - many guilds do training nights to help their new players.
  15. @JudeSaint VikingNail is the community frowner. He dislikes nearly everything, so I would take anything he says with a grain of salt. This game is very fun with a group of people. Watch PvP videos, crafting, gathering.. see what you like. Playing this game solo will get you bored fast, but playing with a group increases your fun by 10x's. Every new player that I bring into our guild says how much more fun they have with a group of people. @VIKINGNAIL also says that there aren't any good PvP'ers, but I haven't ever seen him in game in the last 5-8 months for him to make that assumption.
  16. Thanks for your reply. It sounds to me like you aren't wanting to do a 80/20 passive/active or a 90/10 is because of people grinding hard for 1 day. Make it where the 10% is very small, so they can't. You also mentioned about lack of end game, but shouldn't that be where diplomacy and new campaigns come into place?
  17. 80% 20% also makes people who have 9999 alts AT LEAST 20% less effective than people who actively play. Especially in the crafting/gathering aspect of the game.
  18. We were talking about the skill training in UDL public crowfall discord channels today. I think a lot of people dislike the skill training. My thoughts behind it was that it catered to the people who can only play once a month TOO much. Make it where you get 80% of your skill training from the passive and 20% from active activities. Maybe hitting a mob or sacrificing a player's loot gain overall skill in something. Yes, I know sacrificing already does this... but it doesn't help the HARD lock time gate on crafting. Early game will be the worst with the current system and that will be the determining factor on if this game survives. @thomasblair
  19. So I have to go Human Ranger for you to attack me now?
  20. I haven't read any of the large paragraphs in this topic, but I've always liked actually doing stuff to gain skill. Another open world, PvP/PvE game that was more of an underground game was UCGO. I liked their system a lot: You have a max of 350 skill points (450? 350? Something like that) You have to shoot lasers to get up your lasers skill. Projectiles to get up your projectile skill. You have to run to get up your Acrobatics. Dodge attacks to get up your dodge. You only have 350 sp, so you have to decide what you want. Once you hit max, you could hit a down arrow to make that skill go down and then do whatever action you want to skill up. For crafters: Same system applies. Weaponsmith, armorsmith, etc were all in game. 125 were the cap for these I believe, at different sp tiers, you got access to better weapons and armor. For example: Once you had 30 skill, you got this weapon. 50 skill, this weapon, 75 skill.. and so on. Same system applies with the arrows. ^ This has been my favorite skill system out of all the games I've ever played. The current Crowfall system is very boring. Or just put in the DF 1 system and be done with it.
  21. Looks fun! I'm excited to hunt (players) in these adventure parcels!
  22. @moneda I'm a strong believer of, "If it's too long, people won't watch it." @Tinnis And a very overpowered C ability..
  23. Fun fights from the Undead Alliance (UDL, HoA, TB, LoD) vs W
