Because this severely hinders healers, crafters and harvesters. I mean, it's not a big deal for me, I don't care about the badge color, but if these leaderboards are ever supposed to be taken seriously and used for meaningful stuff within the game's systems, then it needs to track a lot more stuff than just kills and captures.

@jtoddcoleman @thomasblair giving rewards that crafters, healers and harvesters can’t earn as easily as DPS players is a huge let down.  Why are we doing tiered rewards if not everybody has an equal chance to earn them?  Healing doesn’t not reward assist, this is a problem. 

Im down for tiers of rewards and scarcity but the system has to also support the entire spectrum of play; not just the dps.  

This is disappointing.

Much easier to spin up a test campaign with a simple reward structure, rather than re-work the game's capping and scoring system.

participating and (most importantly!) helping us test the game." 

 

So which is it?  scarcity, or everyone?  Those words mean two completely different things

Scarcity of cosmetic overtones...   
You could always be "Win second prize in a beauty contest, collect $10", Ten bucks is still ten bucks, better if the winner only got $10 too, wait, what...

Maybe this contest separates the winners from the whiners and the also ran.

Scarcity for the gold sigil, everyone else gets the participation trophy. That isn't really a contradiction.

Knights, Myrmidons, Duelists, Champions and Rangers all have bleeds in the base kits. There maybe others. The Knife Grinder discipline gives a bleed.

@Pann Could we decrease amount of places by 2 and increase amount of rewards to each player by 2. This way every DPS will be able to share the second badge with his guild/friend healer/tank/crafter/harvester/scout. With current system all these important players are out.

Honestly, if you want the gold sigil you would be better off capturing outposts, forts, and keeps than trying to get kills.

I think everyone knows the best way to get top 10 is no-life'ing the CW for capping 24/7. The issue is that healers (and specially earthkeeper) are at a disadvantage by being severely gimped in kills and assists, which are two categories that also contribute to the leaderboard score. Dedicated crafters and harvesters even more than healers, because they spend a good chunk of their in game time crafting and/or harvesting instead of capping, as  @Ussiah pointed out.
