Templar Powers and UI - Official discussion thread

Recommended Posts

Good question. I imagine they didn't want Templar block to be as powerful as knight so they didnt tie it to stamina. Another option would be to make it drain both stamina and righteousness pips.

Templars don't need to block that long since they can combo it into a knockdown, which is a mechanic I wanted for the knight (block > counterattack).

Looks really awesome! I was hoping the Templar would get some Zarya style mechanics but I really like what I'm seeing so far.

Can't wait to play her!

When will we see more cross archetype synergy - such as what is hinted via Duelist's Recon effect being exploited other specialist classes in different ways too...?

"When she is out of Righteousness, the Templar’s passive Faith kicks in, returning her to one point."

I'm assuming Faith has an internal cooldown or something?

A Templar is more than just a knight in shining armor, however. The Templar is a melee-focused holy warrior using an imposing two-handed great sword to execute judgement and protect the righteous. As a tank archetype she is tough to take down, and uses a combination of healing, hitpoint buffs and defense/counter mechanics to form a strong “front-line” offense.

This is exactly how i imagined the Templar to be, wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
