    IRL, exciting news. Has to be a relief knowing the funding is there to finish the game right.

    Hello Friends & Enemies! 
    This contest really highlighted something that gets over looked because Crowfall is a PvP centric game and that is the AMAZING lore Todd has written. It's beautifully evocative and emotionally stirring. Captures your imagination by bringing you into a deep and interesting world. A lot of creative thought has gone into developing the lore that has inspired this awesome contest!

    Welcome to Crowfall Pre-Alpha Build 5.4.2
    Welcome to Crafting and Sacrifice System Test
    There have been reported issues with the skill tree system during internal playtests. If you come across a training node that does not seem to work please report it in our playtest feedback forum. If you get into a state where your client disconnects while skill training please exit the client and restart it to resolve the issue.

    General Bug Fixes:
    Fixed a bug where changing your gender only (not race or class) would break your power bar such that you can no longer change into melee or ranged stances. Fixing items incorrectly changing child stat values when changing. There was an issue where child stats wouldn’t update correctly on leveling.  Fixed missing materials on corpses for Druid armor, Minotaur horns, and human female hair. Fix for NPC ranger guard in forts and keeps missing it's bow mesh. Dying should no longer auto-enable cursor mode when the release prompt becomes visible. Tutorial videos have been re-enabled in the game client. EKs should now start up properly. Fixed an issue where opening the cursor mode closed the chat panel. Skill Trees and Skills:
    Added some fixes and issues where bad data would cause a “Training Limits Reached” error. Added more support for logging when a refusal to train a skill would occur. Optimized skill tree loading and added adjustments to the tweens. Fix a training bug that was happening when applying time bank on a tree with an active bank and then trying to train the skill. Key Bindings:
    Added a workaround to prevent the settings on TMP_Text components from resetting to defaults if the text was null (empty non-null string is fine). This mostly occurred in keybindings after clearing and reopening the settings panel. Fixed an issue where attempting to set the binding for a negative button (e.g. move backwards or move left) would instead add a binding to the positive button (e.g. move forward or move right). Sacrifiice and XP:
    XP changes and updates have been made to the Monster Definitions. Crafting:
    Altered baseline difficulties of all recipes to adjust with crafting those items assuming poor difficulty. Changed crafting messaging for outcome to now be the following messages: When the result of the assembly is +1 over the average the outcome will now be "Amazing Assembly!", if the iitem is the same as the average it will be a "Successful Assembly", and "Flawed Assembly" when the result is a failure but an item is still granted. Updated leatherworking station to fix missing textures problem (pink visuals). Temporary fix - updating crafting recipes to now have a time of 1 second to help alleviate some of the WASD movement issues with crafting. Most input values have been blocked when a crafting window is open as well as cursor mode being the only usable mode while crafting. Added another metal bar requirement to the Great Pommel and Great Crossguard recipe.  UI:
    Added Video button hooks for lobby and cursor mode toolbar. Fixed the visual issue of when a player reaches level 6 and gets more than 10k EXP the text moves down to the next line making it look weird. The chat window now hides when the hud hides. Disciplines:
    Removed quotation marks from Pix Fix description. Banshee Wail can no longer be loaded out into the Druid Life tray. Blast of Leaves cannot be used by Pip users. Fixed weapon sheathing on non combat bard songs (animation fix). Agent Provocateur abilities Lay Low and Preparation can no longer be loaded out into the Survival tray. Banshee Ghost army now performs its healing in one shot when the Ghosts dematerialize and the healing now caps out at around 700. Corrected an issue that could cause Banshee Ghost Army to reactivate a second time without you initiating it. Rallying Banner no longer stacks with itself, uses the caster's stats to determine the amount healed and has a longer cooldown. Corrected an issue with Scarecrow Needling Haystack that may have prevented damage from being applied back to attacking enemies. Powers:
    New Recall power has been added and defaults to the 8 key in the Survival Tray. This power allows players to recall to their faction’s beachhead. Found resources can be loaded out into the Stealth tray again. Fixed a bug with channel and charge powers where the cooldown would not apply properly. This was caused by the cooldown start being set to “OnEnd”. Channeled powers will no longer go on cooldown if they did not execute any ticks. Fixed a bug where Non-Knight Retaliates wouldn't work. Powers can no longer be queued while in the middle of executing an interrupt power.  Jumping or attempting to do another power while blocking as a knight will no longer make the block stick until you run out of stamina. Race Specific Fixes:
    Human Female:
    Fixing missing arms on the human when equiping leather armor. Class Specific Fixes:
    Cleric:
    Fix for missing throwing hammer for the cleric. Druid:
    Druid abilities Nature's Avatar, Spark and Focused Spark are now effected by Range Distance Bonus mods. *Note that Aurora Emitter (distance only), Lightning Burst and Lightning Strike are not yet affected by mods but should be in a future update. Myrmidon:
    The Bleed applied by Myrmidon Whirlwind lasts for 16 seconds again. Fixed orientation on Minotaur Champion reverse chain pull (Animation fix). Ranger:
    Removed references to non-existent debuffs in Sinister Slash and Wicked Slash descriptions. Vile Slash now indicates it applies the Spot Weakness buff. Campaigns:
    Updated cottage building to fix missing material problem. Replacing dupe enchanting station with an alchemy station in the keep parcel.

    In a day when most games that claim to be "alpha" are just high-dollar play-first schemes, what you're experiencing right now is not actually Crowfall. You're playing a test campaign in a true pre-alpha. There is no glory to be gained, purpose to push for - it's just testing right now. You don't have the hardcore gatherers and crafters risking life-and-limb to go to the far-reaches of the world to get the best materials or the assassins stalking to kill said gatherers and crafters to loot their stuff either (well there is a hint of this, but it's relatively uncommon). There is no risk or reward right now because stuff is wiped regularly AND a good portion of what will bring danger into the world isn't even in yet (i.e., seasons). Safe zone harvesting-only is not intended to replace the risk vs reward that we'll see in the final product nor is this test campaign intended to represent the full-game that was promised in the kickstarter. It's easy to jump to conclusions, but in this case I would recommend patience. Just as when people saw Hungerdome and said, "oh, Crowfall is a battle royale" or a MOBA, it's understandable that someone would look at this current test campaign and confuse it for the final product.

    This the greatest compliment I've ever been given. I shall cherish this always. They did play the greatest song in the world, after all. It didn't sound like this song though.
