Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

The trailer became the rallying point for everyone to show their grievances with CoD. People also didn't want another futuristic shooter (myself included). Also the CoD 4 remaster only being available if you buy the $80 edition of Infinite Warfare didn't do them any favors.

At this point it's become a meme to dislike that trailer and it's now one of the most disliked videos on YouTube.

Infinite Warfare is a stupid ass name too.

Wait, its more disliked than the Ghostbusters Trailer?! CoD becoming Halo surely riled up a whole lot of peeps...

I'm curious to know how this kind of publicity (mostly the number of dislikes) will impact on the sales of the game, compared to the popularity of the previous titles of the franchise.

I like it, but it needs a competitive mode imho.

Escort and whatever else there's now are boring.

They had a competitive mode but decided to delay it until post launch. I agree there needs to be more game modes but I'm not sure what'd they'd be.

Call of Duty...   lol

Left that long time ago.

Modern Warfare was a great experience

But well then came...

Advanced Warfare, and now...

Infinite Warfare...

Game franchises really are overdoing it way too much. Call of Duty, Assassins Creed, Tom Clancy's, Tomb Raider, you name it.

They dont get created when artists have new inspiration and ideas, no, they are scheduled work intiated by capitalistic companys which say we need to make every year a new game to make more money. Its really a joke.

I really wish I could just laugh about the gaming industry of nowadays, but its just so depressing....

Because I know how good it was back in the Golden Times of Gaming, when money wasnt everything, but these times are long gone by now.

After EverQuest Next is gone, its Star Citizen for me.

Call of Duty 1 was great... It was your slower paced mohaa style ww2 themed shooter with enough room for twitch skill to still stand out competitively.  If the call of duty series had followed a similar development and update path as counter-strike did the game would probably still be a PC esport.

Unfortunately, it's more about the benjamins (I don't blame the suits involved the franchise is a blockbuster) and they cranked out cod2 without fixing the issues cod1 had.

COD2 is where the spastic playing really started to take over, with the mid air proning with perfect accuracy ironsighting play.

Then you get cod4 aka modern warfare 1.... They take it to a new level with perks, and sprinting and all those things the console kiddies love.  COD4 was still good as an esport but for different reasons, it wasn't really a finesse game it was just a spaz around game.

I haven't played any CoD games as far as I remember. The FPS I've tried were Medal of Honor and Unreal Tournament (old ones back in ~2000), Halo 1 & 2, WarRock, I've tried CS:GO recently but it was basically shooting arabs so I uninstalled, and before that I tried CrossFire which was decent FPS imo.
