Next Archetype to Release?

I believe the assassin will be the last but I wish it would be the next one coming out. Implementing stealth might be tricky so they probably need most stuff in the game before they can test the effects stealth has on everything.

The Sin or stalker 100%

I don't want to kill more rats, fill another experience point bar or collect another meaningless badge. I want to play a GAME against PLAYERS, where my actions, my decisions and my SKILL will determine if I win or lose. Allies. Enemies. Alliances. Betrayal. risk. Conquest. To compete with THOUSANDS of other players for a chance to claim the THRONE. Even if i lose, the experience won't feel hollow. I don't want another worthless trophy.

They have said they like to tackle the hardest stuff first. So the archetypes that require mechanic changes may be the next up. If the assassin can....fly/glide i would imagine that would be a thing to tackle.

 

Or of course track for the stalker....

 

Or turrents for the forgemaster....

If there is anything to track. He could be used against duelist, but it will get better tested on assasin. Also, tracking may work that you see footprints of people, who were there tens minutes ago. Then it may come already. But I don't think so.

I'm hoping it's the Forgemaster. I'm curious what sort of whacky mechanics he'll have since he's considered a specialist. However I'm cool with everything since all the remaining archetypes seem interesting to me.

I kinda thought it wouldn't be too out of bounds to say we could get a double release (or one close to the other release) of Stalker/Assassin if Assassin isn't up next.

Pretty much agree, I'm going to be maining either Assassin, Stalker, or FM so I wouldn't be dissapointed with any of them coming out next.

Its another thing they shouldn't try and reinvent the wheel with. It worked really well in shadowbane and felt pretty balanced.

 

But yeah my money is on Assassin or Stalker.

They just need to copy and paste the stealth and track system out of Shadowbane.  Doll it up however they want, but the premise of complete invis, with a class that can de-stealth would be nice to see.

 

I think the assassin with gliding capabilities would be a good one to see next.  Too bad they didn't want to go with basic flight, it's so easy to do in Unity.  Gliding however will be fun if players can find a way to bypass walls and glide into locked keeps.

I think a common consensus is that it'll be stalker or assassin. I remember JTodd saying during a livestream that Frostweaver was still a long ways out...and wouldn't be in the pipeline for quite a while.

 

But eh, i'm just excited to see any of the new mechanics. Gliding w/ assassin, anti-stealth w/ stalker, and something random w/ Forgemaster

Champion is out already. And when he wakes up, he just needs broken powers fixed and balancing improvements.

Honestly, you are the type of person that is much to competitive, has zero compassion for other people and think you are better than everyone else. assassin - stealth mechanic

forgemaster - bear stationar turrets mechanic? (hello heim)

Hmm...I was expecting Forgemaster last. I'm gonna be super bummed if we get assassin last.

I'm excited for stalker too though. And they did show stalker concept art and stuff a few livestreams ago if I recall?

if forgemaster will be something like turret's summoner AT - pretty sure he will be last one. coz AI

 

vote for frostweaver only coz it is easy to make. stun, melee/range, aoe, slow, root - all in game already.

 

but I hope next AT will be full rework/buff (usefull) on champion and some balance fixing

I think if we get a champ rework/fix it's gonna come like a week or two before the next AT. Like how knight redux came two weeks before templar. I doubt they bother with a rework tho, probably just fix skills and maybe give them changes to leap and passive

Kinda hope the forgemaster DOESN'T specialize in turrets / stationary combat. Brings back bad memories of ritualists in GW2. Saturating the battlefield with pets/automatons sounds very unappealing.

 

I'm not even sure where this turret business started.
