  1. This is what I am getting from the screen shot of Character Creation. 

     

    A. It looks to be something you would see in a MOBA or DIablo style game. 

     

    B. It looks like its going to be a top down view.

     

    C. I hope I am wrong about A&B because I don't want either game styles for this Title.

     

    So hopefully they are just taking a new approach to character creation. In that case it looks good. Of course this is Pre Alpha so its all subject to change.


  2. The only thing we Canadians are afraid of is that the US will finally decide to deport Beiber back to us.  Also possibly that there will be a duct tape shortage, but that's more of a "when hell freezes over" kind of fear.

     

    Absolutely, give me a night cycle, and a good long one at that. And weather! And make it affect gameplay. It'd be awesome to see people running into an opposing army for battle and slipping on ice or something.

  3. I am still playing wow and the garrison is awesome. What would make it better if it was not instances and if it was guild/ community controlled land. So say someone starts a little village they had to pay X ammount of money and resources. Now let's say a player named Joe wants invest in this village as well. He puts in X ammount of resources. So eventually this town is established etc. Now let's say Joe and I are the only ones who invested. We would each get titles for said village and privileges. Of course this area should also be inhabited by npc's. Anyway to make a long story short. We should be able to expand our territory. Against NPC towns and player towns. We should have soldiers as well that can be equipped with specific armour. What I mean by this is if we have mines on our lands we can train heavy soldiers. But say some other player or NPC town with a vast forest at their disposal they could make longbow men. This would all turn into player run factions. That is the ultimate fantasy experience. Only game to pull that off to date is eve online. That I know of. We should also be able to trade with people etc. Economy player made crafted items all that. Give the players the ability to form an empire and lose it all if they cannot manage it effectively.


  4. To me, the real raids will not be against PvE bosses. They should be about territory. Gather your people and attack the village your neighbors have been trying to build on the sly. Destroy the buildings and take the resources back to build your own village closer to their borders. Let the political people work out comprimises. The raids will come naturally from those power plays.

  5. I agree a 90% with this post. The one part I don't agree with is 40 mans for raids. Wildstar tried and it failed. The majority of the MMO community does not want it anymore. We should stick to 25 and under and call it a day. You need a bench of atleast 80 people for a 40 man raid. The logistics r a pain in the ass. Especially if the game does not have the population for it.


  6. 2017 is way to soon if they only have a website and they don't even have a shell of a game up. Going with what I know I would say the game will release five years from now. Maybe four if they are pushing it. But they need to stress servers with mass invites 6 months prior to launch. So i go back to five years i think. Even five years from now is too soon.


  7. I can go either way but it has to be done correctly. So say we can have kids or relatives in game. So when we die we play as one of them and they get like 70% of everything we have done in game. Of course if this is going to be PVP focus. People are going to be dying left and right. So people are going to get a bit annoyed by that. Maybe they shouldn't even consider it.


  8. WASD lets not try to fix what is not broken. It has worked for many MMORPG's and regular games. I personally dislike Mouse (Point and Click)  because you really don't have full control of your character. Arrow Keys is basically like WASD I think but its easier for people that are left handed so it should be in the game. I know a lot of people don't like when WOW is brought up but their movement system is spot on. Regardless of what you think of the game etc....


  9. SUB model but do it right. I hate Cash shops. Just roll out content on a regular basis and we should be good. Not only does a Sub model keep trolls etc... out of the game up to a point. We should have a guarantee that we are getting what we are paying monthly for. Plus everyone playing your game and paying a monthly fee for it gives you guys a steady flow of income to develop the game more after launch.
