gerrylix got a reaction from Balthur in Maps Part II
I made a thread about the situation on our maps some time ago and i am really working on getting maps done for my guild but with geometry like this it's impossible or at least the most cumbersome work. I was starting to map today and was already at the handdrawing aspect when it hit me.
Why should i as a customer invest tons of hours in getting the map TOP DOWN when devs can add a top down option without perspective.
this thread is a reminder to the devs how useless coordinates are on the map right now, this thread is a reminder for you that perspectives are NOT welcome on a map!

This is a screenshot of the current Krim Kingdom portal to chaos temple, i would never have guessed that it stands where it stands right now, even with tools like gimp it's a nightmare to find out parcel locations.
    This portal actually stands on T12 | U12 | T11 | U11
Please for the unholy art of Fantasy mapping, give us a map view we deserve, non perspective, top down.

Really nice write up, have you ever thought of going the wiki road?

I don't know were the current road will lead us but if you throw in some skills into combat trees that make farming NPC's more viable then a full combat character could be a viable asset too. I do have my crafting vessels and i tend to agree that 0.25 would be a better option to 1 skilltree, if it helps lessen the power gap.

Problem is that the current ratio for skill progression is 3 fold and if you ask me the speed should not go down to 1 but to 0.5 on release.
Besides that the profession trees should be like 3 times it's actual size.
If you want to compare EVE injectors with crowfall you also have to compare the complex learning of EVE to the not yet complex learning of crowfall.
Maybe only older EVE players know that you could even Learn learning skills in the beginning and removing the race professions was a big mistake.
Dual learning also doesn't help at all.
I suggest 1 profession at a time, add race specific professions again, add more depth to the existing professions and pronto you got a working system were it takes ages to create a powergap that OP is worried about.

I read title, wow its UI, finally!!! then I have read body..
especially I sarcastically like this ones
glad to see you have a designer to repeatedly redesign some elements . sad but HUD is expected much more than lobby. not design but working, modern and completed HUD and UI (with floating numbers).
functionality more than redesign. at the end, this is also a button.
if this button working all the time as expected, I don't care about it design

    Your changes basically custard suck.
I'm done playing, basically because, despite my time and investment (7 accounts + cosmetics), you are starting to make this too painful to log in to. Please, as a custard team, log in and play together.... mine the ore stone, leather, wood, bodyparts.. craft the vessels, gear.. and for custard God's sake Runes now.... ask yourself then.. "how anyone will sign up for this....?"

You've got a great concept, but whoever is designing this for the masses is poorly made socksting the bed.

I'm not lazy, but i promise you this, you come to market with this durability, this grind, this amount of painful gates to a mediocre experience.. even Shadowbane will have looked like a success to what you are offering..... which is all the harshness of SB gated behind the worst Korean grindfest game the world has known.
    TLDR:
What in the actual hell were you guys thinking in your design team meeting with these rune changes given the grindfest this game has become?

There does not have to be competition, they can and should coexist.
Kickstarters overall often wanted to change the world completely thats why they fail so hard. Inveting the wheel all the time is no good idea.
That's why for me crowfall, CU and pantheon are (even if they are buggy at times or inbalanced or on the wrong track for some time) the stars on the sky that could give my gamerheart a home like i had during DAOC, SWTOR, GW1 and vanilla WOW. Since that time i am a wanderer between mmos that take instant gratification over social values.
Community bonds are what made these games so great and that's what so many studios miss these days and always wonder why people are gone after 1 month.

How are we supposed to have a healthy community?
I got pretty good guild members that have played with me since we opened our guild on the start of the trials of illara, with dayli uptimes of everyone and everyone was very enthusiastic.
The month started out with news from the devs about 5.9 being tested on testservers and we followed, gave the feedback that it's riddled with bugs and nobody ever thought this mess would be released to live servers. We were promised a mug for using the testservers and helping in ironing out the rough corners of the build and everyone thought "I can live with 5.8.6 until 5.9 is really ready and give my constructive feedback from the testservers". We were all ready to run on live and test on the testservers at the same time.

Now we feel let down, we feel disappointed and now i will as the last online member in my guild shut down the lights because only the "inner test circle" gets news and we peasents have to endure a month of silence. Some sparse info about the embargo system does not change how left alone we feel.

I am seeing games in alpha like fractured, seeing their detailed news on every patch, active community managers and i am thinking:
"ACE you can do that to, your team is way bigger then 8 men?"

This is not a rent anymore, this is just a sad story about players left in the dark cold night without any real direction or info on how things are going. As every last member of my guild said before they slowly one after another went into the Crowfall Break: "There is 0 fun left!"

The most funny part of all of this is that nobody ever mentions NA or EU.
Some players that were adding up to the whole useless faction discussion are clearly EU and some are NA.
Vote for EU/NA server flags on users because these kind of discussions will get even more out of hand in the coming month.
