I've got my bath salts ready.

ACE founders Gordon Walton and Todd Coleman set expectations for the first Big World tests.   FULL STORY

"hey damage splitting...?" "F**** OFF!"

We are specifically interested in hearing your thoughts on our movement and combat revisions, new chat system, the Duelist archetype (and stealth), the removal of damage splitting (and more strict separation of single-target and AoE powers), account wide skills and training, and the harvesting and crafting systems.

Hype.

Questions:

If we leave items on corpses (monster or player) will they eventually despawn?

Will there be enough food to let us run around for 72 hours?  Will food-dropping mobs spawn enough to support our activity (I guess this question is really, do mobs respawn after we kill them, and if yes, in a decent time period)?  Will there be fields to plunder (seems unlikely at this stage)?  Or should we expect to die of hunger on occasion?

A full-loot sandbox that lets us group as we choose sounds pretty much like paradise.  Bloodbath sounds like an apt description, although the world sounds big enough that people shouldn't run in each other all that often unless the population is several orders of magnitude higher than it has been in recent testing.

Really looking forward to testing new combat movement, AE vs single target damage, and so on.  Harvesting and crafting will also be interesting.

No factions. Friendly-fire protection is only applied to members of your group ,No PvP safe areas, Full looting on death, no damage splitting?

Sounds awesome.

No need to implement any of that stuff, ever.

Well if they wanted to go super hardcore they would just get rid of groups in general and let players figure out how to position and coordinate themselves.
