Durability is Over the Top

Accusing me of trolling because we have dissenting views isn't exactly productive.  I can assure you I have been here longer than you and will remain  here longer than you.  CF is the closest thing I will ever get to SB 2.  Right now gear will last a few weeks and take a solid day to farm.  I'm ok with that ratio.

You are so disconnected with the current situation Crowfall is in cause you never play. You played one siege during the past what 4 months?

I've been in the same gear for at least 2-3 weeks, with more than 50% durability left on everything.

2 things you may not know:

  • Respawning at the fort gate where your crow appears (aka "tow trucking") causes huge durability loss. With quality gear, it can cause more than 25% durability loss. FLY TO YOUR BODY before you respawn, never tow truck unless you are wearing garbage gear you want to throw away. If you are time limited by real life and can't get to your body, log off & go get it later. It'll be there waiting for you for 2 days.
  • Standing in combat stance causes durability loss on a random piece of equipment every 10 seconds. When you're not fighting shift to survival stance. Having more pieces of gear will reduce the effective durability loss by spreading the loss across more equipment.

Do I lose durability in stealth mode?

Only the spare ones, if you have em.

It is literally the last thing you choose to add pips to.

Depends on what you're making and why, if I was going to make some reasonable green farming gear and had 13 pts, I'd rather have 6pts in stats and 7 in dura, given the choice.

If people die a lot and cannot retrieve there body, tha really takes a chunk out of the durability.

This. If at all possible, do the corpse run. Pulling your body back to the crow's spawn point trashes your gear fast.

@KrakkenSmacken linked u the only correct response as JTC is literally talking about the scenario you're describing.

I am just in the process of making my first set of plate for my Templar and it takes so, so much material that I am glad durability is not lower.  In fact, I wish I had put points in my Templar tree that would have reduced durability loss by 15%

I have been only using starter armor, so not so bad.  But now I see what it takes to make plate, my crow shall fly
