its false hope, from the multiple crystals I've harvested on the current test I'm yet to actually get a shard other than worthless noxp (green/blue) ones.

I went adventuring last night for a few hours hunting down shards. Ended up with about a dozen green weapon shards, six blues and one purple. This was most due to the higher density of low ranking hunger nodes. I found one r7 all night, a handful of r6 and most nodes being r4 and r5.

My feeling is that the drop rate is okay ish right now. If connoisseur worked and there were higher ranking nodes I think we’d be in a good place.

At 4 pips, I hit over 30 today on live, with best result being a blue Sacrifice Shard... this is seriously painful. Please roll back to Shard drop-rates in 5.8.3. When it was still a guild undertaking to obtain with the benefit of having a real chance to get what you need. We're talking a singular source for a specific item with 6 variables on drop type and another 7 variables when it comes to rarity.

@thomasblair Hunger shards are not dropping sufficiently and have become far too scarce. Hunger Crystals are no longer spawning on keep or fort parcels either, so finding high quality ones is PROHIBITIVELY difficult and time-consuming.
