In the update today we are show and image of the Assassin (most likely class to have stealth if any class would get it), but what really stuck out to me was that the Assassin seems to be attempting to conceal herself. If she had stealth wouldn't make sense to use it?

The fact that she is hiding and not using stealth leads me to believe there will not be stealth.

Or that you have to actually take stealthy action for stealth to work.

"I can see you."

"No, I'm stealthed."

"You're standing in the middle of the street."

"But I'm crouching... stealthily."

Yeah you are jumping to conclusions on this one bro. It makes most sense in pictures to show a stealthy type of character hiding behind a wall. Also if stealth is in the game it needs to be on a time limit. 30seconds to 1minute to get into position.....killing someone could reset this timer? But i hate the idea that someone could stay in stealth mode outside the castle all day waiting for us to leave with no chance of us detecting them.

I would agree with you if there wasn't a Knight hiding with her. To me this says they are 'hiding" on the same level.

Nothing saying the Champion can't have some stealth skill. He branched out with his promotion class, took a discipline, so he could hang with his Fae friend.

Why is that unlikely? The whole system could easily be like Shadowbane.

Like I said "my opinion." But, I will provide some reasoning behind that opinion. I personally feel that stealth is a class defining skill, making it available to all classes would result in almost everyone picking that skill up.

Just to make sure people understand, THIS IS MY OPINION. Feel free to have your own and I encourage you to share it.

I feel like stealth should be a class defining ability aswell, but in Shadowbane for example, there were a lot of classes with invisibility/hide.

Scouts, Wizards, Necros, Assassins, Channelers, etc.

I could live without stealth, but if they need introduce it, I think "sneaking" would be the way to go (like it was in ESO). Not true stealth, but if you crouched down and were a fair distance away from peoples sight, you were actually invisible. If you got closer, you would pop out of "sneak".

Stealth is kinda tricky to balance. It's either extremely obnoxious (gw2 thieves), or absolutely worthless. I'd prefer neither of the two.

Maybe she just got hit by an enemy and her stealth timer is down, so she needs to "hide" until it pops back up again. And she's conferring with her ally to make the moves on the Hunger? She needs him to tank them while she hits them from the back with her sharp pointy daggers?
