Founder's Update: Testing 2.0 Siege Perilous! - Official discussion thread

Recommended Posts

Hey folks, wanted to drop a quick update for you on the State of Testing.  Yes, I know it’s out of our normal cadence (these typically hit every other Wednesday-ish) but in this case, I think it is warranted.

PLEASE add friendly fire to the coming tests. We need to know how it will work out, and see how this effects the game (I have no doubt ACE did internal testing with FF, but perhaps trying it with the community will yield different results). And with the larger teams and upcoming destruction... well, we are starting to get concerning far into combat without testing this highly impactful feature.

Destruction and large teams are awesome anyway! And even without FF, I look forward to the testing!

Might I interest you in a low-interest mortgage?

Awesome.  I guess the next big milestone will be an actual CW.

That would be cool. Looking forward to a more persistent server that I can log in and mess around with stuff whenever.

Super hyped for sieges.

And how much destruction are we talking? Full voxel(terrain/buildings/trees) or partial(buildings).

All this makes sense - we were brainstorming in Gamevox earlier in the week and hoped for exactly this roadmap (snap tests with a new controller to help us from Crowcaine withdrawal in Jan, followed by Team-v-Team siege minigame in Feb).

I think it's a great idea to test out sieging or any sorts of large scale attack before releasing an official campaign. That's some good stuff thanks ACE!

I agree. I like these smaller scale focused tests too.
