  1. I couldn't help but chuckle to myself while reading Armegeddon's response while looking at his forum picture. Ah, the bliss of the easily amused.
  2. Whoa, whoa, whoa. That is a majestic red panda, an obviously far superior species.
  3. Honestly, I have very little interest in duelist, however, I found it interesting all other classes have at least three races to choose from and yet duelist is stuck with the waddling furballs (nothing but <3 for all guinea lovers out there, don't bite me).
  4. Wah? Only guineas can be duelists? But why?! Great update. Looking forward to seeing it in action.
  5. Let me first start off by saying... take this post with a grain of salt. I realize the promotions are still in the process of being worked on so what I'm about to suggest could already be discussed, under consideration, thrown out or in the works. With that being said, if what I do post hasn't been any of the above, I hope someone takes them under consideration. So, I knew from the beginning when druid was announced that this archetype would be the one I'd have the most interest in, especially as a support. Playing a druid, I don't expect to be the archetype to charge in and win fights solo. In fact, I usually end up running away whenever I'm out solo in pre-alpha and that's fine (thanks for making druids sweet escape artists). Instead, I expect to be the factor that has the potential to turn a fight in team play. Right now, a druid is more of what I'd consider a defensive support class with limited time in the death tray and throwing out heals. I noticed that one of the druids promotions is called Witch. This ultimately got me even more excited about the potential of the class. When I think Witch, I immediately think of the Pathfinder Witch class. Anyone who has played this tabletop class knows that the witch is an offensive support class. She doesn't do much in the way of damage but her ability to control the battlefield and debuff the enemy is almost unmatched. I would LOVE to have this option of the Crowfall druid. When I choose druid, I don't expect to be doing massive amounts of damage and I still don't expect this when I choose the Witch promotion (this promotion focuses more on the death tray and takes away from the life tray for anyone who doesn't know). I don't need to do more damage. I should have confessors, frostweavers, stalkers, assassins, rangers, etc on my side to do the damage for me. Instead, I would rather have abilities like entangling roots, web, obscuring mist and hexes to throw down some nasty debuffs on my enemies. If I chose witch, I would be perfectly happy if most if not all healing spells were taken away and replaced with CC and debuffs. In large combat, I feel battlefield controllers are just as important as front-liners, flankers, defensive support and damage dealers of mass destruction. I also feel they can add more depth to strategy and tactics. Area CC can work similar to tabletop games, in that it effects anyone, friend and enemy, within the targeted area. This would force CC to be used smartly and with communication rather than just thrown down whenever the spell is off CD. Essence would still also be a thing so a Witch couldn't simply sit in the tray with CC/debuffs 100% of the time. Right now, there doesn't seem to be much in the way of battlefield controllers in Crowfall and I feel the Druid Witch has the potential. Thanks for the consideration!
  6. It does make me wonder how the assassin's stealth will work. I doubt it will be a stationary stealth for obvious reasons but will it be more old school creeping slowly around stealth or stealth that has a duration. Though, thinking about it, duration stealth wouldn't make a whole lot of sense in Crowfall in my own opinion.
  7. I already wonder how often I'll actually see you when we start running into the game together, Hobs. I'm going to have to put a kitty bell on you, I just know it.
  8. Hello fellows. How are you all enjoying BDO? Usually I'm the type to get to max level fairly quickly but I fully admit I have been completely distracted by everything shiny on every corner.
  9. I am first to admit that I usually end up late to the party. It's called making an entrance, right.... right?? And thanks for the welcome back, Diz. Beer and tacos only for welcoming gifts, please. And I swear we will have new signatures soon! I just have to poke a certain someone several times to make sure it gets done in a somewhat timely manner.
  10. Of course. I think Chiyo would approve as well. All things cute should be coveted.
  11. I'll take it. She's pretty freakin' awesome.
  12. So yes, long story short. Pax Maelstrom is now Pax Venator and I am now the GM of the Pax Gaming Crowfall Division. Hello to everyone! Link to old thread.
  13. Pax Maelstrom has gone through a leadership and name change. New recruitment thread has been posted to reflect this change and this thread will eventually be locked, hopefully. Thanks! New Thread
  14. Pax Venator - The Peace Hunters - "We hunt for the end of the Hunger - but for now - you can be our prey" Welcome to the new Pax Venator Guild Recruitment Thread! As you may have guessed, there have been some changes in Pax Gaming's Crowfall Division and we are excited to share them with the Crowfall community. New Leadership: Though the original Pax Maelstrom leadership has stepped down, as continuing Pax members, they will defintely be playing along with us when Crowfall rolls out. If anything, this fact alone illustrates the stability and camaraderie of Pax Gaming - our divisions do not fold because of changes like this. Far from it. Not only have we retained all our former members through this transition, but we have steadily added to our numbers. As for Pax Venator's new leadership, we have over 45 years of combined MMO experience and we plan to leverage every last bit of it into making Pax Venator the best damned guild in Crowfall. New Name: What was once Pax Maelstrom is now Pax Venator. Desiring a name inspired specifically by Crowfall, we chose Ventor - Latin for Hunter. In every aspect of Crowfall, we will be hunters, whether hunting our enemies on the battlefield, monsters in the wilderness, resources in each dying world, choice crafting recipes, the best bargains, or even for our soul's next vessel - every one of us plans to pursue our goals like a tenacious hunter. New Members: If you can see yourself in that last sentence - if you plan to hunt for success in whatever role you play in Crowfall - we invite you to take a look at Pax Venator. To provide a little background, Pax Venator is a team focused, PvP guild that seeks to provide our members the tools to not only succeed as individuals, but as part of our highly competitive machine. Like its leadership, the members of Pax Venator have years of MMO experience in countless titles, and whether it's PvP, PvE, Crafting, etc., we play to win. Our secret to maintaining this level of excellence is recruiting quality, mature players - players like you - who desire more than the run-of-the-mill guild. With membership to Pax Venator comes membership to the Pax Gaming Community. Growing its gaming family in a multitude of titles since 2001, Pax Gaming currently has over ten different gaming divisions, so while we wait for Crowfall, there is always something to play at Pax Gaming. If Pax Venator piques your interest, feel free to post any questions you might have in this thread or PM Rohe or Hobs. We also have a Teamspeak server and we would be happy to talk to you about your plans for Crowfall. Or if you have heard enough and you're ready to sign up, visit our Pax Venator forums and introduce yourself (here). Whether hardcore PvP, PvE, harvesting, crafting, politics, and even a little role-play, whatever you seek in Crowfall - whatever you're hunting for - come hunt for it with Pax Venator. ~ Some hunt for sport, some for treasure, some for fame. Why choose? ~ Pax Venator - be the hunter
